I went here twice. The first time, a younger guy gave me a good, quick haircut. It wasn’t too pricey and was convenient due to the close proximity to my office. The second time, John gave me a haircut and I’ll never go back. The cut itself was only OK. But the sticking point was how he continuously made homophobic and incredibly racist remarks the entire time I was there, which were totally unprovoked, as I said nothing and there was no one else there at the time. It was incredibly off putting and uncomfortable, especially considering he was holding a razor while he was making these remarks. I don’t mind a joke but there was nothing funny about anything he said.

John has been my barber for the last 7 years. His place is one the few true barber shops left. I have cheated on John once in the last 7 years(7 year itch) but you can’t get a better haircut anywhere.

still the best… Mozart, chrome chairs, espresso… There are manicure and pedicure service also available while he cuts. White collar workers stop in regularly and get taken care of by John Romano.

Romano’s is great. John talks alot, but is pretty in touch on a lot of subjects so it’s entertaining. Great place for a shave too!
