Blink Art Gallery

You climb a crap load of stairs to get to it (4^th floor with no elevator. ugh!), but once you catch your breath at the top this gallery rewards you with some sick art that stays longer than the blink of an eye.
One incentive to check out the art inside might be the fact that it depicts a lot of nudity each time (in at least 3 pieces every time that I’ve been). But that’s not the only reason — It seriously usually houses some of the best art that I’ve seen on the First Friday scene, and it maintains that fairly consistently. Unfortunately the website wouldn’t let me copy any of the images so you’re just going to have to scope out the link and take my word for it. they bring in a well rounded blend of photography that looks like paintings, paintings that look like photography, and the beyond abstract.
For the 4^th floor of a building Blink is pretty huge. It generally brings in 20 – 30 lush works of art. And they keep it widespread among the wooden décor. So in the long run it’s worth putting up with those damn stairs.
