I am a local small business owner, and I first hired Coren in the spring of 2012 to defend me in a case with a vendor. It was a very stressful situation and once meeting with him, I felt I definitely made the right decision. Due to the nature of my business, there was a lot involved, and he took the time to understand all the details and planned a direct and factual defense. We won the case. I since have utilized his services and legal counsel in several situations since, and I know I wouldn’t have gotten the favorable outcomes I did without his help. We had a terrific experience with Coren Wise’s services. We needed help to have a zoning variance approved. He spoke on our behalf at our neighborhood hearing, presenting a thorough overview of each of the proposed changes we wanted to make to our home. He filed all the necessary documents and paperwork with our local board, as well as with the various entities downtown. At the zoning board hearing, he represented us with the architectural plans and a report that, again, detailed the changes we were requesting. We were quickly approved. He is professional with an easy-​going personality; and he has a great rapport with the other lawyers and government workers. It was a pleasure to work with him. Highly recommended!

Although prepared and professional, Coren J. Wise was unable to successfully win my appeal for a zoning variance. He seemed confused and surprised when we lost our appeal. Admittedly, I did not do my due diligence before hiring Coren. I should have recognized the limitations of his experience when he was not able to recommend the proper variance for my business after our first meeting and consultation where I described our situation and provided a tour of our operations.
