This salon has closed I wasn’t so upset the salon shut down but I loved how Allegra did my hair, I’m happy to report I found her she is now at Anthony j hair studio in sicklerville
856 262 7960. Its a tad farther for me to go since I live in cherry hill but she is worth the drive. Check my review for them after my next haircut in a few weeks.
First haircut is 10 off the normal 45.00 price.

Karen my stylist is awesome and sweet and quick so I’ll def be going back. The girl at the front desk on the other hand was rude and unprofessional. I asked for a cup of coffee and she looked so put out someone else said they would help me make it. There were no coffee. Then when checking out she was as nasty as could be. Disgusted that they would have someone like that at the front desk. Hire someone that’s grateful to have a job.

I have been going there for 2 years. I love the atmosphere and I only go there because of Karen, she is the best. Very attentive, sweet and always cuts my hair the way I want it.

I have been going to B2 Salon for a little over a year now… and I love it! I have very thin and flat hair, and could never get my hair to grow past a certain point. I became discouraged and started to accept the fact that my hair just wouldn’t grow… that was until I met Sam. My hair has grown so many inches and has never been healthier and I owe every bit of that to Sam. Every time I leave I am amazed with how great my hair looks. She has coached me how to treat my hair and has encouraged a routine cut (which I am learning makes all the difference.) She always greets me with a smile and hug, and I always leave relaxed, happy, & feeling awesome. I cannot recommend Sam enough — she is my hairs saving grace!!!

Just to echo everyone else’s sentiment– it’s hard to write a negative review, but honestly you deserve to know the truth and make an educated decision about where to spend your money– especially when there are SO many salons in Philadelphia. The location of b2 is decent, but nothing too ideal. The skill and attitude of the employees combined the prices charged to customers is what totally kills this place. You’ll see them offering discounts and specials because they definitely don’t have repeat clients.
I have had a mani/​pedi, cut, and keratin treatment here. All with different stylists and honestly Karen was the best, but I don’t even know if she works here anymore because the last time I went they were under new management and a lot of employees had been fired… Overall the stylists here seem like beginners and services take a lot longer than they should. My mani/​pedi chipped the next day and was lumpy and uneven. Even with the specials you aren’t getting much of a deal and I have had problems scheduling appointments or redeeming vouchers. Overall it’s not worth it, go elsewhere Philly has great salons.

I am upset I haven’t discovered this place sooner. I came here because I was in desperate need of a good cut and color and it was in the area. I saw Sam, who really worked wonders on my hair. I explained to her what I wanted, even though I wasn’t totally sure. She talked it out with me and gave me her opinion of what she thought would look best. It turned out exactly what I wanted. Everyone in the salon was super friendly, including the other customers. I highly recommend Sam and b2 salon.

I’m writing this review after my second visit, so it’s an average rating of the two visits. The first time I went in was in April, and I came in with a Groupon ($ 35 for wash, haircut, and style for first time customers), and they gave me a voucher afterward to match the Groupon price. My haircut was fine the first time. I wasn’t dazzled, but it was a good cut (though slightly longer than I wanted, which I didn’t until after I got home). My stylist, Elle, was friendly and sweet, and took her time explaining what she was doing and why.
This last time, though… I left dazzled. I had Elle again when I came in to redeem my voucher. We talked about what I wanted, as I had some idea as far as length. She did an amazing job! My hair is really thick, even though it’s fairly short (about shoulder length), so I appreciated that she took the time to thin it out. (On both occasions she told me, «I could cut your hair for DAYS!») She did a great job styling it, too. Right now I’m looking for a job in the non-​profit field, and with this haircut I know I’ll make a great first impression!

I have been going to Sam to have my hair highlighted and styled for about a year (maybe 3 – 4 times). I love the color, it looks natural but yet much lighter than my regular hair color. The haircuts are great too, always grow out well and she does exactly what I want. I don’t know how she blow dries my hair but it’s incredible and she uses like 20 brushes at once (exaggerating slightly) and it lasts for at least two days. Started out as a groupon user and they price match your next appointment. Sam is great about not spending all of your money on unnecessary treatments (for example doing partial/​fashion highlights vs full, trims vs entire cuts). Price is comparable to area salons, which is expensive but any good center city salon will be. You get great service, the place is so clean, definitely recommend.

i had one of the best salon experiences of my life! I bought the $ 85 groupon and it was absolutely worth it! Not only were the people very nice, but they really helped me out! I wasn’t really sure what I wanted but i had 10 different pictures that i kinda liked. Sam perfectly picked out a good median that had all the elements I wanted in a new style. She was so funny and we had a great time talking. My color looked perfect! Even more perfect then i anticipated!
Sam shared my hesitance of using bleach on hair. She used a gentle lightener so it wasn’t as harsh. I have jet black hair and the ending result was a caramel-​honey balayage! It was perfect! The glaze wasn’t included in the package, so that was an extra $ 25!
Afterwards Niaelle (spelling? sorry.) cut my hair. She asked me questions of what i wanted and explained what certain hair styles would be like on my hair. She was so sweet and very talented! She definitely fixed up my attempted self-​cut bangs and split ends. She did exactly what I wanted! only cut an inch off the ends, put some long layers in, and gave me a beautiful face frame!
I’ve never been happier! Definitely going back!

