Prestige Movers

They just completed my job and I was extremely happy with how the move went, they showed up around 8am with 3 men and a big truck. Alonso, kiere and one other guy and they walked in with great attitude and they were ready to get the job done from the start. I know it was fathers day but these guys did not have any problems moving me on a Sunday morning, they came in wrapped all my furniture, I had a pretty big couch it took them 3 minutes to move it where the other movers took 30 minutes to figure out how to move it in the estimated total was around $ 900.00 but I ended up paying $ 650.00 because the guys where faster then estimated I will use prestige movers again.

I needed a mover last minute due to a crazy schedule change, and this was the only moving company available. The customer service I talked to was nice so although there weren’t many reviews on this company I felt reassured. I also chose this because there was a Groupon for it. WOW, worst mistake. I would never use this moving company ever again. I had a one bedroom apartment moved last week to 6 blocks down, and this should not have taken more than 3 hours– or even 4 hours MAX with 3 movers (5 including us).
First the movers arrived in a noticeably cranky mood, and I understood because it was a hot day and they were coming straight from a previous move. However that does not excuse their lack of polite greetings. They were SO slow that just to load the truck in my apartment, it took them over 4.5 hours. I have had a full house 5 bedroom loaded and unloaded in less time from a better moving company. I stayed polite and calm, but this took way too long that eventually my boyfriend and I started doing the actual move ourselves– our bed frame, desks, etc. It was torturing to watch them move so slow. We had a flight to catch that night (yes, we had a crazy schedule) and the move ran way past estimated time that I even had to call a friend to take over for me.
I called the company to pay them the invoice before I took my flight with the understanding that they will unload the furniture to its appropriate rooms. (Like the bed to the bedroom, etc). I told them I would like to use a groupon, but they said they won’t take them because I didn’t mention it the previous day and that they’re too busy. That is not included in their Groupon Exclusions, but I didn’t even have time to argue. I just wanted this nightmare move to be over. Wow when I came back home I was SHOCKED and ENRAGED at how not only was everything just left in the living room but also at how disrespectfully everything was thrown all over the place. The pictures on Unilocal uploaded by the owner show blankets and covers to protect the furniture from getting damaged, but they did not do that for any of my furniture. I had several scratches and damages on my belongings. The worst part is we had to move all furniture and boxes upstairs and to the basement ourselves. What’s the point of even hiring a moving company of we’re going to have to do more work? This was a great waste of $ 600. This kind of service is not what we agreed on.

Thank you to the moving men for finishing up my move with professionalism even though my move ran late. None of my things were missing and they even took money off my bill because of the time. I was moving a five bedroom house so the late time was expected. I will be recommending your company to other people and thank you again.

I had called 2 month Ago for an Estimate and spoke to fred, I’m moving a 3 bedroom house from Wilmington DE to Philadelphia and they came out for an estimate, I had a few heavy items like a piano, and a pool table they said there is no problem and they quoted me between 8 – 9 hours, I have a 3800 Sq house, I got a few estimates from other moving companies and I was shocked how many hours they estimated as well as there extra hidden fees (stairs, Plano $ 250.00, travel time 1 hour).
So I looked at Prestige they gave me a flat hourly rate and it was great special they were running, the total move took 8.5 hours with 3 men.
Rojer and the crew did an amazing job, they refused to eat until the job got done, I bought them pizza they said it would slow them down a bit.
