Pasiano’s

Such a wonderful combination of Filipino and Italian cuisine. Only problem is everything else.
1. server Jon or Joe, was quite possibly the worst server ever. Did not know the menu, gave a snarky remark about turning down the air conditioning. Took nearly 2 hours for our food to come out. Never filled our water. We were the only customers for 2 hours on a wednesday night. Confused out food and mislabeled it when we decided to doggie bag it.
2. food was overall decent. definitely had better. the palabok was DREADFUL. the menudo was decent. the chicken wings were decent. my friend ordered the fettucini which was decent.
3. if you see the server JON OR JOE, RUN! Get ur food to go.
4. the food is decent and filipino food is in short supply. go there only if you cant find it elsewhere. the food is not enough to save it.
5. i went to the restaurant with my Filipino wife and filipino friend. they were not impressed.
6. décor is largely mediterranean and italian. place is moderately sized and parking is sparse. its sort of located in a northeast rowhome neighborhood.

Fantastic, authentic Filipino food!!! True home cooking. The crispy pata is unbelievable. The owners do such an excellent job with personally preparing all of the food and also take the time to speak with their customers. Every item on their Filipino menu is delicious. Hands down the BEST Filipino restaurant, better than all the restaurants we have tried in CA and NY!!!

I had dinner here with high hopes that Philadelphia finally got decent Filipino spot to replace Manila Bay in the NE. For some reason I had it in my head that Pasiano’s was Italian/​Filipino fusion but it turns out that it is Italian + Filipino food. No biggie. My girlfriend and I ordered the Lumpiang Shanghai and the Lumpiang Prito for the apps. I originally wanted the Chicharon but they were making them at the moment and it would take over an hour to be ready. Please stick with the Lumpiang Prito. These are those delicious little cigar rolls. The Lumpiang Shanghai broke open like an oil spill. See the pics. For the main we ordered the Inihow Na Manok and the Inihow Na Baboy. The Manok was supposed to be grilled but you can tell from the looks and the taste that it was in the deep fryer at one point. The skin was burnt black and somehow the chicken was still raw. See pics. The Baboy came with 3 thin chops. The first chop I had was a little dry then they progressively became dryer and more burnt. The last piece was literally black on one side. Sorry Pasiano’s but the Filipino side of things don’t look to well, maybe the Italian side is better but we won’t be back to try. The service on the other hand was good. The waiter was pretty new so he didn’t know too much but apologized for the lip stick stained wine glasses that were on our table. Sigh the search continues…

Filipino and Italian under one roof! Two of my favorite cuisines! Today we are trying strictly the Filipino menu. We will return for the Italian menu. A bonus we didn’t expect to see here is the avocado shake. Nice. We ordered Kare-​Kare, Tinolang Manok and Lechon Kawali.

Bottom line: this is a family joint where the soul of the owners is clearly put into everything they do. Impossible not to fall in love here.
I’m almost scared to write this review because it’ll mean that everyone else will start going. The Filipino food here is out of this world. I’ve been to the Philippines twice before, and this is a 95% solution. The lumpia hubad will leave your mouth watering for more — so fresh and clean. The Eskabetseng tilapia is thick and juicy… No way they’re making a good margin on that one. You would normally pay $ 40 for that fish dish in a restaurant. Uh-​mazing. The kare kare is thick and peanut-​ty, with a healthy array of fresh vegetables and seasonings. You can’t leave here without trying the Halo Halo either.

Our experienced was horrible! I will not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends and relatives. Horrible serviced, Long wait. Food was cold and dry. Cesar salad came last. No cheese on Bruschetta, no meat on Lumpiang prito, chicken Marsala was dry and cold. My palabok was warm outside and cold inside. The rice soup (goto) was good though.

This was my first time eating at Pasiano’s. I typically enjoy Italian cuisine and have tried most places in the area. It’s become increasingly difficult to find a good restaurant in the area that serves quality food at an affordable price with an inventive menu. I came across Pasiano’s on
and decided to give it a try for dinner with my boyfriend on a Thursday evening. The restaurant itself is a bit small but it’s very nicely decorated with a homey feel. From the start of my meal, my server was nice, attentive and had full knowledge of the menu and specials she was serving. I ordered Italian Wedding soup which was huge, not to mention delicious! For my meal, I ordered the Penne Vodka with shrimp and my boyfriend had the Chicken Parmigiana. The plates were HUGE! I had enough for three meals! (and I ended up making two additional meals with the leftovers I took home). Delicious is an understatement. I haven’t fully enjoyed a meal this much in a long time! The shrimp was blackened to perfection (at my request) and the vodka sauce was to die for! The chicken parm took up a plate by itself and another was brought to the table for the pasta. Chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious. The chef himself came out and greeted the tables and made sure we were happy with our meals. I rarely ever see that which is a very nice touch! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience!
I can’t wait to go back and try something else from the menu. This restaurant is truly a gem with a very talented chef!

This is my second time eating at Pasiano’s since it has gone under new management and new chef. I must say it has been a great decision to start eating here today. They have gone from strict Italian to Mediterranean fusion. The food is fantastic. The new chef has taken his imagination to a whole new level.
I was with a party of 13 with 5 children. And he was able to make everyone happy. I ordered the veal menago. It was veal with prosciutto, mozzarella and crab meat in a lemon caper sauce. So delicious. Other dishes that were ordered ranged from filet mignon to seafood and even duck breast. Everyone enjoyed every bite. And while they do not have a children’s menu, the restaurant accommodated them nicely. They offered ravioli and hand breaded chicken fingers. And simple pasta. The kids were very excited to eat. Oh I almost forgot. A few of us split the mussels and chorizo appetizer. Oh my god! I asked where if the chorizo was made in house. I was told it was not but it was local out of Bethlehem. So good. And it was served in a saffron broth which added a great earthiness to the dish.
The service was fantastic as well. Our main server her name is Kim. She was very attentive and stayed on top of the table from the littlest thing. I do not remember the name of the other server (I feel bad that I don’t) but she was fantastic as well. They both seemed to sincerely enjoy their job.
I plan on going back there in the very near future to try their new brunch menu. It has a Spanish influence and my mouth watered just from reading the menu.

I have eaten here several times over the past three years. Unfortunately, the restaurant has gone down hill since my first experience. Food quality has gone down while pricing has risen. Example: mozzarella and tomato appetizer has shrunk in size (which is ok because it’s perfect for two) but increased in cost? The majority of entrees have seafood in them which would be fine if there were some entrees with meatballs or sausage. This is supposed to be Italian, right? $ 80 for one appetizer, two salads, two entrees, and one fair dessert seem a bit steep for the area. I have no problem paying a high price for dinner but cost goes hand in hand with quality. I understand that a new owner has recently taken over? Not sure if that’s true but I hope he/​she reads this and brings back the quality homemade food with fair (doesn’t have to be cheap but fair) pricing.

I’ve been here 3 times when I go home to Philly to visit family. The restaurant is cozy, the service is friendly and prompt, and the food is consistently delicious. I like the BYOB, because my family can DRINK. Last time I went was with a group of 8– we split appetizers (calamari, mushrooms, lobster mac and cheese– all very good). I ordered the seafood special– salmon with lump crabmeat and fresh veggies on the side. SO GOOD! I was thinking about that meal for two weeks. I can’t understand the negative reviews on here– this place is worth checking out.

No real complaints. Lobster mac n cheese was good. Tortellini was pretty good. liked the atmosphere. Only negatives were that kind of felt like we were being rushed because we were the last table there and the wall by our table was dirty. I just find that to be a bit of a turnoff. Oh, and parking was a pain.
