The three antique chairs they upholstered for us are magnificent. The gentlemen there at MIchael’s are truly talented and we could not be more happy with the work. The armchair is from the 1840s and they were familiar with the appropriate methods including some elaborate tufting. The other two chairs didn’t even have their springs anymore and they replaced them before upholstering them. I was impressed that they understood historic furniture and its special issues. We plan to send more projects their way and to recommend their business to our friends.

Steve and the guys at Michael’s are great. We just got our newly refinished couch back from them and it is perfect. They were patient, thoughtful, and professional. The couch we had restored is fairly rare and they even went out and did their own research to make sure they got it just right. We couldn’t be happier and will definitely be returning and recommending them to anyone that needs something upholstered.

Walked by this shop many mornings walking my dog though never stopped in. Then, one day I decided it would be a good idea to wash my couch cushion cover, bad idea, the thing basically fell apart, and I fell apart a little bit too. After a long frustrating conversation with CB2 who told me they don’t sell replacements for that particular couch I decided to walk over to Michael’s and see what it would take to make a new one. Steve recognized me from the soup kitchen and from walking by and said before we take that step we should see if he could save it, and save it he did. Looks good as new, and as an added, huge, kind bonus, he didn’t charge me anything. I’m an sure if we had to start from scratch he would have, but for whatever nice reason, he said not to worry about it. Made me day. Made my month actually. Thanks Steve. Def worth a stop in if you need any upholstery work and looks like they have some other furniture they redo on their own and sell from the space.
