Car Pretty Window Tinting

They DID excellent work but the quality has gone down over the years the owner is NOT a nice guy. He is very rude, talks to you like you’re an idiot. Had issues with bubbles in the tint and he flipped out on me about the work. The corners of the tint were peeling within days of it being done and his response was to be ignorant and pissed off at me for returning. Lifetime warranty?! Yeah that’s a joke. Prices always change from over the phone and when you actually get there. He has no idea how to run a business or how to be professional. I have had 6 cars tinted by them over the years and I’m looking to tint my new jeep, but it’s NOT worth going to them and dealing with the asinine owner and his less then mediocre work. I wouldn’t let them touch my car if they did it for free. Hear many good things about Shades of Gray tinting so going to try those guys out. Car Pretty has to be one of the worst in customer service and honoring their work. Good luck if you decide to go with them!

Been coming to Steve for 12 years now. Every vehicle I own gets tinted by Steve and his crew, POVs and work!
Steve and his crew are flawless! No gimmicks, no tricks, no ‘hawkin’ for other business. Plain ol’ window film professionals! You can ask Steve about other stuff, alarms, car add-​ons, etc., however, window tint is consistently the best at Car Pretty!
If you mistakenly find yourself at another location that ‘does tint’…LEAVE and find Car Pretty!!!
«Imitation is the best form of flattery» however, if you go ANYWHERE else, it will be at YOUR expense!

Flawless work! Car looks great! Had an appointment for 9AM for my ’15 Golf R, Steve called me up and said they had a cancellation and that I could come over earlier if I’d like. Pulled right in the bay as soon as I showed up and my car was done in about 40 minutes! Very neat job no mess inside and was surprised to see my 40 Years of Golf decal saved from my inside back window! Highly recommended!

I had my previous car done at this shop 5 years ago and it was ok. So I figure I would come back again for my new car. When I first came in the owner looked at me like I was not welcomed there. As I sat there and kept watching, other customers were treated at the same manner. Ok sure, maybe it was just me being paranoid. Now comes to the quality of the work. They did it fairly quick (for my car), when I drove my car out of the garage, I noticed a gap about 1 cm wide on the a pillar window (the small fixed window). I immediate went back and confronted the guy. He told me that there was nothing he can do because the machine cuts it like that. He also said that all the edges of my windows have the same gap because he could not tuck it under the rubber weather strips. I knew he was bs but then I was like oh ok and left. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, plus I had had a long day. when I was 4 blocks away, I then noticed a crease on the driver side window which I had to use my credit to flatten it out… I was very disappointed. So I decide to drive straight to the guy I know in South Philly (ghetto) which I didn’t really want to go in the first place. But guess what? he fixed my 2 small windows for 20 bucks, and I love it. The tint on UR windows will last the life time and very costly (costed me 200 bucks), so pls pick UR shop wisely. Obviously not this one!!!

Made an appointment to have two front windows on Jeep Grand Cherokee tinted. Car was in and out in no time and the tint was matched perfectly to the back windows. Noticed a few small bubbles on the bottom of passenger window. Not a huge deal but being a perfectionist I wanted them taken care of. Called Car Pretty and they told me to bring the car back and they would take care of the problem. The owner took care of the bubbles himself and was extremely helpful. Customer service was great and I will be taking my wife’s Ford Edge to Car Pretty to have the tint put on.

Awesome shop. I’ve done around 4 – 5 cars with them over the years. Quick install, always looks perfect, and guaranteed if there is ever anything wrong. On my last visit, they took GREAT care of my GTR — love the end product, as always. I would never take a car anywhere else for tinting.

Had my scion tc tinted here a bit ago. High quality tint and most professional service I have dealt with yet in the Philadelphia area. No complaints.

the shadiest «owner» that i’ve met in my life., the edges of the tint was hanging off the edge and crooked like no other (ive had 5 – 6 tints done on my cars before elsewhere) when took it back, he said, «are you NUTS? you complaining about this?»
wow… I was lost for words when I was treated like this after having them put up the tint… a big mistake. I must be NUTS, because I am complaining about strip hanging off the edge and the misaligned cut that they did?
never ever in my life will go back. People asked me if I did the tint myself after looking at it… embarrasing

