Citizens Bank Park

Fun park for an outing both with friends or family. Though the team is not so bueno these days, it’s still fun. Beer is bad and too expensive. Food is good but still expensive.

Nothing like writing a baseball park review weeks after the season ends: chuckles: whatever, Citizens Bank Park deserves some post season lovin’.
Fact: I am not a Phillie’s fan. But that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a nice ballpark when I see one. CBP is convenient to get to from city center, has a ton of parking, clean, easy to navigate, and I don’t think there’s a bad seat in the place. And the view of downtown Philly over the outfield wall, while small, is pretty spectacular.
Oh and the bell in the outfield that lights up and dings after each home run is totally kitchy but I loved it.

NO WATER FOUNTAINS?! HOW IS THAT LEGAL? I’m forced to buy drinks?! At least you can bring in a few snacks. I am quite outraged at the lack of WATER from the tap that the city provides!
Otherwise, I am quite satisfied with this stadium. Seating is great and well organized aisles, so easy to find your seat. The aisles are large enough for the volume of people going up and down and around. The view is not bad wherever you end up sitting. Also, it’s clean!

So this is the 22^nd ballpark I have visited in the MLB and I really have to say this one this one is up there as a fun one. There is so much space in the concourse it is unbelievable. I love the standing room area under the concourse where you can just eat what you got and not. miss the game. There’s a bunch of game stuffs in the right center field. area, I’m presuming for children as it involved stomping on some DDR like. machine and there was some trivia thing too. There’s all sorts of restaurants in the bleachers area and lots of souvenir shops. The ushers and staff were very pleasant and friendly and.helpful. I also must say the Philly fans are great. bless their hearts, their team is the worst team in MLB this year and the fans were still out there in the rain cheering on their Phillies. Oh yeah, and the liberty bell thing lights up and rings if they hit a home run or win which was cool, but kind of not cool. since they beat my.cubs. haha. Oh yeah. they also have these phone charger things in left field but all of the chargers were broken ! What is wrong with some of you people who don’t know how to insert a charging device into your phone gently !!! Oh yeah, and one more thing., the reason it’s not five stars is because Of that blasted «get loud «nonsense that flashes on the screens every time there are two strikes. Seriously, Philly, you should know when to get loud without a video board telling you. Shame on you all.

If I lived in Philadelphia I would feel right at home here at this ballpark. I didn’t expect much from this park but it exceeded all expectations. We attended two games vs the Dodgers and one game sat in right field and the other in the upper deck behind the third base side. Excellent views from both areas. I expect more hostility from the Philly fans but they were calm. The park has a lot of food choices, which seem like it’s from local vendors. The ballpark has an intimate feel to it which is great. Never felt far from the action. Philly Phanatic was great! Wish he would have thrown hot dogs or a shirt our way. The only negative here was the parking. It’s a massive lot with plenty of gates but only one was open at the end of the game.

I’m a huge Phillies fan, so of course I love coming here. It’s always clean and the people that work there are always friendly. I rarely buy concessions since they let you bring food and drinks in, which is a HUGE plus and money saver. There is one stand there that sells healthier options (as in not fried), and it’s actually pretty good. If you buy the reusable cup at the concession stand, you can get a free refill on it (if you’re lucky, you’ll get someone who let you refill it as many times as you want). Every spot is a good spot, even if you’re up in the bleeds.

Not one of the nicest parks on the East Coast, but it’s still good! Can’t compete with Fenway, Yankee stadium or Camden yards but a good fan experience and very easy parking and entrance/​exit is accommodating.
Nice staff! Not too many food options compared to other big league parks though.

