Fishtown Pharmacy

I’ve reviewed the pharmacy before, when it first opened, but wanted to write more… I’ve been a loyal customer since the pharmacy opened and can say it’s only gotten better. Recently, after a very drawn-​out pet illness and back-​and-​forth with the vet over medicine, Fishtown Pharmacy told me they could not only compound the pills the vet prescribed for our cat, but that the liquid costs about half as much and can be made tuna flavored. We have to give our cat this medicine twice a day, and if anyone’s been in that boat, you know it’s miserable. But she loves her tuna flavored meds and we can walk around the corner to get them instead of driving to the vet or specialty pharmacy. Love this place!

I don’t typically write reviews, but here goes:
I recently switched over to Fishtown Pharmacy after several months of consistently bad experiences at a nearby CVS (2400 Aramingo Ave!). In the short period I have dealt with Kris, he has been very helpful, professional, and gone above and beyond what i would expect of a pharmacist. I initially had my concerns about moving to a local pharmacy with limited hours, but Fishtown Pharmacy delivers on customer service, which is rare these days among the large retail chain pharmacies.

Chris, the owner of this pharmacy used to work at Shop Rite and I was a customer of his for years. When he left, I continued using Shop Rite for a while, but it seemed every time I went to Shoprite’s pharmacy, I got a different pharmacist or pharmacy tech that I didn’t know and who couldn’t tell one customer from another.
The only reason I didn’t go straight to Fishtown when Chris first opened, is because I liked the convenience of picking up meds at the supermarket, but Chris had that covered. Not only does Fishtown Pharmacy deliver, but every time I’ve gone there in person to get prescriptions filled, I’ve never waited more than five minutes.
When I have to pay for a script out of pocket, Chris always gives the best prices, and he’ll go out of his way to track down your doctor to get refills, or to double check with a doctor who has written a script that may react with other meds. He’s also waited for me when I got stuck in traffic and he was due to close. You don’t get that kind of customer service from big chain pharmacies.
His staff are as friendly as he is and they all greet you with a smile and call you by name. I’ve got no plans to ever go to another pharmacy, especially the big ones, like Rite Aid and CVS, where you need to take a Rosetta Stone course to understand whatever language the pharmacist is speaking, and you’ve got the time to finish the Rosetta Stone course while your waiting. Last time I got something filled at a Rite Aid, they told me to come back in five hours to pick it up.

Excellent compounding pharmacy with phenomenal customer service. The owner spent a great deal of time coming up with the right formula to cover up a bad tasting medicine for my infant daughter — obviously doing a lot of research and trial and error until he found the right combination. Will be bringing all my pharmacy needs here from now on!

These guys and gals are top notch! I came from another small pharmacy in my old neighborhood (Ellis Pharmacy near Fairmount) and was worried I’d lose the charm of knowing the people there (and vice versa). From my first phone call they’ve all been absolutely wonderful. I have yet to either make a call or walk in-​store and leave without at least a couple chuckles and well wishes exchanged. Do yourselves and this great gang a favor and start picking up from Fishtown Pharmacy!

This place is amazing and really close to my apartment. The hours are a little short but I can totally get over that based on the great service. I love that my pharmacist knows me when I walk in and is super friendly and helpful. Beats the big name pharmacies any day.

I cannot say enough good things about Fishtown Pharmacy! The owner, Kris, is incredibly friendly and helpful. He handled all of the annoying details of switching my prescriptions over from my previous pharmacy. And he always goes above and beyond to find discounts for me. My latest prescription should have cost $ 75, but he got the price down to $ 10 by enrolling me in a discount program. I didn’t have to do a thing! You will not find this kind of service at big-​name pharmacies. Oh, and they deliver, too! I love the neighborhood feel and the top-​notch customer service. A fantastic addition to Fishtown!

Fishtown Pharmacy is a wonderful addition to Frankford Ave! The owners are super friendly and accommodating. Their service is great, my prescriptions are usually ready right away, and they deliver! They also have a great assortment of vitamins.

Such a wonderful place! Every time I walk over they somehow have my prescription ready to go. I don’t call ahead or even plan it and it’s just sitting there waiting for me. Also the staff is incredibly sweet and welcoming.

Literally the nicest most accommodating crew in the biz. The pharmacist got me eye drops to put in my ear (same medicine) for a 90% savings. Friendly, kind, and sweet. Unexpected in such a rough part of the city.

Awesome Pharmacy with even better service. Very friendly staff that takes pride in knowing their customers on a first name basis.
I have picked up two orders from them and both of them were ready within minutes. If you’re looking for a local Pharmacy with a true neighborhood feel, this is your place.

Great Pharmacy with excellent service. Going here is way better than waiting in line at CVS. They did a special order for me and had it there the next day.

Super nice pharmacist. He took extra time to make sure I fully understood l the importance of using sunscreen with my meds. The service was fast way more affordable than CVS.

Recommend it. Happy to have the choice of using my local pharmacy that wants to sell only medications… not cigarettes!
