Craig Shapiro, DC

Let me start by saying that I am a chiropractor and I can differentiate a great chiropractor from an average one. Dr. Shapiro is a great chiropractor. I went to go see Dr. Shapiro because he utilizes a technique that I’m interested in learning and asked him to adjust me so I can see how it is for myself.
After speaking with him and observing how approaches patient care I was really impressed. His adjustment also blew me away. I was amazed at how great I began to feel even before getting off the table. It’s definitely something that I will look into in the very near future.
I’ll give the short version:
–He’s a great adjuster
–He’s extremely well versed in a variety of techniques
–He works harder than most to understand the frame of reference the patient is coming
from. He truly understands his patients and how their conditions effect their lives.

I have had chiropractic care basically my whole life but as of today, I hadn’t been to a chiropractor in a couple if years. I recently moved into the city, and woke up with neck pain a few days ago. I thought maybe it was time to find a chiropractor where I lived. I went on Unilocal and read reviews and based on how close doctor Shapiro is to my house and his wonderful reviews, I gave him a call. He got back to me the same day and we scheduled an appointment for a consultation. His office is located inside of fitness works, so it wasn’t hard to find. I had a great experience.
Doctor Shapiro was so thorough and professional. He asked me questions about my previous care, what accidents I had been in or injuries that I had, and addressed my problem areas which caused me pain or discomfort. After assessing my posture and movement, I had a very comfortable adjustment. He explained everything that he was doing and why he was doing it and made me feel at ease. After the adjustment, I laid on a heated water bed that had jets to help my back have better circulation. One of the greatest pieces if equipment I have ever encountered. It’s like taking a jacuzzi, but you get to keep all of your clothes on and you don’t get wet.
I have already made a second appointment with doctor Shapiro. I highly recommend him.

I’ve been going to Dr. Shapiro for a few months now for neck pain, and he is great. He takes his time in evaluating and assessing you, and he listens to all of your concerns during each appointment. Best of all, my neck has gotten so much better since I started going to him! He is knowledgable and holistic in his approach and he explains what he is doing and why. My appointment never feels rushed and he never tries to push products onto me, as other chiropractors do. I have been to two other chiropractors in recent years and I would definitely recommend Dr. Shapiro to anyone looking for a chiropractor.

Found Dr. Shapiro after moving into the neighborhood and needing some continued care for my back problem, and I’m so glad I found him! I’ve been to a few chiropractors and he is by far the most gentle, and he uses several other modalities other than just cracking your spine (which I think is way less traumatic to the body, and helps the corrections stick). Since going to him my back spasms have been way less frequent. Would definitely recommend!

Doctor Shapiro is a very good chiropractor who is so informative and truly cares. I would definitely refer my friends and family to him!

I decided to try Dr. Shapiro because he was in my neighborhood and I was in desperate need of a chiropractor. I am so glad I found him! I have been going for over a year and I have never felt as great. He listens when you tell him about a problem area and when you leave his office you feel like a brand new person. He is also very flexible in scheduling. I have been to other chiropractors and they do not even compare. Highly recommend!

I was a bit skeptical about chiropractic care, and I still am about some of it, but Dr. Shapiro was able to take care of my back problems, and surprisingly enough, my headaches as well. He took an extensive history and did a comprehensive exam. He spent an hour with me the first time that I went. He was willing to accomodate my fears of crazy cracking, and came up with other approaches to the problem. He was flexible about scheduling, and did not try to get me to keep coming back when it became unnecessary. All in all, a very good experience. Next time I hurt my back/​neck, I would immediately go to him.

Dr. Shapiro ROCKS! Not only is he a great chiropractor, but he’s a great guy.
He is very through and takes the time to really understand what your issues are BEFORE he starts cracking away at your bones.
He is a constant learner, so he is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to various pain relieving techniques; Eastern, Western and the like.
I have really appreciated his advice and his treatment and I would highly recommend him to anyone who has visited chiropractors and run screaming from their offices. Dr. Shapiro will have you totally at ease and will always make sure you are comfortable with whatever he is doing. I have this crazy fear of neck cracking, so he always leaves my neck alone.
Even if you don’t have insurance, he’ll work with you. He’s a fair and honest guy. And he’s a lot less «crack happy» than the other chiropractors I’ve visited. He genuinely cares about making you feel better! Permanently!
