Jeffrey D Glen, DDS

I am a new patient and have only been here twice, but thus far, I am very impressed with both Dr. Glen and his staff. I have had some questionable experiences with dentists in the past, but Dr. Glen put me at ease. He makes me feel comfortable and seems to truly care about patients, which is something I highly value in a dentist. I am so glad that I finally found a dentist that I actually enjoy visiting.

I have had a great experience going here. I previously had a horrible dentist that ruined the appearance of my tooth. So much so I would be too self conscious to smile fully. I finally decided to do something about it. My result… an amazing crown making my smile better than its ever been.
I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes. Pricing was reasonable, in my opinion cheap. Staff is very kind so perfect for those who loathe the dentist like me.

This is my first Unilocal review. I am signing up solely because I feel compelled to express how much I appreciate the professional, relaxed and comfortable experience that Dr. Glenn and his staff have to offer.
I have always have an acute fear of visits with the dentist. So much that I was on a hiatus for several years of in-​office visits. I finally made an appointment to see Dr. Glenn and I’m happy I did.
Dr. Glen and his wonderful staff make you feel comfortable and relaxed. As someone who has has always associated pain with the dentist, I can assure you, I am a changed man. I now happily make my 6 month check up and even look forward to the visit!
Highly recommend Dr. Glen, and as long as I’m living in philadelphia, I hope to have him as my dentist.

This is where the rubber hits the road! My first appointment was terrific but it was only a consult and a set of xrays. Today was the real work… a root canal and deep scaling of two quadrants. Needless to say, I walked in filled with anxiety and trepidation…
I cannot say enough about Dr. Glen and his staff. They are absolutely terrific! Dr. Glen was very gentle with everything he did starting with the shots in my mouth (like most people, I’m deathly afraid of them). He talked to me before, during and after the shots. And then, as the procedure began, he kept checking with me to make sure I was comfortable, that I was feeling okay and that I was okay to continue. I don’t know of ANYONE that has a chair-​side manner like Dr. Glen! He is absolutely fantastic!
I was in the chair for about an hour and a half for the entire process and was completely comfortable and wasn’t scared. Caitlin did the deep scaling and Sam was assisting with Dr. Glen during the procedure. Both are absolute professionals in what they do and they are a great asset to Dr. Glen.
It’s always stressful being in a dentist chair, but Dr. Glen was so reassuring and took his time and was also walking to me throughout the whole thing that I said to him at one point, having him as my dentist made me want to take the best care of my teeth possible.
I just wish that I had had Dr. Glen as my dentist starting when I was a child because a dentist like him would have made all the difference in the world about how I feel about going to the dentist. Would have probably made the same kind of difference for most people.
Dr. Glen is absolutely exceptional as a dentist and I highly recommend him without reservation!

I never made it into the office, so this review is mainly about my dealings with the front desk. First off, they could only schedule me 6 weeks from when I called. Not necessarily a bad thing, just don’t expect to get an apt quickly if you are a new patient. Second, they had an issue finding my insurance coverage even though I checked and it should have been fine. Really it seemed like the staff was too busy to look into it. My overall impression was that this office is extremely busy and probably overworked.

A very pleaant and efficient office and a Dentist with a soothing voice, and calm manner! What else could a girl want when she has 3 fillings to get? Thank you all for your professionalism and excellent work. I received a cleaning and 3 replaced fillings in a bit over an hour. For as long as I live in the Philly area Dr. Glen is my dentist.

I recently moved to Manayunk a few months ago and was pretty worried about finding a dentist. After checking out the Unilocal reviews, I decided to go to here and I am very glad I did.
Very fun and friendly service. There were very flexible and were able to work around my work schedule. They were also very professional and courteous.
I was a little nervous at first, so they set some time aside with me to discuss some of the concerns I had. They offered me several alternatives to some of the procedures to find a method that I was comfortable with. They also double-​checked with me many times to make sure I was not in pain during any of the procedures.
They were great, caring, and answered all of my questions and I will definitely go to them again!

I had my first filling with Dr. Glen today. He was really great and super fast. I also appreciate his honesty and terrific bed side manner. The staff are all really nice and helpful as well. Looking forward to my cleaning in a couple weeks!

