History

Established in 2004.

Cindy’s Salon and Spa was established in May 2004 by Cindy Richards-​Mizelle. Cindy has 30 years experience in the salon. She worked as a makeup artist doing platform work around the state for the Virginia Cosmetology Association. After that Cindy concentrated on her true passion, haircolor, and became an educator for Wella International. During this time she traveled from salon to salon conducting in-​salon classes. As well as traveling around the region to help conduct seminars and work with some of the worlds top stylists. About 12 years ago Cindy decided to give up the traveling, which was taking alot of time away from family, and proceed to the next phase. 2 years later Cindy’s Salon and Spa came to fruition. Education is, and always will be, very important in staying on top of things. We strive to bring you the very latest in trends and fashion. Also, to bring you exceptional customer service! Cindy grew up all over the world, being brought up in a military family. She was born in Italy and has lived in Turki and Brazil before her father decided to retire at Fort Lee, VA. She loves the diversity of Petersburg and prides herself on being a multicultural salon. Haircolor has always been Cindy’s passion and ensures that every stylist is trained in all techniques. «I like to take the new student and train them in not only color technique but the chemistry as well. A true hair artist should know WHY and HOW a product works the way it does.» We invite all to come into Cindy’s Salon and Spa. There is sure to be a stylist just right for you!
