We’ve been going to Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen for many years. After two days being stuck at home because of the Jonas storm, my children and I craved for some good food. This time, we decided to get some fried chicken from Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen on 2027 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA19148. We arrived at 5:00 P.M. on 01/24/2016. When I got there, there was a African American man complaining about something and talked to the manager. Obviously the customer was not satisfied. I was shocked that the customer threw his order in the bag at the cashier counter. He also demanded his money back. I didn’t know exactly what started the problem, but I didn’t see that the workers were capable to resolve the issue with good customer service. After the upset customer leave the store, A young African American female cashier took my order of 12 pieces mild fried chicken for about fifteen dollars(obviously she did not give my receipt for the purchase) She immediately took a box and picked some fried chicken from the warmer. I asked her for some hot sauce and ketchup. Then, I went straight home without being suspicious since I always had good experiences with Popeye’s. When I got home, I found that the cashier gave us 2 pieces of Breast, 2 pieces of Thighs, and 8 pieces of SMALLOVERCOOKEDWINGS. Not only it was small, the chicken was soggy and hard like rubber. It was not edible at all. The quality of the food was not acceptable! So, I tried calling the store to complaint, but the store number(215) 334‑3022 was not available. I didn’t want to return to that store because the road condition was cold and slippery after the blizzard. I have found many negative reviews at this particular store, but for now I will not return to Popeye’s and I strongly couldn’t recommend anyone to purchase Popeye’s Chicken until this issue is resolved! I will follow up with if there is some resolution from the company.

I eat Popeye’s all the time but this location is getting horrible. ordered a 3pc meal drinks sides and all. dine in. I notice she gave me 1 napkin not even a Popeye’s napkin but I continue to eat chicken seem fresh and hot but noticed it may been cooked in old grease. so when I finished I asked the cashier for another napkin. she said they was only allowed to give 1 napkin per customer .wtf! left walked 2blocks and wind up throwing everything up my stomach rejected it.

it never fails. every other time we go something is wrong or missing… you go there takes 3 people to place 1 order. including the supervisor. you place and order and something is wrong or left out. asked for mixed reg and spicy got all regular asked for side of small mashed potatoes. get home .ta da no potatoes! i mean this is not rocket science people. and fast food workers want $ 15 and hr!!! The chicken is ok. but they need to drink some wake up or energy drink they are all half asleep! And the place was not busy at all. one woman before me. I can understand a busy lunchtime. or dinnertime. really pathetic service.

You’re chicken bones are all over the street. The 4 square blocks surrounding your store are disgusting; littered with your slop. Please curb your customers and try to reduce the amount of paper refuse you hand out with every order. People live in this neighborhood and we don’t appreciate 3 day old smelly chicken on the sidewalk.

As always, I’m judging this against its competition in the same category. .. not against Michelin Star restaurants. And, for my money, Popeyes is the best chain for fried chicken. .. it’s tasty, crispy, fresh… But, let me tell you the biggest reason for the four stars: This location has great customer service. These kids are not making a fortune, but someone back there must be a good manager because the staff is always friendly, helpful and smiling. I’ve never yet had a bad experience at this location. .. so, kudos to the staff and management. As a Southerner, I occasionally need my fried chicken fix. And, I have NEVER liked KFC. .. not the soggy original recipe or the overly breaded crispy. This is my go to fast food chicken place, hands down.

It is what it is: Get yo chicken and leave. ~ The service ranges from Shit to God-aweful. So what, it’s Popeyes! ~A bum may belch over your food while begging for change. So what, it’s Popeyes! ~A fat-chick in stretch-shirt and Uggs may pay with cash from her sweaty bra. So what, it’s Popeyes! It’s fast. It’s crispy. It’s good. I don’t care how stereotypical it is. Popeye’s at Broad and Snyder has good chicken and has some of the best people watching in town.

I only ever seem to end up here around closing time, so they are almost always out of at least one kind of chicken I want(either they don’t have any more spicy, or any more white meat, or whatever). It’s my favorite fast food, though, so I still go. The previous reviewer is right – the dining area is around 80 °F in both summer and winter, so it’s not ideal for eating in. Not to mention they seem strangely barren of tables. Their sides are delicious, though, especially the beans, and they always make fries fresh to order. One last note: unlike KFC, their chicken is amazingly good eaten cold the next day – equally as good as when it’s fresh, actually. INSUMMARY Food freshness: usually good Order accuracy: 60%, below average Overall staff attitude: lackluster Cleanliness of dining area: not dirty, but the floor is always slippery Cleanliness of bathrooms: ? Refills on drinks: no Condiments, napkins, utensils: at the counter Kid’s play area: no Drive-through: no

I love me some Popeyes. I love the chicken, biscuits, and mashed potatoes. It’s all good to me. I usually spend about $ 30 for the family deal. A good quick solution for dinner. One thing I need to say about this location is that it is unbelievably depressing. They really couldn’t care less about the atmosphere of the place or décor. No frills here, folks. Just walk allll the way to the back to order your food, and if you choose to stay in(I would never!), there are a couple of seats for you. Service wise, I don’t care and they don’t care. They aren’t overbearingly nice and they aren’t surly. Don’t be surprised for lack of eye contact. They just get their job done. I’m fine with that. I just want to get the hell out of there ASAP and they probably do, too. The location is South Broad near Snyder and I don’t normally have problems parking around here. You can park on the yellow median, on the east side of Broad, or on Snyder. It’s also accessible by Septa via the C, 79, or the Orange line.

Popeye’s is one of the few fast food chains I’ll regularly eat at, and this one has some of the nicest employees ever. I normally have to wait a few minutes for my food because they seem to run out of chicken strips on a regular basis, but I don’t mind because that means my food will be super fresh. As far as food quality goes… it’s Cajun fast food. It’s yummy, but certainly not authentic. Even so, it’s never anywhere near as nasty as most fast food joints, so it keeps my belly full on the cheap. The location itself is a bit too warm(the only reason it loses a star from me), but it doesn’t really matter ’cause it’s so close to my apartment that I just always grab my food to go.