I used to bring my car to my regular tint guy in South Philly, but since I was always working, I decided to bring it to car pretty since it was like walking distance from work, my car was done pretty quickly, when I picked it up I was charged an extra $ 10 for my rear window for a vinyl sticker, I was like ok whatever and then on my drivers side window there was like a piece of dirt inside the window, like… seriously? You couldn’t clean that off? I got 35% tint I always get this shade, and man I drove out and it seems like it wasn’t blocking any sun light that I’m used to… it’s like just having darker windows… without the uv blocking… I was charged $ 180 which is reasonable, but I’ll have to say that my guy in south philly tinted a car for me 8 years ago, yes 8 years! Up till today the tint still looks marvelous I guess that’s Y he charges $ 220 you get what you pay for!

Had my windows tinted exactly a month ago.
Dark gray car, black interior, prepping for a puppy to ride along with me in the near future.
Husband did research, got a quote. I made the appointment, paid in cash, followed their 1 month care instructions. NO PROBLEMS.
The staff was courteous, professional, fast and helpful. The job was flawless for our Subaru Outback. I am very pleased.

I was referred to Car Pretty from a buddy who had taken a number of cars there and had established a relationship with the owner. When I went, the owner, Steve quoted my tint job total @ $ 170. Plus tax (I used a card) it came to about $ 180 or so… not too bad. The job looked great as I got 20% on my 2012 Kia Forte EX sedan. It took maybe about 30 min total and I left happy. It’s only been about 2 weeks and I haven’t had any issues yet. Like some of the other reviews, I will most certainly update this review after more time passes but right now? Had 2 cars done here: 1 @ the old location on grant ave and the other at the current location. To put it simply the owner is shady, makes up prices as he goes, tells you a price over the phone only to increase it by 20 $ when you check out… the so called lifetime warranty is a joke, my buddy had a problem with bubbles in the passenger window and he ended up having to shell out an extra 30 $ for it to be corrected… This was 3 months later. The final straw was when I called for an estimate for a 2 door crossfire … One day it was one price, called to confirm appointment and price the next day and now all of the sudden the price jumped 40 $. 2 door car for **** dollars !? no thanks. I’ve sinced moved on to a more professional tint shop who uses quality tint and stands by his word.

I found this place through a simple Google search initially and then saw someone else’s car with a great tint job… I asked them who did it and they said «Car Pretty.» Based on the fact that this place was the only one in the Google search that looked half-​way reputable and on the quality of the job I saw first-​hand, I figured this place was pretty decent.
I called for a price quote and was quoted $ 170 minus 10 dollars from a coupon I printed off their website = $ 160. Decent price.
I went in on a weekday morning and was greeted by a nice guy who recommend 20 percent for me… but after a little indecision on my part, I actually went with 15 percent, which — in the end — I was MUCH happier with. Anyway, it’s about three weeks later and the job looks pretty solid. I’ve found about 2 or 3 small bubbles in the rear window which I am going to go back to have them fix in a couple of days. Overall, you can’t really beat that. Of course, if they fix those bubbles without any hassle — I’ll bump this rating up to a 5 star… and it will stay that way if the tints don’t turn purple, crack, peel or bubble up (if they do, I reserve the right to change the rating). So, with that said… it you need your car’s windows tinted in the Philadelphia area — go here! My 3 week old tints look great!
On a side note, the price quote did not include tax… and they only accept credit/​debit cards if you’re willing to pay a 3 percent fee. I paid with cash, so it wasn’t an issue for me.

I called about the small bubbles. My first two phone calls weren’t answered… the phone rang, rang and rang — no answer. I thought that was a little strange. The third time, someone answered. I explained the few small bubbles and asked if I could come in to have them handled. The guy on the phone immediately told me that I couldn’t expect the job to be «perfect» and there was no guarantee. He said they could take a look at it but that didn’t mean they «would» fix it (so, does that mean it’s possible that they «could» fix it but they might just choose not to?)…and he added that if they decided to fix it, it might not be that same day. Overall, the guy was incredibly rude.
This is unacceptable. Car Pretty makes a big deal about a Lifetime Warranty and being a high quality shop. I expect a «perfect» job just as much as you expect to get a «perfect» amount of money. I considered lowering my rating but decided against it — the tint job is very good, it was a decent price and the imperfections are slight. Unfortunately, it seems you cannot really rely on their customer service and the warranty seems to be equally worthless.
