IF I COULDGIVENOSTARS I WOULD!!! To ALL my natural ladies out there pleasssseeee be ware of shops who CLAIM to specialize in the treatment of natural hair because as you can see by the picture I posted that trying Sassy’s Beauty Bar was the worst decison I ever made. No only did the color NOT turn out like the color I choose from her book, but it was a multi-colored hot mess! My edges were blonde, middle and patches of orange, and ends honey blonde. My first visit to the shop I arrived around 12pm-12:30pm and didnt leave out of there until almost 1am just for a color, cut and wash & curl and NO the shop was not crowded. It was opposite, very empty. I was being service for atleast 10hrs! The first 2 i waited in the waiting area. After being in the shop all night I was exhausted and barely looked at my hair in addition the dark lighting around the mirrors in the shop didnt allow me to properly exam my hair until I got home. The next day I throughly examined my hair and was alittle taken back by the bright colors(and I do mean colors meaning more than the 2 that we originally agreed on when i choose the color). I tried a day without calling the Salon just to see if maybe it would grow on me but I couldnt and I called the Salon and spoke to the owner Sassy on Monday(2 days after my first visit that Sat) informing her that I wasnt feeling the mulit colors and asked her if I can come in to get it fixed. She went on to explain to me that she had a pretty busy week but that I could come in on Tuesday which would be the next time the shop was opened. She also informed me that she was going on a mini vacay or taking some days off which to me sounded like she really didnt have the time. I figured due to the Xmas Holiday which was that Friday her schedule was tight so I told her I understood and that I would wait until after the Xmas. I went to work that Monday & Tuesday and was taken back by my co workers reactions to my hair. When I first examed my hair I didnt even notice the middle/back part was a honey blonde color(the color im referring to is on the very ends which you can see the differences in color in my sloppy bun). After having to convince my co workers that this was actually done in a Salon and not in my kitchen at home I knew I couldnt wait until after Xmas. I was so embarrassed by the color that I wore a hat the next day at work(if I can find that picture I will add it as well). I took a day off work(I had a dentist appt in the afternoon anyway which I was already scheduled for half a day off). I called the Salon and asked for the owner Sassy which her assistant/stylist informed me that she was on her way in the shop but havent gotten there yet. I told her that I was coming in to get my color fixed and asked if that was ok which she confirmed it was. I arrived at the shop alittle later than expected and knew that due to my upcoming dentist appt. I prob wouldnt be able to get the color fixed which my main concern was for Sassy to look at my hair in order to confirm that in fact it was a hot mess and discuss the options to fix it. When I got to the shop her assistant/stylist informed me that Sassy went to lunch. I waited about 30−45min and than left because it was getting close to my dentist appt. I informed her assistant/stylist this who said ok and I left. I wasnt upset about anything at this point because I was confident that it could be fixed and I expected to hear from Sassy since she was aware that I was there and what I was there for. SHEDIDNTCALL/FOLLOW UP with me at all!!! That Saturaday, after Xmas I went back to the shop because I didnt want to have to take any more time off work. I called Sassy actually speaking to her directly and making the appt. to get the color fixed. When I go there on saturday the process begin with the same stylist attempting to make my hair one color in the dyed area. I was there for 10hrs on this day being serviced the entire time(AGAIN!!!) in this time she was trying to fix the color. Each time she put a color on top of the multi colored mess she would blow dry, put the color in, put me under the steamer, wash and blow dry. This process was done 4x’s!!! I’m sure all my naturals out there pretty much guess that i’m far from a naturlista at this point. My hair is now reached the point of complete damage in the colored area. When I sat back down in the color chair for the 3rd time the stylist told me she was going to put a burgundy color in my hair(huh? What? she was for real) I told her that I originally wanted light brown color so burgundy would be completely opposite than what I wanted. At this point I could tell she was just guessing and experimenting. The problem that she was having was she kept choosing colors with a red base so each time she put it in my hair it only made the orange(lighter) section turn red and more red until I looked like a clown and that was the point where she mentioned the burgundy to try and tone down the red.
