History

Established in 2015.

Since Spring 2015, Philly Maid Green was build with the mission to make our city greener, cleaner, and healthier, as well as the belief that learning the importance of doing so starts at home. With our house cleaning services and homemade, non-toxic cleaning products, we’re going right into clients homes and showing them just how easy and affordable it is to make healthier choices for themselves and the environment… without needing to lift a finger! We also improve the city with our community clean-ups and educational workshops that teach people about the harmful toxins in regular cleaning products and help them make their own healthy cleaning products to bring home! In one year, we’ve grown from a recent college grad with a bike, a mop, and a mission, to eight staff members, over 60 regular clients, and our own blossoming line of eco-friendly cleaning products. So if you want unbeatable rates and the healthiest cleaning for you and your home, Philly Maid Green was maid for you!

Meet the Business Owner

Bri D.

Business Owner

Bri is a freelance writer, activist, and entrepreneur with a passion for ethical business, sustainability, and the environment. She is known for being knowledgeable, honest, thorough, and dependable. She has almost eight years of cleaning experience, having worked as a maid in hotels and daycare centers since high school.

As an English and Journalism student at the University of Delaware, Bri used her innate passion and public relation skills to help spearhead a student movement to stop a power plant from being built on campus. After graduating in May 2014, Bri moved to Fishtown on a whim and fell in love with the community. She believes that learning the importance of going green starts at home and it was from this knowledge, passion, and experiences that inspired her to create Philly Maid Green. All in all, she aspires to use her organic cleaning business as a vessel to transition Philadelphia to one of the cleanest, healthiest and most sustainable cities in America.
