Bralow Vicki, DO

Even if I am sick and need to been seen that day, Doctors Bralow and Gross are able to fit me in right away (I might have a longer wait, but what can you expect when I only called that morning and they packed me in to a tight schedule).
Dr. Bralow has always taken the time to fully understand my symptoms, and if something isn’t working, will see me again until my symptoms are under control (I specifically struggle with an endocrine disorder and she takes the time to talk to me about what is going on and refers me to other knowledgable specialists)
I am unclear as to why there are so many unsatisfied reviews here, but I whole heartedly recommend Doctors Bralow and Gross if you are looking for primary care.

Dr. Bralow is very attentive, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I had no longer than a 15 minute wait in the waiting room (at the 8^th st. office). This is a family health medical practice. If you are a patient of Dr. Bralow and you are sick, or there is some kind of emergency, she will make the time to see you right away. Sometimes that policy means if you’re healthy you may have to wait a few more minutes. But it’s worth it to have the kind of personal care Dr. Bralow offers. I definitely recommend the practice.

I saw Dr Gross for over 10 years.
It took him over 5 for him to remember my name.
Was sent to ER by his nurse practitioner and himself after a bogus diagnosis for appendicitis. He has known about my stomach issues for many years.
At the 3^rd and Wolf office I saw Dr Vicki Bralow’s husband once as he was filling in during some expansion. He was logged in on his iPad as Dr Gross and placed an order for medicine. Suspect at best? They also sent me upstairs to a disgusting facility where the waiting room literally has ceiling tiles falling down into trash receptacles left below. I’m not sure it was a good place to have a patient wait with an upper respiratory infection, but hey, I’m not the doctor right Peter?
Dr Gross doesn’t like it when people tell him «how to run his practice».
He refused to prescribe expensive season allergy medicine so it would be covered by a flexible spending account.
When I first met Peter Gross years ago he found out my parents lived in Bermuda and he was so fascinated by this (as are many doctors who think they can golf) and proceeded to spend more time going on about the island that my diagnosis.
He doesn’t like to prescribe pain medication even of it is needed.
Avoid this hack at all costs!

I used this doctor as my assigned PCP for several years. I really liked the NP (I think her name is Joanna) and felt that she gave me a lot of time and attention at my annual check up. However, I was much less impressed with Dr. Bralow as I had to wait for almost two hours for a sick visit in November. I had to leave in order to go to work, and my co-​pay was refunded. The next day, I got a call from an office assistant who said that Dr. Bralow was prescribing me a medication for nausea. How did she even know what was wrong with me? – she had never seen me or even talked to me over the phone. I also had some very negative experiences with the administrative staff. I have heard them talk very negatively about other patients when they call the office. I finally decided to seek a new PCP.

The truth is i was very sick and even more bitchy and they took great care of me. It was the 8^th st office and Dr. Peter Gross was on duty. If you feel down right miserable these are the people you want taking care of you. Yes i have waited for Dr. Bralow upon occasion for a non emergency appointment but she was worth it. so bring your knitting with you for your annual check up, shut up, be patient and be grateful you are getting excellent health care. See i’m still sick, the bitchiness hasn’t worn off yet if that gives you any indication of what i was like today int he office. Thanks everyone.

This office is truly terrible. The best thing about it is the nurse practitioner, Lisa Freeman. Otherwise, one has to wait sometimes up to two hours in the office and the office staff is completely incompetent. There are three people in the front office, but confusion reigns. They frequently appear to leave the phones off the hook so they do not have to take calls. Just this morning I went to my CT scan appointment at 7:15 am only to discover nobody from the office had faxed a referral, so the appointment had to be cancelled. I had even gone in to their office personally earlier this week to pick up documentation from my insurance that it would pay for the procedure. I have learned to show up personally because they are unreliable. There was ample time for them to take care of this. This sort of incompetence is typical for this practice. I would never trust them with treating a serious illness. For a flu shot? Sure. If you have 3 hours to spare.

Waited +1 hour for my appointment, asked reception if there was a special circumstance for the wait they replied no and the doctor will see you in 15 minutes. Multiple people in the waiting room warned me this was typical, so I got my copay refunded, GONE NEVER AGAIN!

Writing this on behalf of my significant other who doesn’t Unilocal.
She has found the office to be uncooperative and difficult. They also refused to fill a prescription for her once they found out she was changing practices.
No major gripes with Doctors Gross and Bralow, really just a seemingly poorly managed office.

Dr. Bralow routinely shows up 1 hour late to office. I have waited up to 2 hours to see her. She has spent the entirety of our sessions (which only last about 10 minutes) constantly checking her iPhone. She does not listen to patient questions or concerns.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bralow’s for 5 years.
I have to say though I do like Dr. Bralow very much as well as the nurse practitioner, Lisa, this office is truly the most horrendously mismanaged office I’ve ever visited.
I have waited 45 minutes to an hour for an appointment on several occasions. They do not call back with test results EVER and have failed to call in prescriptions when they promised to. They also have this habit of putting on their answering machine message to avoid calls in the afternoons while they are still in the office. And of course they do not monitor the messages so there is literally no way to get a hold of them.
Though they promise to transfer medical records in 2 weeks, they have taken 2 months currently and still no record transfer even after a follow up call.
I have only spoken to Dr. Peter Gross on the phone but found him to be very condescending.
I think the behavior of the front office reflects extremely poorly on their practice and I can say that I would not, under any circumstances, recommend this practice to ANYONE I care about. In general their behavior is disrespectful of patents’ time and extremely unprofessional.

They are a great office, great service and very friendly.
Dr. Bralow and her assistant and receptionist are always super busy, but I can understand why.
When you make an appointment, be aware that you may have to wait a bit longer to get service, but it’s worth it. The Doctor is knowledgeable and helpful.
