I am completely impressed with this Hampton inn. I am a diamond level choice rewards member, top tier platinum IHG rewards member, hold many rewards cards that define me as a frequent guest, and personally stay in 100+ hotels a year. My employees stay at an additional 250 to 300 hotels a year. I rarely hear negative comments about any Hilton property’s. The breakfast staff and service of the hotel staff in general was miles above what I expected. This 2.5 star hotel location gives 3.5 star service. I have also stayed in many 4 to 5 star establishments that give 3.5 star service. So to get more than I expected based on the star rating online is refreshing. The bedding was comfortable, and the rooms were very clean. Back home in Nashville this room would be $ 270 a night and we paid just half of that. We received a great value with this property. Prepare to receive more than you expect if you stay at this location.

Southern Hospitality at its finest! Greeted upon entry-Very helpful staff-The rooms are nice-Comfy beds-Flat screen TV-Refrigerator-Nice bathroom-Very tasty breakfast The Chef for breakfast is Nancy. OhMyGosh! She is the sweetest lady. I just wanna take her home with me. She can really cook her buttocks off. The food was so good I asked her what she put in it and she said«LOVE». That’s exactly what it was because she really made me feel like family. She also helped with site seeing activities. Because of the service here I will look to stay at other Hampton Inns in the future.

The hotel looked great online and I was already excited about staying there before even arriving. What I didn’t expect was how amazing it really is in real life. Since the purpose of my stay was to visit my brother at Fort Benning, the location was ideal for driving there, as the hotel is right off the highway. But back to the hotel. It’s very clean, tastefully decorated, and the staff is just superb. They were always cheery, which is very much appreciated from this Californian. The breakfast there is nice– always something different every day, and the food is fresh. I really enjoyed the communal experience of the dining area and we got to talk to some fellow guests there. The room itself was very spacious(we had a two queen suite), complete with beds that are just so inviting at the end of a long day. This hotel just made me happy overall. I’m sure I could go on about how nice it was(the view of fall foliage from our windows!) but I’ll leave that for you to find out should you decide to ever stay here. Happily, I will be staying here again soon to attend the«big» graduation, and I’m even more excited to see how my experience is this time around!

The hotel itself is great — It’s a newer Hampton Inn, nicely appointed and well-decorated, clean, standard comfy beds, the whole nine yards. Shower heads, sinks, and toilets are all high which I’m sure is great for most people(but not me, haha). They have a pool AND a whirlpool, which always adds extra points in my book. The pool was cloudy a lot of the time while we were there, but always seemed to be the worst after really big rushes of folks during the day with sunscreen, so I don’t think it was anything they were(or weren’t) doing chemical-wise. The location is fabulous — located right along a major thoroughfare, so we could bounce into downtown(uptown? whatever that cute little area was) within 5 minutes, the airport was 12-ish minutes away, and the Target /Fresh Market /WalMart area was roughly 10 as well. Fort Benning airfield was 20-ish minutes, but I think this might have been the closest brand-name hotel in the area. Tons of stuff to do in the area, and most of it inexpensive — the Coca Cola Space Science Center, Heritage Park, the riverwalk, the Columbus Museum. All of it super-convenient and close. Woo! But the real reason for the 5-star review? THESTAFFISAMAZING. Seriously. We were here for two full weeks, and everyone was super-friendly and definitely went above and beyond. I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with some fabulous people at Hampton Inns here and there, but these guys take the cake. Mr Garrick knew us(and everyone else, it seemed) by name within a day or two. Erica at the front desk was awesome(and even said my guy better not come back without«little man» when he returned, haha). Michelle… Mr Reynaldo… the list goes on and on. They all went out of their way to keep us comfortable and kept the kiddos happy with little extras here and there. I could wax poetic but I won’t, because this should say it all: We stayed there for a couple of weeks, left to visit the in-laws for a week or so, and were going to be back here in Phenix City for another couple of days. Work plans changed while we were gone, and we decided to stay put with the in-laws and let the guy travel back to knock out his work stuff alone. After plans were made, I remembered that we hadn’t said a proper goodbye to the hotel staff(there was lots of «bye, we’ll be back soon» going on, but still) and I actually had that panic moment of OMG I SHOULDHAVETAKENTHEMINTOCONSIDERATIONWHENWEWEREMAKINGOURDECISION. Like… really?!? Yeah. That’s how awesome this staff is. Go there. You won’t be disappointed. (And hey staff — if you read this? I promise we didn’t mean to stand you up like that. FORREAL. *sad face*)

Among 3 star hotels, this Hampton Inn is a 5 star. Very modern and clean, 24 hour coffee service, good continental breakfasts that include hot items(usually omlettes, sausage/bacon, potatoes, waffles, etc.) Bathrooms were clean, beds were very comfortable, and the suite we stayed in with the sofa, desk, chair was very spacious. Friendly staff tops it off. A well run hotel!

With all my travel for work I have become a huge fan of Hampton Inn’s This locations is pretty new(about a year and half old) The lobby is beautiful with vaulted ceiling and fireplace. The rooms are very clean and the beds are so comfortable! I have nothing but praises for this location. Staff are friendly and informative. Price is great(about $ 109 per night) and the free breakfast(hot with some great choices) is always good. Beware that there is an army base close by and during graduation rooms are scarce. Location is close to some good mom and pop restaurants and some national chains as well.
