I’ve walked past this salon on several occasions and it looked very professional from the outside. It is conveniently located in downtown Pflugerville, next to several local social hubs. I was very happy to hear that Demetria has now joined Jagged Edge Salon. If your looking for a great haircut from a true professional, Demetria is the one to go see.

How funny that all the one-star reviews are for Shala Raesz! I, too, purchased a Groupon for a haircut, and it was a total mistake. I got it for my mom as a Christmas gift(mistake #2) because it’s in her neighborhood, but let’s just say its convenient location did not make up for the price we paid. So, here’s why I will never do business with this salon ever again. 1. My mom wears her hair really short and just needed a simple trim, which I clearly explained to Shala. Shala managed to cut off a chunk of my mom’s hair above her ear. 2. I handed the printed Groupon to Shala. She tried to scan the bar code on it and manually put in the code using her cell phone, but it didn’t work for some reason. So she asked ME to call Groupon. This is where my responsibility should’ve ended(I already paid for the service. I can’t make your phone take the stupid code), but I felt like being nice so I complied. 10 minutes later, Groupon assured me that there was no problem with the bar code, I repeated the message to Shala. However, she didn’t seem satisfied with what Groupon had to say, so she made me wait longer while she made someone else at the salon call Groupon to confirm what I just said. More waiting. She finally let me and my mom leave the salon after 25 minutes of this nonsense and we left feeling like we just attempted to rip off the woman by printing a fake Groupon(Shala kept saying«How weird. I’ve never seen a Groupon that looks like that before.») So there you have it. I can forget that this terrible experience ever happened, but my poor mom now has a haircut that looks chewed up. If you’re thinking about trying out this«stylist», please, do yourself a favor and run!

First time trying Jagged Edge Salon. I purchased a groupon for highlights along with a haircut with Shala Raesz. Sounds like there is a reason she offers groupons for unsuspecting dummies like myself. She never asked me what shade of blonde I wanted, so I ended up with bleach blonde highlights along with my previous golden blonde and natural light brown coloring(too many colors going on). She also never asked me how I parted my hair, so I have stripes from my forehead back rather than blending them in. HORRIBLE looking!!! She was super rough when she washed out the color, splashing water all over my face. I needed a separate towel for the makeup running down my face. My husband rarely notices when I get my hair done, but he noticed this time and asked what happen! My haircut wasn’t horrible, she just cut too much bangs after I told her I was trying to grow them out. I’ve come to learn unless someone is offering groupons due to building up clients cause their new in town I would avoid the ones like Shala who aren’t good at what they do, so they get new unsuspecting victims through these services! So if you’re smart enough to have googled her before going, then take my advice and go to someone else!

First time trying The Jagged Edge Salon. I purchased a groupon to get a haircut with Shala Raesz. Mistake! Unhappy with my haircut and the little professionalism of the salon overall. Noone was there to greet me and sat through salon drama gossip. Eek. Never again.

I just met a kindred spirit and her name is Diane. She squeezed me in before my big business week in ORL, and next thing I knew, I was talking to someone who had similar life experiences as I. I walked out with a great cut and a warm heart. Thank you!

This place was great!!! It felt kind of like a scene out of Steel Magnolias where everyone knows everyone, and you feels warm and fuzzy when they leave. When I have my hair cut I want to enjoy myself and not just have someone cut my hair. Shala was very personable and easy to chat with. She did a great job on my hair and I will for sure be booking my next appointment with her.

My family just relocated from out of state and I was referred to Brandi by two different people which both have longer hair with highlights. I have extremely short hair, am very picky regarding my cut and color and I also have a child with special needs. The first time I called I asked about the services that were provided and the lady offered to put me through to Brandi’s voice mail. I waited well over a week and a half to hear back from Brandi at which time I called again and someone else informed me that Brandi was on vacation and when I asked about the services and pricing she was extremely vague stating that they all work independently. I don’t have a problem with the independence but it would have been nice to know that Brandi was on vacation from the beginning. Then when Brandi did finally call back she was very nice to me at first but then I guess I touched a nerve regarding whether or not she would be staying here in TX or moving to LA(being that I didn’t want to get use to someone doing my hair and then find out that she would be leaving the state) she became very defensive and interrupted me in order to chew me out regarding my voice mail along with stating that she wasn’t taking any new clients. When I tried to ask how she was offended by my voice mail she refused to comment saying that if any hair stylist had heard what I had said on the voice mail they wouldn’t want to work with me. On the voice mail I simply explained that I was coming from out of state, wanted to know if she would have a problem contacting my former stylist regarding cut and color(being that she doesn’t use the same color line) and wanted to know the pricing. Brandi of course ended the call by aggressively stating that she hoped that I could find someone that would be willing to work with me and then wished me a great day and hung up on me. First impression was a 0, defensiveness of stylist was a major turn off and it is really sad that her lack of professionalism and integrity cost her business a possibility to make money doing three different cuts, two colors/highlights and me just spreading the word of what a great salon The Jagged Edge could be. This may be an isolated incident but coming from a salon and spa background all Brandi really needed to say was that unfortunately she was no longer taking any new clients, explain the different color lines used in her salon, and refer me to another one of her stylist. As it stands I have since found another salon and spa that was excited to work with me and eager to answer my questions which The Jagged Edge had difficulty with and I will spend my money elsewhere. I would not recommend this salon to anyone and hope that Brandi finds happiness wherever she finds herself whether it be in TX or LA.

Mandy is the reason that I come here all the way from South Austin. She’s amazing! I’ve been seeing her now for over two years. I LOVE the cuts that she gives… And she’s the first person I’ve trusted to color my hair. Plus, the salon is very reasonable in their pricing! The shop is cute and comfortable… very homey.

My hair cut from Mandy today was great! I had her cut about 6 or 7 inches off and had her input on the specific hair cut/design and I loved it! Salon was just a bit hard to find as I drove past it twice and it is nestled back off the road.
