Attend an event in McAllen for TWUA and hands down the BEST Mexican food I have ever eaten. The food was hot and the tortilla were hand made there as was the Trompo. The selection of salsa was excellent. Dessert was wonderful. If you use any other caterer other than Carmen… You wasted your money. GREATJOBLADIES!!!

«So… we have a caterer?» I queried as my parents assured me the food and decorations for the rehearsal dinner were well in hand. «And decorations?» I asked doubtfully. And who is this person? A friend of a friend? YOU tried to speak in Spanish? OMG I hope this works out. And it did, beautifully. Carmen and her sister Elsa did all the food and the decorations for a party of about 130 with seeming ease. Elsa transformed a raw space into a fiesta! forever! event. Gorgeous colored tablecloths, centerpieces, huge paper flowers, sombreros, candelarias. The whole thing was just perfect and probably the best that place is ever gonna look. Carmen, the chef of the duo, cooked, set up, served, cleaned up and generally made everyone as happy as pigs in shit. And I dont use that very graphic phrase lightly. On the menu: small homemade corn and flour tortillas, fajita, chicken, pork asada, pork belly, gorditas, quesadillas, poblano with cream and corn(veggie), towers of trompo(marinated for days), a huge salsa bar, aguas frescas(fresh juices) of watermelon, mango, pineapple and all the serving ware included. Oh, this all cost us $ 20 a person & $ 15 a table. Your quote may be different but I was mightily impressed. It was like I walked into a portal to mexico, minus the scary drug guys and iffy food(but plus a lot of scary relatives.) It seems like that dynamic duo can handle any project you want to throw at them. And believe me, you should throw every event with them. People will be raving about it for years — and I didnt have to lift a finger. Only a fork.
