This was my first time to this place. It was only two of us and we didn’t order that much. A Waffle and a breakfast sandwich to be exact. We waited for over 40 minutes for our food. The waitress didn’t tell us what the hold up was until we asked. And it was some bullshit story about the computer not registering our food. This is after tables of 4 and 6 that were sat after us had already received their food. After we finally received our food, I asked if I could talk to manager, and our waitress said he or she wasn’t there! Mind you, this was a busy Saturday morning for brunch. While I don’t think it racially motivated, I must say that I’m black and the groups that came after us and received their food before us were Caucasian. It did make me feel some type of way. If I wasn’t really hungry I would of left. And I don’t believe it dining and dashing even though in this case it was warranted. Not the best experience.

The food is good(particularly the cheesy bacon ranch fries!), but the service is always abysmally slow. It takes at least an hour for all the food to come out, particularly with a full table of 4 or more. The servers are alright though they could be around more and not be talking amongst themselves behind the bar while you’re sitting there trying to flag them down for more water

As a college student, this place is heaven. Most students around the area know this restaurant very well. If you need late night food that won’t isn’t going to completely clog up your heart or have you feeling groggy the next day, this is the place for you. I give this restaurant 5 stars for two reasons that are important to me as an eater: Vibe and Options. The vibe of the restaurant is very convenient and practical. There is a «to-go» section(many different types of beer!) and a «sit-and-eat» section. The options on their menu are more on the less greasy side. I find that very important because it’s hard to find food that’s healthful for you unless you prepare it yourself.(maybe i’m just lazy…) The rest of the points goes to their beer section. Savas probably has a plethora of beer you can choose from and that really seals the deal for me. I’m a regular here. Savas has been there for me when I needed that salmon mediterranean at 11PM.

A great place for a variety of food with a very friendly staff. You can eat in, take out, and also have it delivered. I usually go for the burgers or wraps, but I must say the baked ziti is pretty good, and I won’t say that about many take out spots in the city in regards to pasta.

I ordered delivery and everything arrived nearly inedible. The cheesesteak was OK. I didn’t try the pizza, but most items seemed either thrown together into a pile of slop or almost stale. I don’t believe they put much care into the food they are serving and will stay away for a while.

I’m not sure why the reviews aren’t all 5 stars. The waiters aren’t perfect but if you speak up when you see them walk by then you won’t have to wait. The food is very good, especially for the price. The place is clean, has a normal beer selection, is well priced, and quite frankly is the«best» restaurant in the 5 block radius. Reason for negative reviews: Spoiled fucks who care about people treating them like royalty… Seriously, if you rate a food place, rate it on the food, comfort, and service(NOT just the service for every damn review you write… I guess Unilocal is useless).

Usually has good food but the last couple times I’ve been the food wasn’t good. The reason for the 3 stars was the service, they are really nice. Not a bad place for a quick bite but it’s a hit or miss. Buffalo boneless wings are awful here too. Taste like chicken nuggets soaked in sauce.

One of the underrated establishments on Drexel’s campus, Savas succeeds on various levels. My favorite menu item is the Chopped salad, which I order all the time; simple, delicious, healthy option. Second would have to be the wraps and paninis, followed by the pizza. But to top it all off, they have a wide selection of beer. It takes the best of Ed’s and Mad Greeks and puts them into one building(except for Ed’s wings). Everything at Savas is well-prepared and very satisfying.

I have had many good meals here but today I was so disappointed. I ordered a Capri panini with avocado instead of mozzarella. When ordered, they didn’t tell me they were out of mozzarella so they gave me a sandwich with two slices of tomato and 3 leaves of basil. I called again and asked for extra basil and they sent me 3 more leaves. I am not sure how expensive basil is nowadays(except that it’s super cheap) so I think they could’ve at least given me some basil for my tomato sandwich.

Friendly service and a posh atmosphere. Nice for day or evening meals. Watch the fries, they’re dangerously good, lol. Great for large groups or intimate get togethers. Close to all the attractions Philly has to offer.

«It’s not shitty, but it’s not spectacular” — as my complaining friend says across staring at his ordered«dry panini» we’ve been here before and the foods been better, but this time not as good.

Oh Savas… you make me miss college. The slices are huge and delicious(I’ve heard that they’ve gone downhill of late but I stubbornly refuse to believe it). There’s a bar here, so you can drink if you want, but… I’d recommend skipping that and saving all your room for the pizza, chicken fingers(with honey mustard of course), fries(dipped in ranch of course), salads, paninis… you get where I’m going with this. Good, low-maintenance, reasonably priced drunk OR sober food. I like it. I like it a lot.

This is basically where every Drexel student lives… or at Landmark. Savas was always one of my favorite places to eat at when I was in undergrad. Breakfast, lunch or, dinner– I was always satisfied. I would pick up food on my way home from class while I’m in my sweats or I would get it delivered. Service is speedy quick! My top 5 items on the menu would have to be: –French toast –Baked ziti –Grilled chicken platter –Spinach and ricotta pizza –Southwestern panini with EXTRA jalapenos Savas also sells beer so my friends and I would stop by to pick up a case about once a week. They also have a bar inside. Only sat at the bar for a drink once because they never really have any drink specials. Overall, the food is great and I love this place! Go check it out!

Went on an awkward first date and it was fine. Tried the grilled chicken salad and the spinach ricotta white pizza. I’d say it’s upscale college pizza. Happy hours beer was a great deal — $ 3.00 for a Magic Hat. I liked the outdoor seating, but the inside has a weird vibe. Or maybe it was my weird date.

When its late at night and you want something to eat, any of the pizza places in the area is a good place to call. We usually order buffalo wings, i think their wings is okey and sauce is too salty but my friend likes it so it works out. We came in one day to get pizza slices, the girl behind the cash register was rude and snotty. When she saw us standing in front of her, she did not ask the typical«what can I get you«instead it was just a blank stare. When I placed my order, she started laughing. There are way too many pizza places in the area for you to act like a child. Even children could behave better than you . With so many competition in university city; keep up with the behavior !

I’ve been here a bunch of times since I went to Drexel. Their food is decent with a nice selection of pizza, panins, wraps, brunch items, etc. It is standard American/Italian food. I wouldn’t rave about. The prices are decent. Fortunately they’re open til 2am or something awesome like that so go get your drunchies on people.

This is a regular American restaurant, but one I could not have lived without during my time at Drexel. I always go back because the food is so good. I wish it was closer to main campus so people would go here more often rather than Landmark because Savas food is so much better. I’ve always gotten delivery and sat in to eat and have never regretted it! The bar is a little whatever and overpriced though, I wish that was better. Favorite dishes: Baked ziti — SOGOOD, very cheesy and if you add veggies like zucchini and peppers it is even better Penne alfredo — simple dish, but somehow just better at Savas Fiesta pizza — 24⁄7 craving this and have intro’d it to my Virginia cousins who love it and always ask for it when I visit

I’ve gotten delivery from Savas before with some coworkers. Usually I get the chicken quesadilla. It’s a pretty big portion that I can split with someone. It comes with fries and guacamole and salsa. The next time around, I actually went to the restaurant with an old friend. Service was a bit quiet; I only noticed one person taking orders. I ordered the BBQ chicken panini. The sandwich was large and cut in two and came with an order of fries. The panini came out toasty and was very filling. I ate half the sandwich and packed the other half. Service could use a bit of improvement. it took a bit of time to get the check squared away.
