Benjamin Moore Paints

First the paint:
Benjamin Moore Natura paint is a fantastic product. I have tried many low-​VOC paints and I like this one by far the best. The odor is much lower than Sherwin Williams and even than products like AFM Safe Coat, which has been around and spearheading low-​VOC paints way before Ben Moore jumped on the bandwagon. Plus, Natura coats much better than other low-​VOC paints I have tried.
Ben Moore really gets color right. Their hues and saturations are the best. You can get cheaper paint elsewhere but it won’t cover as well and it just isn’t going to look as nice.
Next the store:
Most of the guys who work here are very good at answering questions. They seem to like what they do and take pride in their job. Sometimes a few of them seem like newbies who don’t know as much about the products as I do. If you get one of these guys just find someone else to talk to.

The quality of Benjamin Moore paint is unquestionable and as long as you can justify the price to yourself then worth it.
My main reason for writing the review is for this location’s customer service. I’ve only been in once, and looking at the other reviews I may have gotten lucky, but service was above and beyond. I had a list of colors a mile long with no corresponding numbers and no way to find them on the huge wall of chips. One of the guys working there spent over ONE HOUR standing there with me reading off names, him looking them up and finding the chips for me. And no attitude about it whatsoever.
Then a few days later I asked a local business about the color on their walls and she had the name but couldn’t remember anything else. She told me she got the paint at this location and I should go and look for this guy who would be super helpful. Same guy. Two for two.
I wish their hours extended beyond 5:00 for us working folks but other than that, I’m glad this place is close by.

Paint is kick ass, service is full of snark. You’re a paint store. Get over yourself. That being said, I wouldn’t buy my paint anywhere else. Maybe the attitude is warranted, no definitely not. Get over yourself. You will pay a lot for paint here, but you won’t need as many coats or as much elbow grease to paint your walls. It’s worth it.

Great Selection of colors and hues and different types of paints and finishes. Service is average — more involved and informed than those at Lowes or Home Depot.
For those who own or rent older apartments or homes in the city, there is an entire Historical Collection that is inspired by the documented colors found in 18^th– and 19^th-​century architecture. I found the most subtle light gray, and it took only one coat to paint a room that was bright dark turquoise.
Not cheap, pretty expensive actually, obviously depending on what type of paint you buy. They also sell all the accoutrements that you need for painting. Locally, prices for those items are more affordable at Metro Hardware.
