This place is beautiful. I love going in after work and getting a pack of the ravioli, some gravy, and like ten meatballs. and heating it all up at home. It is the most satisfying ten-minute meal in the world. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is the best, and the price is right.

This is the epitome of an awesome mom and pop Italian grocery/deli! It was my first time walking in, and everyone behind the counter greeted me with a smile and made some recommendations. They let me sample the marinated mozzerella which was great. I ordered a wonderful sandwich with fried eggplant which was made from scratch right on the spot. The tortellini salad was also delicious. The chef/baker was kind enough to give me 5 free biscotti on my way out, and even took my number so they can let me know when they’d be making my favorite Italian pastry. I will be going back!

Matteo’s has the best ravioli and gnocchi around. We had them for Christmas and everyone enjoyed them so much. Maria is the nicest person you will find and always asks how everything was. I highly recommend them for all your italian specialty needs.

I’ve been living in South Philly for about 6 months and I cannot remember the last time a week went by where I did not go to Matteo’s for lunch. Best Chicken Cutlet Sandwich I’ve ever had, hands down! In addition, we recently had a party for about 30 people and Matteos’ catered the party with Penne alla Vodka, Chicken Marsala, and Veal Scallopini. Everyone raved about the food, and the only bad thing I can say is that there were no leftovers for me the next day. I love this spot, and if you give it a shot you will love it too!

This is for their new store in Sicklerville, NJ on Berlin Cross Keys RD. Staff was very very nice and friendly! The store was very clean and well organized. I bought fresh Gnocchi and frozen Gnocchi. I wanted to see how they tasted both ways. Also bought a thing of fresh mozzarella and a canolli. The canolli was good, smooth filing not too much choco chips. The Gnocchi were incredible! So fresh and light YUMMM!!! I saved the best for last, the Mozzarella! man this had to be some of the best I have ever had! it was creamy and smooth and soft and salty wow! I almost ate the whole pound it was so good!!!

The first thing that goes through your mind when you enter this place is «Wow this place is really very clean». You are then immediately greeted by very friendly people across the counter. I have eaten only their pepper shooters and they are very good and cheaper than most other places that sell them. But I bet the other stuff they sell is equally good.

This family-owned business(for 25 years!) showcases a cornucopia of Italian specialties, ranging from fresh mozzarella balls(always fresh and delicious) to homemade fresh raviolis(every time I am in Philadelphia, I request these) to Italian cookies, pasta sauces, etc. They also carry a wide variety of cheeses. If you are looking for a specific Italian product, you are very likely to find it here, as this is what they specialize in. Very clean store with a great selection; I highly recommend this place!
