Dr. Richard Walicki is a GREAT dentist. He really really knows what he is doing.
Never tries to sell you stuff you don’t need and he has a friendly and super helpful staff.
I wished he would move to Los Angeles so I wouldn’t have to fly to Philly to see him.
He is one of the best and smartest Dentists around !!!

I hate dentist visits almost as much as I hate doctor visits. I’ve been to a handful of different dentists over the years, in LA and Philadelphia, and I’m not afraid to be critical of practitioners in the medical field. As deliverers of essential human services, I hold them to a very high standard.
When I needed a broken tooth extracted a few years back, a friend recommended Dr. Richard Walicki in Port Richmond. I was a little skeptical of a neighborhood dentist but my friend assured me I’d be happy with her choice.
I was pleasantly surprised by how modern the office was, and impressed with the intelligence and clarity of Dr. Walicki as we discussed the options for my dental problem. I opted to go ahead with the extraction. Thanks to the extreme care of the dentist and his staff the procedure was painless, and was over before I knew it.
This week I had a similar problem with another of my rear teeth. Although I hadn’t visited Dr. Walicki for the recommended follow-​ups after the previous extraction, he gave me no attitude and took care of my problem as swiftly and painlessly as before.
Although I had to travel a bit to reach his office, which is two exits north of center city off 95, there was plenty of street parking right outside, as well as a parking lot (which I didn’t use).
His office is comfortably modern, with huge stacks of pristine National Geographics while you wait. Receptionist Megan is friendly and efficient. Although it had been a few years since my last visit, she told me there was no need to fill out all the paperwork, that she’d copy most of the info over for me from my last visit.
The assisting dental tech was just as friendly and efficient. Dr. Walicki himself is as sharp a doctor as I’ve encountered in any field, in LA or Philly. While waiting for the first (of three) anaesthetic injections to take effect, he explained what the problem with my tooth was and all the options, very clearly and without hustling any expensive solutions.
For the quality of the work, the atmosphere, and the efficiency (I was in and out in an hour) the service was a bargain.
If you hate pain, want great dental work done at a very good price, you can’t go wrong here.
