This year we are also offering archival quality, limited edition, signed prints of large paintings by pre-order.
Those who would like to view the art at another time are encouraged to make an appointment.
Brooke Lanier Fine Art is a studio, classroom, and gallery in the heart of Center CIty. Brooke Lanier teaches private lessons and small group workshops, specializing in drawing and painting. Maximum class size is 5 students, and all ages and levels of experience are welcome.
Due to small class size, everyone is ensured lots of individual attention, and curriculum is tailored to the interests and needs of students in a way that isn’t possible in large groups.
Unlike craft-based curriculum, Lanier bases her classes on developing a set of technical skills that will enable her students to visually express themselves.
Lanier displays her own work, as well as that of her students, in Brooke Lanier Fine Art. Her personal work involves paintings made from pigments she makes herself, as well as oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, drawing, bookmaking, writing, and printmaking.
History
Established in 2012.
Brooke Lanier received her Masters of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Tyler School of Art, where she spent her first year of graduate school studying in Rome, Italy. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has shown her work in Rome, Italy; Prague, Czech Republic; and across the United States, most notably in The Smithsonian Institute’s S. Dillon Ripley Center and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
After grad school, Lanier taught at University City Arts League’s summer camp, and taught private lessons. In late 2012, she started Brooke Lanier Fine Art in Washington Square West, where she sells her artwork and teaches private and small group art classes. Recently, Jose Garces purchased one of her paintings for his new restaurant, Volver, in the Kimmel Center. Some of her work for sale is visible in the 12th Street Gym and 12Fit, the spa in the Loews Hotel.

Business Owner
Brooke Lanier converts her studio/classroom space to a gallery by appointment or by chance. She loves making messes (which hopefully turn into something), talking about art, learning, teaching, observing, sharing books, and most things having to do with animals. Any excuse to combine these things makes her very happy, which is why she basically has the ideal job in a lot of ways.
