History

Established in 1899.

Philadelphia’s Oldest Italian restaurant. Italian Immigrents would arrive at the docks, unable to speak english, with the name of the restaurant pinned to their lapels. They would then be brought to the restaurant to live on the upper floors, which was then a boarding house, and work in the Italian Market district or in the restaurant itself. Today 111 yrs, later, the Philadelphia landmerk continues to serve only the most authentic and homemade dishes. The tradition continues.