Great day at the park watching my dodgers play. CBP is always very hospitable even to fans of the opposing team like me. Food and drink is very good at a decent price for ballparks.
And most importantly the team puts on a good show and the sidelines are terrific

My cousin, her husband, and I all attended a Phillies game recently. I had never been to Citizens Bank Park before, but it was a pretty enjoyable experience, even if it wasn’t exactly everything in the way I anticipated.
Game day was beautiful, and we arrived a bit before 5pm for a 7:05pm game. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize we could have entered in the Suite entrance (we had tickets for Diamond Club seating, but the entrances for the suites and such didn’t specify they were also applicable to the Diamond Club seating area), so we waited at the main gate for everything to open up.
The night we happened to attend was also Alumni Night, where various players were supposed to be seated around the stadium to sign for autographs. Unfortunately, there weren’t that many players that ended up visible around the stadium… and the one my cousin’s husband was looking for, Mike Schmidt, wasn’t out to sign anything. A bit of a bummer, for sure, since the communications I had been getting from the Phillies leading up to that night really hyped up the Phillies Alumni being accessible.
As far as the Diamond Club experience here, it was different from what I had experienced in the same type of seating previously. For example, at Safeco Field? All food and drinks costs were covered… so you weren’t charged for your buffet meal, any drinks from the bar before the game, OR any of your food or drink that was delivered to your seat. At the Citizens Bank Park Diamond Club, you had to pay for all of those things… which definitely took me a bit by surprise. I suppose if you had credit on your ticket then it’s less of an issue, but we were in Row 16 and didn’t have any purchasing credit. Still, that was never an issue when I was previously at Safeco.
The only other issue in the CBP Diamond Club was that I got up at one point to catch the employee waiting on our section (E), and I ordered a beer for each of the three of us and an order of popcorn for my cousin. The beer order came out not long after, but the popcorn never did. I ended up having to catch the same server again and re-​order, since he hadn’t noted that part of our order the first time. The popcorn came out a couple minutes later.
Besides all the randomness though, the game was still a fun experience… and I really enjoyed watching the Phanatic, humorously enough (because c’mon, few things are funnier than watching Pat Burrell ride around with the Phanatic while they shoot hot dogs at various seating areas from a motorized hot dog canon).
TL;DR Fun game — and the Phillies won! The park is enjoyable, even if the Diamond Club experience (and Alumni Night itself) leaves a bit to be desired.

I have been to quite a few stadiums and seen the worst (Baggydome and The Trop) and some of the best too. (Wrigley, Marlins Park, Rangers Stadium, etc)
This was a really nice surprise and we were there for two games over the weekend. One in a great party suite down left field line and then in section 132 along left field, third base line.
ONLY negative is the restrooms and I have the same complaint as I do with the airport. Philly has THE nastiest restrooms ever in these two places.
The layout is great, above average concessions (Are you listening Rays), suite food was awesome and aside from one lady who seemed to be having a bad night the service was top notch. (She may have been deaf but I doubt it. ;0))
I had the fried chicken and donuts from the left field area and there are some great beer choices and enough variety all around for choosing some eats.
Jumbo board is in an odd spot with a foul pole blocking it from our seats and cannot be seen from party suite we were in but it is still nice.
Would not hesitate to come back or to recommend to others for an enjoyable evening at the ballpark. Five stars? When the Phillies start winning and the bathrooms are policed better.
(Oh yeah, dudes, wash your hands after peeing in the urinals, all of Philly including your girlfriends will thank you.)

Baseball and cheesesteaks on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
Voted «Best Ballpark Eats» by the Food Network several years back. Believe me you won’t be disappointed with anything you have here.
A friend and I arrived early today and hung out in Ashburn Alley behind the Wrigley-​like batter’s eye. He swore that we had to start with Chickie’s and Pete’s Crab Fries which are covered with Old Bay seasoning. He was right. These fries go back to the Vet.
Since we had the time I went to check out Memory Lane. It is quite impressive with black and white photos of the Phillies, A’s and Negro League baseball dating back to 1883. I believe this covers 5 or 6 different ballparks stopping in 2003 when this ballpark opened the next season.
About 4 innings later we braved the lines for cheesesteaks. In order to get a good sampling, my friend and I split up. I waited online at Campo’s for a steak with provolone. While my friend went to Tony Lukes and got the Cheese Whiz.
Which one was better? I’ll never tell. Come to the park and decide for yourselves.
Oh yeah the game. We left after 8 ½ to avoid traffic. It went into extra innings with the Phillies beating Tampa 5 to 4 in 10 innings.

Great ballpark with pretty decent ballpark food (vegan options).
As rough a reputation as Philly the city has, the times I went to the ballpark here always resulted in a pleasant experience. It is also easy to get to the stadium from the city — subway takes you straight there.

