I had a great delivery experience from Little Kitchen! I placed my order and it was delivered 45 minutes later without any problems. I ordered the sesame chicken combo. It was a tasty dish. Portion was huge. The sauce is tangy. The fried rice had a lot of veggies in it. I also ordered the fried dumplings, and they were delicious. I really liked the dipping sauce that came with them. The pork egg roll was also good. So, what’s the verdict? Is this the best Chinese food I’ve ever had? Well, no, but it is great, cheap delivery food. I look forward to ordering from them again.

After an hour wait and the rudest phone reception, we’re going to cancel this order. Bullshit. Never again.

Well, we have been waiting an hour and forty minutes for a simple sushi roll and general tso’s. When we call, they rudely say that it’s «busy» and that the driver is on the way(for 40 minutes). Also, the food was very mediocre the last time we tried them. Won’t be making this mistake again!

I would give this place no stars if possible. we ordered delivery at 8:40pm, it was supposed to be delivered by 9:30pm. I called at 10pm when it wasn’t here yet and they said it was on it’s way.(half a mile away) By 10:40pm I called when it still wasn’t here and they told me that I wasn’t the only person ordering food. If this wasn’t bad enough, when the food finally got here it was cold. I will never order from them again.

Egg rolls were swimming in oil. Literally the white bag had fryer oil seeped in a little pool at the bottom, like the oil wasn’t hot enough when they threw them in the fryer so they just sopped it up like a sponge. The General tso’s wasn’t bad but mostly just tasted like garlic and was in a bright red sauce. Hot and sour soup was solid. Probably won’t order again. China house and Dream House Asian Bistro are both much more consistent.

Food is typical for Chinese delivery. The delivery however… Estimated wait time was 45 minutes. I received my order via GrubHub after a remarkably disappointing HOURAND A HALFWAIT.

I’ve patronized this business before and the food was pretty good. Their sushi is very fresh(hopefully I didn’t get a special piece because I identify African American) and their General Tso Chicken is amazing. All that and I gave them 1 star,? Yes. Today, the weather is not to my liking so I called to have my food delivered so I didn’t have to take the 5MINDRIVE to the restaurant(Lazy of me I know). They not only lied to me and said that they didn’t deliver to my address because it was too far 14min away. I told them I had take out from their restaurant often and it was only a 4min drive away. I put their address in the google maps app on my phone it said 5min. I then said to the individual who answered the phone that I’m on Google maps now and it’s said 5min and confirmed my address with her she said«Sir, please stop calling we do not deliver to your area.» Not sure what this means but I strongly urge patrons of this business to do their research this restaurant may not be for you. Wake Up! Stop supporting business that do not welcome your kind.

Not only do they take FOREVER to get here(they are right up the street from us) But this is the second day IN A ROW that they messed up our order and forgot parts of it. The Sushi is amazing… but have herd bad things about the rest of the food. Our office will no longer be ordering from them. Menu removed!

Just ordered a large rib for for and coworker. the ribs were completely dried out and it was not barbecue sauce it was some kind of syrup. I called they restaurant and the guy refused to replace order or give me a refund saying everyone else like it like that. Totally will never order from this place again. had bad experiences with this place in the past. Should have learned my lesson. Well lesson learned.

I was really impressed by the delivery service. My food came promptly, far before Grub Hub estimated, and they threw in some free egg rolls. The sushi was very good– better than many sit-down restaurants I’ve been to. I’ll definitely be trying Little Kitchen again.

The delivery is unbelievably slow. We ordered 1 hr and 45 mins ago and the driver is still not here despite the owner’s insistence that the order is «on the way». It’s past 9pm and our exhaustion outweighs our hunger. It’s a Tuesday night so even if they really are busy like they say, they should really apologize for their tardiness or do something so that their customers are not kept waiting. We will definitely not be ordering here ever again!

