Nangellini offers art-​to-​wear, delicious yarns, and unique fine art.

We specialize in locally crafted pieces and handspun, locally dyed yarns.

We also offer classes in knitting, crochet, spinning and weaving.

History

Established in 2005.

We were on South Street for 9 years and moved to Northern Liberties in November 2014. We are now next to Bar Ferdinand on Liberties Walk.

Business Owner

As a child I loved symmetry. I loved color. Later, I studied sacred geometry (the underlying mathematical order with which the entire Universe is made manifest) and created hand drawn and digital mandalas based on various aspects of sacred geometry.

I began working with fiber in 2000. I crocheted many free form garments and accessories, and then moved on to knitting more items. The spinning started during this time as well.

I started making lace mandalas Early 2010 and began weaving Fall 2011 and have been full throttle spinning, knitting and weaving since. There is an endless variety of techniques to explore. I fully expect more techniques and manifestations will emerge.

I currently card, blend and spin art yarns; knit, weave, and create many forms of wearable art which I sell in my gallery and yarn shop, Nangellini, located in Northern Liberties, Philadelphia (2005-​present).