I’m so middle of the road on this because they gave me a great haircut for a great price (thanks LivingSocial) but they confused the hell out of me and I’m still trying to figure out where they were going with this whole thing…
The other day I decided to finally use a LivingSocial deal that I had been sitting on for the better part of a year, $ 35 for a wash, haircut, blowdry and styling… seemed like a great idea because I’ve been to the salon before without a groupon-​like deal and it’s always easy to make an appointment, the stylists listen to what you say and you can get in and out without a whole lot of extra push conversation to boost sales. I made it to my appointment, sat down post-​wash to have my hair cut and started chatting with the stylist about what kind of a style I wanted. Initially I planned on having her straighten it so that I could have a little extra flair going on for that nights dinner party, but the weather didn’t look like it was going to cooperate so I voted against that idea because of my super curly mane and the waste of time it would have been on both our ends to try and tame it. She told me that it would cost an extra $ 20 to blow it out but that she would do it another time for me because of the weather. Not sure why I would have had to pay an extra $ 20 to begin with since the LivingSocial included a styling with no small print exclusions… essentially bringing the cost of services back to their everyday pricing, but whatever. Somewhere along the way our conversations must have been misunderstood because with a wet head she then says to me, ok you’re all done; now I’m confused. I left thinking maybe I had misread the deal and that I was only going to get a haircut out of the deal, but turned around and said to myself «something isn’t quite right here, you just left with a half-​ass job done». By the time I got back to the salon, the stylist had left for her break and I was about to give up and just go home and figure my hair out myself, but I was kind of miffed. When she walked back in she looked at me confused when I said «can you finish my hair?» Her response to me was «it’s not done?», «I thought you were going to come back for a styling». At this point I want to cry, my hair is turning into a frizzy mess the longer it air dries with no product in it and I just wanted to say «forget it, I’ll figure it out myself». She decides to rewash my hair blow it curly, gives me a thin veil of a hairspray that I buy over the counter at CVS… one that I know is not going to control my mess of hair.
By the time I got home, my hair was a giant unmanageable mess again and I was left to wash my hair for the 4^th time that day and scramble to fix it in time to turn around and leave for that nights event. The whole point of having my hair cut and styled was to avoid the stresses later in the day that I ended up shouldering anyway. I want to be able to give B2 Philly a higher star rating, but the entire encounter seemed way too air-​heady for something that should have been easily understood. It’s hard finding someone who can really cut curly hair in the city and I’ve been on the hunt for a good stylist at a reasonable price for awhile, but the search is going to have to continue because I don’t think this is the place for me.

Brian Donnelly is one of the best stylist in the Philadelphia area. He is attentive, friendly, and positively delightful!!! If your going to B2 I highly recommend him!

Paid $ 85 from Groupon offer. Full highlights, cut and style. Elle told me I needed a glaze, extra $ 25 bucks, no problem. I asked for Honey Blonde, somehow I came out an Ash Brunette. Ele kept telling me it would get lighter as it dried. It didn’t. I went home and washed it out hoping it would get lighter, it didn’t. $ 85 groupon + $ 25 glaze + $ 25 tip = one unhappy ash brunette who paid for honey blonde my normal color. Am expecting them to fix it for free. Will update how they respond to my request.
UPDATE Elle corrected my color and I’m back to blonde. THANK YOU. Elle! And Karen for the great blow out and style. Heading back to Cali looking good! I highly recommend this salon.

I walked in this morning with hair that was about ¾ of the way down my back; we’re talking 4 inches from my butt. I asked for about 4 – 5 inches off and a bit of layering to break up the thickness. Allegra cut off about 8 inches of my hair and left gaping, uneven holes. The longest layer of your hair should be even all the way around your head. Well, mine looked like a 5 year just cut big chunks off wherever she pleased. I tipped and left.
In order to get it completely fixed, I had to pay another stylist who ended up having to take another 4 inches off to fix it. So that was 12 inches in one day and no poor cancer patient could even benefit from my loss because the chopping Allegra did left no wig material.
I know it’s just hair and yes, it grows back. But when you spend 5 – 7 years growing your hair to the length I have, only to have someone destroy it in an hour, it’s quite upsetting.

Reviewers… I have something to admit… I have a receding hairline. And like other men (and a few women) with a receding hairline I understand the importance of finding a stylist who can combat the ever growing size of my forehead with a good cut. A stylist that understands that one snip too many and I end up with what I call «the awkward week,» where I wait for my hair to grow back to a manageable length… Im a difficult customer because of my hairline and usually try to plan my hair cuts 1 week in advance of important events to mitigate the awkward week that I and I’m sure so many other men with a receding hairline have endured after a «trim»…
But sometimes plans don’t go according to schedule and recently I had to get a haircut the night of a date. Normally this would have caused me great anxiety but fortunately since I moved to center city this past summer I have been going to a stylist (Karen) at B2 salon who is patient and aware of my concerns and always gives me great hair cuts. Needless to say I went in on Friday– told her I needed a hair cut that didn’t look like I just had my hair cut (guys like me will know what I’m taking about) and she delivered.
As a guy who is so concerned with my hair I am so grateful for B2 salon and stylists like Karen. I highly recommend this place.