Dr. Glen was incredibly personable during my teeth cleaning. I think he understands that people (especially myself) are somewhat nervous when it comes to the dentist.
Also, he was honest in his opinion about my wisdom teeth and had a conversation with me about it.
The appointment was swift yet thorough and the staff were nice.

Dr. Glen truly cares about his patients ! My first visit to his office was in an emergency situation (and I was waiting for the $ 2000 bill).
I got an immediate appointment, got SPECTACULAR treatment, and the bill was not as painful as I had expected.
As healthcare becomes more of a financial resposibility, it is vital to find professionals who deliver QUALITY work. That has certainly been my experience with Dr. Glen and I have referred many friends to his office!

After reading these great Unilocal reviews I reached out to schedule my first appointment with Dr. Glen. Unfortunately a last minute work emergency occurred and I had to call to reschedule my first appointment. The very friendly receptionist told me that the Dr.‘s policy does not allow for rescheduled appointments with new patients within 24 hours and I would not be able to make an appointment in the future.
Dr. Glen seems like a fantastic dentist and with close proximity to my work and home I am hoping, if he reads this, that this policy may be adjusted and I would be allowed to make an appointment in the future.

Dr. Glen is friendly and knowledgeable! His staff are also very nice and efficient. I was impressed with the state of the art computer programs and equipment that they use. On my first visit they took close up photos of my individual teeth and displayed them on the monitor mounted right above the dental chair. Wow, talk about being able to see all the tiny details! I had asked my previous dentist about the old fillings that have been in my teeth since I was about 9 years old. That dentist said they were fine and that the insurance company wouldn’t pay to replace them. With these amazing close up photos, I could clearly see that those old fillings were cracked and were separating from the tooth around the edges. Because of this evidence, Dr. Glen’s office was able to get the new replacement fillings covered by my insurance! I was scheduled for that appointment and came back in a few weeks where I received a very thorough cleaning and had 2 fillings replaced. It was painless and I was out of there in about an hour. A couple weeks later I came back to have a few more fillings replaced and was out of there in about 20 minutes!
Thus far, this would be the makings of a 5 star review. However, I am more concerned about the quality of the work done rather than the haste in which it was performed. At each of my appointments, I let them know that I had taken the rest of the day off of work. I was in no hurry to be anywhere.
Both the doctor and his assistant boasted about their speed as I once again reminded them that I was in no hurry, they didn’t have to rush. The work on my final fillings was completed as I was sent home with a numb face. When I regained feeling, my tongue quickly began obsessing over a rough spot, it felt as if the filling hadn’t been filled enough. I could feel the edge of the tooth raised around the filling. I called them about this and was scheduled to come in after the weekend.
I expected him to fill it in with just a little bit more of the amalgam. I opened my mouth for him to inspect and without warning he began sanding away at my tooth! Now I have a significant concave shape on the edge of my tooth that is FAR WORSE than my prior complaint and now I have to live with it for the rest of my life!!! I hope that I can get used to the way it feels and that the extra enamel which was sanded away doesn’t expose me to future decay!

Dr. Glen and his staff are first rate! I have never waited more than two minutes for an appointment which says a lot of about the efficiency of his team. The attention I get is personalized and friendly. I have no complaints. I am somewhat of a low-​maintenance patient, with no cavities — cleaning & check-​ups only, but the ease I feel at Dr. Glen’s office makes me certain that I am in good hands if I ever need additional care.

I don’t even know where to begin. From the completely non-​traumatic dental cleaning by Kristen, to the efficiency of the desk staff, and the genuine honesty of Dr. Glen I have never been anything less than in awe of how great they treat me!
They are more than willing to help out with any issues that come up. For example, I had a couple temporary teeth put in while waiting for veneers to be finished. On the 2^nd night after having them put in one popped out. This was on a Saturday night, the day before Fathers Day. Dr. Glen had given me his cell phone number JUST IN CASE this were to happen. He met me in the office on Fathers Day. Absolutely incredible!
I’ve found my dentist and dental care professionals for life!
