Genie Hookah Cafe

First time here but a sweet joint. When I’m back in the area I’ll definitely be visiting again! Loved the flavors, the staff and couldn’t have asked for more. Been hitting up a few hookah bars and this is the best one I’ve found yet in this area! Clean, great atmosphere and a right place to hang with friends.

The pineapple bowl and melon tobacco was delicious and the server was very attentive in making sure our coals were still brining.

Genie Hookah — I have gone to many of the hookah spots all around philly. Out of much thought and consideration I have concluded that the spot that will best serve anyone needs has to be Genie Hookah lounge in Northern Liberties. The reason being is that this spot possess the ambiance, quality of service, affordability, quality of product, and the owners are super cool. They prices are extremely reasonable and it’s a nice place to relax, chill, and still have fun. There is a crowd that comes in this place that have nothing but positive vibes which creates an atmosphere for all to chill, do work, watch the games, play games, and still enjoy a smooth cloudy smoke. The close attention to my smoking experience is what keeps me coming time and time again. If you are in the market for a relaxed smoking experience, then look no further.

First time I came here they were playing music on what sounded like computer speakers or low end speakers with horrible bass. Our server clearly did not want to be there, came off as someone who was helping out the owner or knew the owner. She LAID DOWN on the couch IN FRONT OF US for the duration of her shift and scrolled through her phone. Someone else ended up serving us. A party of five was playing NBA 2K.
Walking to the bathroom is a little grimy.
The second time we visited, they had fixed the speaker situation. Soundtrack: Drake, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa. You get the point.
We were told they didn’t have water and they wouldn’t serve us tap water. We watched the same employee who denied us water walk in five minutes later with a case of water, put 3 – 4 in the fridge, then serve a room temp bottle to himself and his friends who were playing NBA 2K and smoking hookah. They never offered us water.
Subpar coffee. Sugar was served on the side and not brewed in with the coffee.
The shisha here is quite excellent, that’s the only reason this review gets two stars.

Best hookah in the area! A ton of different flavors that you can mix and they also have fresh fruit bowls! This place is BYOB, always has good music playing and has great customer service. Be sure to try the food and drinks, especially the mint tea!