I hate to write reviews where I can’t say anything good about the business. I think it comes from my early years when my parents told me «if you can’t say something good about someone, don’t say anything at all.» So, I have held off for months on writing this review. Today, however, my conscience got the best of me and trumped dear-​old dad’s advice. As a Unilocaler, after all, I should be fair to all businesses, and that means giving honest assessments regardless. So here goes.
A while ago, I bought a voucher for a pedi/​mani and mini facial to use at b2. I called to schedule it, and the receptionist grilled me on where I bought it and what the voucher entailed. Her concern was that b2 did not offer the services sold on the voucher. They have no one to do facials. It actually perplexed the receptionist more than it annoyed me. Being happy to try their services anyway, I told them not to worry, just spend a little extra time doing what you do well and don’t worry about my facial — or lack thereof. Appointment scheduled.
A week before the appointment I received a call from someone at b2 who was totally confused. I told her about the voucher, the prior call, and what I expected. The woman tweaked my services again, finally saying that there were some upgrades I could use, like get some special nail polish. I was not interested in that, and told her under the circumstances I’d give my voucher/​appointment to a neighbor who would be happy for whatever they could do (since it was a gift).
My friend went to the appointment, was told that she could have one of two kinds of pedis, only one of which they could do at that time, waited 45 minutes for service during which the staff talked among themselves, and finally got the worst manicure she has ever gotten. She called me afterward to warn me about the awful service and later showed me how poorly her nails were filed and polished.
We were so happy to have a salon move into our neighborhood (see, dad, I said something «nice»), but we won’t go there again. They advertise services they don’t offer, they offer services they can’t give, and they can’t do well whatever it is they decide to do.

It’s rare that I purchase an offer from a deal site, but I was in desperate need of a last minute mani/​pedi on a day that my usual nail salon was closed, so I took the plunge when I noticed an offer for B2. The deal was a mani/​pedi for $ 25. I had an enjoyable service with Carole, who is very sweet and has been in the industry for quite a while.
When I paid, I was given a coupon to return for the very same deal on another occasion. Nice! Once again, I made an appointment at the eleventh hour before a holiday weekend and the place was packed. It was understandable that appointments were running a few minutes behind, though I ended up soaking in lukewarm water for ten minutes or so, with no magazines in sight. I do appreciate that B2 uses tub liners for pedicures. That’s something I’ve grown accustomed to at my usual nail salon and it makes the service much more sanitary.
The color selection leaves a lot to be desired. Many of the polishes look old or like they haven’t been used for a while. I didn’t see a lot of full bottles and some of the polishes were separating. That said, my mani lasted several days without chips (though I did apply an extra top coat at home after a couple days).
I won’t be leaving my normal salon but it’s nice to have a back-​up. I would consider purchasing a deal for B2 again though I don’t think I’d be willing to pay full price for their services.

Boring haircut (and terrible job with bangs), alright color (not sure anything was done but whatever), appointment started 15 minutes late even with the stylist there the entire time (and not working, doing something in the staff room) & a total time of 1 hour and 15 minutes scheduled for a FULL highlight, cut & dry? Lame.
Oh and then charging me on top of my full priced Groupon $ 25 for a glaze? When you didn’t tell me, didn’t give me full highlights at all and overall did a poor job? It’s sad because I am on the hunt for a long-​term hair stylist (the Groupon was for new clients only so clearllllly I was new and interested in coming back again and again), and when I’m treated the way I was at b2 I know I’ll never be back. Onto the next!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have only been here once, and it was with a Groupon for a brazilian. I needed one badly and could not get a timely appointment at my normal place.
Never. Again.
The aesthetician waxing me took several phone calls DURING THE APPOINTMENT, WHILE HOT WAX WAS ON ME. In addition, she was clearly pretty inexperienced because it would take her several tries to rip the wax strip off. By the end of it, it looked like someone attacked me with a weed wacker. I told the salon owner about my experience, expecting a refund or an offer of a free future service. And she did not even apologize.
Needless to say I am never going back and did not leave a tip. My advice: avoid b2 Salon at all costs if this is the type of employee they are keeping around.

The manicurist is the best part — (Carol??) she is a gem and a great technician — but my polish chipped 6 hours later. (Which seems odd seeing that she used CND products. That said — I returned a few weeks later to see Carol for a mini facial (30 minutes, Dermalogica Products).
The hairdresser, Elle, did just an OK job on my blowout. She did not listen to what I wanted.
Manager/​Receptionist Jamie was very pleasant and friendly.
One suggestion: Please have a water cooler or water available. I was told I could fill up my own water bottle in the bathroom. Not too classy for an otherwise classy salon.
Décor is beautiful but B2 has some kinks to work out.
4 star manicure, 4 star facial, 2 star blowout.
