History

Established in 2014.

After spending a few years in Marketing with Comcast, Roger West began to crave a career that would be more therapeutic and true to his nature. He combined his playful spirit with his love of people, animals, and the outdoors, leading him to his passion for dog walking.

Roger then created Roger That! Philadelphia Dog Walkers, LLC with just one client, a Shih Tzu named Jake. From there, word spread to other dog owners and a year later, we had a full schedule of walks throughout the whole city.

Born in Philadelphia, Roger seeks to strengthen the communities of this great city by connecting people through their mutual love of dogs.

Roger grew up here, walking his dogs Buddy (Rottweiler/​Doberman), Amber (Golden Retriever/​Irish Setter), and Ebony (Rottweiler) all around the North East before attending college at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. After graduating with a BA in Professional Writing, he began his career working at 1&1 Webhosting as a Technical Writer and, three years later, had become a valued member of Comcast’s regional marketing team.

After spending a few years in various different offices, Roger began to crave a career that would be more therapeutic and true to his nature. He combined his playful spirit with his love of people, animals, and the outdoors, leading him to his passion for dog walking.
