Boris Sereda Jewelers

I had an heirloom sapphire that was an especially unique long oval shape that would need to be custom fitted for a new setting. After looking around in some other jewelry stores in Philly, and asking some friends what they might suggest, I ended up at Boris’s shop. Not only did I get a much better price for what I wanted compared to other stores, I didn’t have to compromise at all on the setting since he listened to my description and produced a ring that’s even better than I could have imagined. Further, he’s one of the nicest people, jeweler or not, that I’ve met in a while. After seeing his work, I’m now having him design an engagement ring for me, which is a fusion of select aspects of two (expensive) designer styles for a great price. Can’t wait to see the results!

Stunning looking ring. My fiancé loves it. Everyone who sees it compliments her and tells her how original and different it looks. Boris is a fine craftsman and we had him make our wedding bands as well. Everyone who looks at the ring says the same exact thing. «I have never seen a ring like that before. It looks beautiful and different!» I know I made the right choice.

Boris is amazing. I needed some custom work done on my plain wedding band to match a new ring I wanted to wear with it (my mother passed down her diamond to me), and Boris did hand-​carving and milgrain work to make the two look like they were always meant to be a set. Only one week turnaround, during one of the busiest time of the year, to boot (Christmas/​New Year). On top of all of that, his price for such custom work was EXTREMELY reasonable.
I highly recommend Sereda Jewelers. Boris has earned himself a forever customer in me, for sure.

Before I got engaged, I had done a lot of research and knew that I wanted a ring that resembled the Tacori halo style. I wasn’t a fan though of the way the setting sat so high off of the band, so I had Boris design a custom ring that was similar in style but with a lower setting. Since I live in Chicago, I emailed him several pictures and specifics of what I wanted. I will admit I was really scared about how it would turn out since I’m so picky, but I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect. I get so many compliments on how gorgeous my ring is and I love that no one else has one exactly like it! Boris also made my wedding band that coordinates with my engagement ring along with my husband’s band. We loved working with Boris and would recommend him to anyone looking for custom jewelry!

Great find for jewelry repair! I was recently given some jewelry that belonged to my grandmother and wanted to convert a few of the clip-​on earrings into posts. I don’t have a go-​to jeweler in the city so I did some Unilocaling and Googling and decided on Sereda Jewelers.
Boris was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and even stayed late to accommodate my work schedule when my items were ready to be picked up.
I would recommend Sereda Jewelers to anyone looking for miscellaneous repairs and know I will be heading back next time I need something fixed.
They also have some nice sparkly things behind the counter for sale if that’s what you’re looking for!

Mr. Sereda made our Green Lantern wedding rings based on specifications I had e-​mailed him, and was very willing to work with me to make sure that we would be satisfied with the end product.
Though I was local and offered to pop into the store for payment (where Boris also showed me his design sketches for the rings and the emeralds he had sourced), he’s happy to work with customers over the Internet instead and will ship out custom jewelery via UPS.
While I wasn’t in a fantastic rush to get the rings (I had given myself several months of lead time), they did take a little longer to get than expected (hence the 4 star review). Well worth the wait, though.
