So how would you like to wait for 2 hours at the doctor’s office and not be seen?
This is my first official review of any office and I will not be writing one if it did not upset me so much.
I had a 3PM appointment with Dr. Nemiroff today. I came 15 minutes early for paperwork. The office staff were frantic because charts on Dr. Nemiroff’s slot were stacking up. Already it seems like the appointment is going to run late. As a person who works in the health care field, I understand there might be times I doctor can run late. Whatever.
An hour and a magazine later, I am still in the waiting room. Well, could Dr. Nemiroff be the attentive type of doctor who takes his time with his patients? If so, I guess I can wait.
Finally, I was called in. The assistant asks me to undress and put the gowns on. Surely this means I will see the doctor soon.
Another hour and another magazine later. Knock knock.
Assistant: «Hi, I am sorry to tell you this but we do not know where the doctor is.»
Me: WTF?
Assistant: «We think he might have had an emergency but we are not sure. He is not in the office and he is not wearing his pager so there is no way for us to find him.»
Me: Come again?
Assistant: «So, I cannot tell you when he will be back or how long you will have to wait.»
So you mean to tell me after an hour wait in the waiting room and another hour wait NAKED and you DO NOT know where the doctor is or when he will be back? What kind of office this is? What kind of doctor is this? If I am doing my part as a patient then do your part as the doctor, Dr. Nemiroff.
Of all my years going to doctors, I have never had this happened to me. Needless to say, I am not going back.
