Phenix City-Russell County Library

Their book collection is quite small. That’s not the library staff’s fault though. However the fact that no one ever seems to have good answers whenever I have a question kind of is. the answer is always «the girl who knows how to do that isn’t here.» I guess that girl must have some great job security. Their inter-​library loan system leaves much to be desired. What I could glean (without «the girl» available) was that you fill out a form and in their words «we try and find it for you.» Okay.great. I submitted an online request to have a couple books put on hold for me. Two days later I went in and it hadn’t been done. So I get there and look for them with one of the staff. One is either lost or mis-​shelved and the other requires a $ 25 deposit to check out. I understand that most of this isn’t their fault but it is how I feel about the library. I guess I’ve been spoiled by more developed libraries. Step it up, Phenix City!

5 star library with 5 star service. Plus great plenty of activities and programs for kids. Arts and craft, games, and even soldiers will come in and read books to the kids! For adults there are plenty of resources available that any library has. All computer and materials work and are kept in good condition. All in all, a great place
