CVS/pharmacy

This has got to be the most poppin CVS in America. I came in on a Wednesday at 2:30 PM and it was a mob scene. I couldnt believe how many people were in CVS on a weekday afternoon!
The lines were so long and the cashiers were frazzled. I used self-​checkout but still had to wait a long time before even getting there.
In a pinch, its okay if you have the patience. If you need to stock up, go somewhere else.

Super convenient location near Jefferson Station with pretty much anything I need. I used their passport picture service. The photo department manager was cordial and professional.
It’s a messy location because it’s pretty much always busy but the lines move relatively quickly and there are helpful employees around the self check-​out lanes.
I’ve used the pharmacy services and I prefer the smaller store on Walnut for that purpose. It’s not far from here and you get much better, personalized attention as far as medications are concerned.

This CVS is as efficient and reliable as any RiteAid, Walgreens around the area. With the amount of people they have to deal with all day around Market East, the staff deserve a medal. Despite what I imagine is a thankless job, I’ve been helloed and greeted with a smile every time I go in there. It’s convenient and serves its purpose and has supplied me with many last minute items when needed.

This place is a perpetual mess. Goto Walgreen’s on 11^th and locust instead.
The store hasn’t been updated for years, it is unorganized and cluttered, the staff are totally indifferent and you can see how much they hate going to work by just looking at their faces.
The one thing it has going for it is that it sells stamps, something that Walgreen’s doesn’t sell. Coming here is still faster than the inefficient USPS on Market street

Crazy place. It’s amazing how busy this place is and how slow things seem to move. The layout of the store and availability of items is on par with other CVS’. The store seemed old and uninviting, but I got what I needed and got out.

Huge CVS pharmacy right in the heart of Old City… or what I believe to still be Old City. Anyways, like most other CVS’s but I’d say in a rather convenient location. 3 stars for the oldish poorly laid out inside, but they have everything you’d be looking for at a CVS including your pharmacy, OTC’s, candy and misc bathroom necessities. Parking is hard to find around here, so it’s better that you walked to this one.

Huge location with great selections of beauty products. They always have great sales going so check out the circular before you go. Because it’s located on Market Street, you do get some unfriendly customers, but the staff is usually pretty friendly and move the long lines quickly.

I think it’s really nice for CVS to hire slower workers but really, would it kill pharmacy schools to add in a course on customer service for when you have to interact with the public as a pill counter at a national chain pharmacy? Just a thought.

Go to any other cvs rather than come here.
This place is a zoo: rude/​annoying customers. I actually saw a lady drop her babies bottle on the ground then pick it up and put it in the babies mouth– classy.
Also unfriendly staff with a bad attitude and many items are mislabeled or not priced properly.
I normally am cool with 95% of the CVS stores I have been to but this
place is dirty and smells like Cheetos and old pepperoni pizza. Stay away!

Seriously does everything in downtown Philadelphia close at 9 p.m. or earlier on a weekday? Gawd I’m so used to things being open to atleast 10 p.m., or even midnight, or even 24 hours. Anyways I showed back up in the morning after 9 as I needed a few things and the hotel was smoking that stuff with the prices they were trying to get me with for the stuff I wanted.
Everything I wanted was in the wrong spot, meaning the it was the wrong price. Hell everything I wanted had NO price to be found. .. I had to ask the girl with the price gun to scan stuff for me because I knew it wasn’t $ 5.49 for a 48 ct Nyquil/​DayQuil combo. .. . of course, it is $ 14.99. .. end up going to the register with 2 16 cts of Day Quil/​Ny Quil. .. OMG, these aren’t $ 5.49 either? Nope $ 7.49. .. wtf? There is no $ 7.49 price tag anywhere, just like there is no $ 14.99 price tag. They must don’t know, I am cheap as f**k. .. I ain’t paying that kinda bread for something I gets at Walmart for under 10 dollaz. So now I gotta be holding up the line as dude on the register walks back instead of calling somebody else to look. .. he can’t find the price tag either but he can say «No that is for the CVS brand». .. «so where is the price tag». .. «I don’t know, but that is for the CVS brand». .. . no shit. .. BUDDY.
Ended up gettin da 48 ct for the $ 14.99, only cause the hotel had a 12 ct for 12 dollars. That is the only reason this place gets a 2^nd star. .. it is close to the Loews and much cheaper than the Loews, but if you can, try the RiteAid or the Walgreens near by, don’t know if they are any better but it can’t get much worse than this CVS.

This is the first time in my life that I have had to do a chain pharmacy, rather than a mom & pop operation. For a big anonymous place, the pharmacy system is not worse than I have encountered at independent places. The young man with the long hair who works there is pretty sharp and has dealt with snags in my prescriptions. And I remember one time, they bent procedure and changed a prescription for an eczema cream so that my insurance would cover it.
I’m annoyed that the pharmacy doesn’t have longer hours though. It’s not open before 9 am. I don’t know when the pharmacy closes because I don’t want to deal with the after work lines.
The self-​checkout is handy, but it’s frustrating when they keep yelling for the line to use them. I’m in line because I can’t use self-​checkout because I’m buying things behind the counter.

The five star review is solely based on the awesome service from the Pharmacy staff!
I travel a ton for work, so it can get a bit tricky trying to get my prescriptions filled. And of course, I was running around the Northeast and really needed to fill a prescription. I was in NY this morning, and tried to fill it at the CVS next to my hotel. After about 20 minutes of being on the phone with them… no dice. They couldn’t do it. Sure, it was due mostly to state regulations, but it was just wicked inconvenient, and I was getting nervous since I really needed my prescription!
So… I called this CVS. I was coming into town later in the afternoon, so decided to play my luck. And, YES! Done and done. Serious. Like… 5 minutes on the phone? And they gave me a follow up call to let me know it was ready to be picked up like 10 minutes later? AWESOME. That’s really all I need from a pharmacy. Amazing personalized service. Thank you CVS!

A big CVS on the corner. While they seemingly stock a little bit of everything, it seems, they have a wide selection of certain items like 60 different kinds of band-​aids, but they lack other things, like a vegetable peeler. Not sure why.
They are not a 24-​hour store. The self checkout is definitely useful.

I am a fan of CVS in general, but this CVS is lacking a lot of things, for a relatively big store. For example, i was looking for an ear irrigation kit. NOT HERE. They also don’t have the selection of cleaning supplies that other CVS stores have. I will continue to go here to get my Rx filled because it’s closest to my house, but if I need to get random stuff I’m going to the 24 hour one at 19^th and Chestnut

Annoying/​loud/​rude customers. Rude/​lackadaisical staff. The store is a mess most of the time, self-​checkout kiosks are constantly broken so you really don’t have a choice but to go up to one of their employees.
I’m pretty thick skinned but damn, I’d rather go to Walgreens on the other side of Jefferson.
