Changing this review because chicken fries are back, and it made me go actually try burger king’s food for the first time in a long time. they’re really solid. it’s a regular bk but that’s not bad.

I have a complete respect for the fast food industry, it’s low wages but how is it they mess it up 9 out of 10 times. Instead of speed aka quantity they could focus on quality. Then again, this is south philly.

I’m not rating the Burger King as much as a single Burger King promotional dessert item. The Melty Molten Fudge Balls or whatever are absolutely repulsive. I’m not saying that the employees scrape all the mud and gum off the bottom of their shoes, roll it up into balls and deep fry the heck out of it, but that’s sort of what they taste like. Oh, and I’m not sure what the white stuff on the outside is supposed to be. Anthrax maybe. To put it in perspective, I prefer the chocolate munchkins from the Dunkin Donuts in Canarsie, Brooklyn to these things. To the four people who have ever been to that place… Am I right or am I right?! Anyway, I digress. Don’t order the Melty Molten Fudge Balls.

Because of its location immediately next to the on-ramp to the Walt Whitman Bridge, almost all of the customers at this Burger King seem to be truckers or cops. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The staff are almost all high school age, however, so expect lots of banter, cell phone usage, and wrong orders in the kitchen. The dining area is clean and sunny, though. One caution: if you drive or bike, their parking lot is a death trap of potholes. INSUMMARY Food freshness: almost always hot and fresh Order accuracy: maybe 80%, not very good. Overall staff attitude: young and indifferent Cleanliness of dining area: very good Cleanliness of bathrooms: better than average for fast food Refills on drinks: yes Condiments, napkins, utensils: grab ‘em yourself Kid’s play area: no Drive-through: yes, and it’s crazy slow