They make delicious sushi! I have ordered it from them multiple times and since they have great coupons right on their grubhub order page I always wind up having leftovers! I highly recommend it! Also their seaweed salad is worth the $ 6!

Delicious food. Well prepared. Courteous service. I had mixed vegetable egg foo young. It was fried light, crisp on the edges, not greasy and chock full of fresh vegetables. On the Japanese side, I had the seaweed salad and it was terrific! Included julienned cucumber, pickled ginger and sesame seed garnish. Well pickled, not soggy. BYFAR, THE best Asian cuisine for delivery in my neighborhood. This will be my go-to from now on! Great Job!!!

Extremely slow delivery and dishonest on the phone. Stated that the driver got lost on a delivery of 2 miles away. It’s difficult to see how a 40 minute delivery delay be attributed to getting lost when we have a gps in each of our phones. Once the food arrived it was decent with a decent price however the trip it had made certainly spoiled it. There are plenty of other options in the area.

On time delivery, food in general was delish, friendly service; truly no negatives other than I’ve had more flavorful sushi from my hometown, and that’s the only reason it got a 4 star rating.

Lil weird! Walked in to place an order for take out and there were three young children at three different tables coloring, playing on a comp etc. ! Additionally, there was what appeared to be a 12 or 13 yo at the register taking orders!!! Food was decent at best. Would prob visit again IF I was unable to get Asian cuisine elsewhere

I ordered delivery over the weekend. A mix of sushi and Chinese food. The portions were certainly enough, if not plentiful. However the flavor was some of the most bland Sushi and Chinese food I have ever had. The spider roll had almost no spices to it and the tuna in my tuna roll tasted like it was out for the entire day and had its flavor sucked out. It is also slightly overpriced overall for sushi, especially for it’s location. Then the Chinese food. The egg rolls, again, were bland. Huge for sure, but I needed at least 2 duck sauce packets to get some tiny iota of flavor. I ordered the Sesame Chicken, which had authentic sesame seeds, but the flavor is just nothing in comparison to China House. My girlfriend ordered Buttered Shrimp. It was advertised«with vegetables». The only vegetable it came with was a bed of lettuce. It’s safe to say, I will pass on Little Kitchen in the future.

I used to order from Little Kitchen fairly often. I always ordered take out since the ambiance of the restaurant isn’t great and the place is usually empty. I would get the General Tso’s and various kinds of sushi. The food was actually pretty good and for a while I was a loyal customer, but the last time I ordered from them, they gave me spoiled sushi. It smelled pretty bad and I really don’t see how they could have missed that. It’s really a shame — I haven’t been back since.

Little Kitchen of Bala, is located in the Wynnefield neighborhood of Philadelphia. It is actually on the corner of 50th& City Avenue, in the middle of a commercial shopping district(ACME, Target, Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center all within a mile) and about 4 blocks from St Joseph’s University. Although Little Kitchen has a huge dining room, I tend to get take out exclusively. Little Kitchen has an extensive menu — and the official name is Little Kitchen of Bala Japanese and Asian cuisine. That is because they have a Sushi bar, Japanese dishes, Chinese, 10 Thai dishes(Pad Thai, Pad See Eiw, etc) and even Polynesian Fried Rice. Thai food — my favorite Thai dish is Pad See Eiw, and Little Kitchen does pretty well with this dish. But, my fave Thai dish here would have to be Shrimp Pad Thai. They don’t skimp on the Shrimp and there is plentiful to share with another person. The Sushi is fresh and tasty and there’s plenty of choices — I usually opt for the Tri-color Sushi(which consists of 3 Yellowtail, 3 Salmon and 3 Tuna), plus, it comes with Miso soup. All and all, Little Kitchen prepares interesting dishes, has a good selection, decent prices and a nice family-owned restaurant. PS It’s nice for me too, since it’s just across the street from my apartment. Yeah, I always wanted a bar of that sort(or coffee would be good too!) at my corner…
