Benjamin Franklin Beer Distributor

They have this truck that drives around blasting music as a shitty marketing ploy… sometimes at 7AM. I will never buy from them.

WOW. I went into this shop, got a case of yuengling from the cooler, brought it to the counter, paid, left and then drank said case. That is exactly what a beer store is supposed to do. 5 STARS!

The owner tried to sell me a case of expired beer which I politely declined, he insisted that the beer was fine and so offered to give me my money back if I bought the case and was dissatisfied with the beer. I said «thanks, i’ll think about it»
Somehow this deeply offended him because he proceeded to walk away while cursing audibly shouting «Bullshit, get the fuck out of here»
He then proceeded to shout at me about turning down such a great offer, going so far as to say to my friends «Is this your buddy? wow okay» KICKING me out of the store because he «didn’t like me»
I have never felt so personally attacked by the OWNER of a business, while trying to buy a case of beer. I never raised my voice even for a second during this whole encounter. While some of these reviews have been positive, and maybe I caught this guy on the wrong day, I will NEVER support this business again– and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
As a side note, MANY of the cases I saw were expired, including one that expired in 2013.
FInally– if you can make it to society hill beverage, they are a few dollars cheaper per case.

nice selection and have whatever you need, plus they have cigars. but expensive because theyre in old city which is fine, but when i overpay for a case of bud light i dont want my beers dented and exploding when i open them. kinda pissed me off.

I was looking to pick up a quick six pack on my way to a gathering, and was told that that this was a spot where you could do just that. When I walked in, I was clearly disappointed to find that it was a distributor, and asked if there was anywhere nearby where I could grab a few single beers.
The owner, an incredibly nice guy, gave me another alternative: I could buy a case now, take what I wanted, and leave the rest for whenever I was able to pick it up. I told him I didn’t live in the neighborhood and probably couldn’t pick up the rest of the case for a week or so, and he assured me it was no problem. Everyone won; I got a much better price than I would have from a six-​pack place, and he made a sale.
I will definitely be going back just because of how accommodating and great the owner is. I don’t know if other distributors can follow their lead, but they should!

I bought some cigars from there. Amazing customer service from the man who sold cigars, he was so helpful and super friendly. Knew everything there was to know about what he sold! Great knowledge about cigars and will buy from him again.

Pretty good selection of classics and crafts, and prices are pretty average. The staff are always friendly and helpful, too.
I’ve never gotten delivery because I live ridiculously close, but their prices are $ 5 flat plus $ 1 for each case.
My only complaint is that I came looking for pumpkin beer one day, and they took my phone number so they could call me when it came in. They never did.

Decent selection (including a couple gluten free), great prices, convenient location and hours.
They carry 2 gluten free beers that I saw — Omission and Greens!!! And the prices for the case were not bad on the Omission… coudldn’t find the price on Greens though.
They also have Hanks soda (awesome!) and sell other things like cigarettes, cigars, snacks and sodas/​juices.