Nice ballpark! Great views from everywhere. Scoreboards were high quality. Pretty clean too, all things considered. I really enjoyed my visit.
Another sports venue checked off my list!

Great ballpark, easily one of my top 10 favorites. I’ve now been to two games at this stadium, and realized I need to write a review. It starts with how convenient and efficient they located their sports complexes all accessible from public transit. The subway drops you off within a short stroll to the ballpark. Along the walk you will note the Eagles (NFL) stadium and the Flyers (NHL)/76ers (NBA) arena are across the street with shared parking facilities. Did you know that people tailgate before baseball games? Well, Phillies fans do, and they do it before each game.
The stadium entrance has a great photo opp with a statue of Mike Schmidt. As for the stadium, it is a modern ballpark with great views from all locations. And a great promenade in the outfield with loads of food/​drink options. You can see a unique stacking of the bullpens in right field which is pretty cool to watch the game from above. There is an upper deck above the promenade which gives you a birds eye view of the game, and even a phone charging station/​table. The food in the outfield has long lines for famous Crabby Fries from Chickie and Petes and Tony Luke’s famous Philly cheesesteaks. The cheesesteak was quite good (be sure to eat while hot as it gets chewy). There are other food options to select from other than the standard nachos and hot dogs, and something to please all in your party.
The stadium does a great job in offering different craft beers at many of the serving locations. As I walked around the park, I kept noticing they poured different drafts at each location. This was quite impressive.

This is a really nice stadium for a visit. It is really easy to get to from downtown on public transportation. I was also surprised the transportation and game were not very crowded on a Friday night. While, probably not great for the team, it made the visit very pleasant.
The tickets were very reasonably priced, Beer and food selection were very solid. We sat up in the bleachers and it was a good vibe and nice areas to stand and walk around. It was also a very clean and well kept stadium.

Beautiful park. Came here on $ 1 hot dog night so I knew this was gonna be a great night. Although I didn’t stay too long because of the crazy rain, I could tell how nice this stadium was. Lot of food places to eat like chickie and Petes which is awesome and then the beers and hot dogs, you can’t go wrong. Hopefully I have another chance to watch a game this summer

I was here for a Sunday afternoon game.
I love the layout of the park; it is easy to navigate and everything is here it should be. Not one did any section feel mobbed. The staff was also very friendly.
Prices are a bit higher than other ballparks (not New York though). If you are hungry, you have to get the ice cream and wash it down with Victory Hop Devil!

Citizen’s Bank is a pretty beautiful ball park. Big, but not too big like the old Vet. Great sight lines and pretty good food options. It’s a bit more of a family friendly atmosphere as compared to the Linc across the street.
My one gripe is that they only have crab fries in one spot on the lower level. There is no reason they couldn’t have these in more of the concessions stands.
Anyway, it’s too bad the Phillies stink these days or I’d probably go more often.

A great ballpark! There’s never a bad view, no matter how high up your seats are. The best stadium food ever (except the beers are a little pricey).
Always a fun time, even when the Phillies are playing horribly. The Phanatic really makes the game. It’s always entertaining! A definite must go for spring/​summer fun!

I miss baseball. Sigh.
If you can get over the fact that the Phillies are trash. Yeah, I’m trash talking. This is a GORGEOUS ball park not too far from imaginary Central New Jersey. You should come here to watch a respectable ball club, like the Nats, bear down on the Phillies.
Anyways, the park is one of the smaller fields in MLB which is great to watch HARPER crush dingers out of. It’s also a great to walk laps around and explore. Security is friendly and is more than willing to let you peak… TAKE NOTE YANKEES!
Food options are outstanding. And if you’re going to be paying an arm and a leg for food there better be choices. Hello Chickie and Peets! And there is a formidable beer selection to choose from, although, Cleveland has the best.
Watching the sunset is kind of awesome. It reflects off the scoreboard.
I had never seen an «I HIT YOU, YOU HIT THE FLOOR» fight until I wandered into McFaddens inside this park. But it’s McFaddens so I can’t really have any expectations.
The mascot is terrifying. Avoid at all costs. AVOID.
I like to sit in center field. I can watch my imaginary boyfriend best from there. Love you Bryce. See you soon. xoxo
