I love greasy diners. but walk past this one and find another option for breakfast in town. Almost $ 50 for two adults and two little kids — all the sides add up. Everything pretty much out of a box tasting, nothing special, nothing to keep coming back for. You have to ask(and pay) for«real» maple syrup. Staff were friendly, nothing wrong with them, just unsatisfying food.

What a difference! All of the negatives are gone. They’ve made major personnel changes and it shows. It’s now my favorite.

Cute old timey diner, we sat at the counter and had a nice breakfast with waffles and eggs. Servers were friendly and the place was super busy so it was fun to watch the locals interact with each other. One regular patron even got up to help the staff catch up on their side work. Very friendly place.

The reviews are accurate. Cute old diner with average food at best. So many better places to get diner food in these parts, don’t waste the time or the calories on a bunch of pre-packaged, deep frozen junk here.

We love diner food and this was definitely a spot to return to. Everything came out in a timely manner, hot, and correct. The staff was great. Their cornbread is like crack! We’ll be back again, as much as possible.

An OK diner. Food is comforting, but not outstanding. Wait staff is pleasant — a joy. :-) Since the diner is no longer open past 3 pm, we will probably never go back again. Breakfast and lunch times are too crowded. At those times, the diner is noisy, the acoustics are poor. It is hard to hear your company across the table. The Peterborough Diner is a nice stop, but it closes very early!

I absolutely love this place. Sure, it isn’t fancy, but if you want good diner food, this is the place to go. The portion sizes are reasonable, as are the prices, and the onion rings are awesome! I will definitely be coming back!

I ordered a Greek salad and my fiancé ordered the buffalo tenders. The chicken in my salad($ 2.00 add-on) and his tenders were delicious. We got the homemade chocolate cake for desert and that was tasty. Overall we were pleasantly surprised with the food. It’s your typical townie diner. You shouldn’t expect gourmet here! The server was very friendly and it was perfect weather to sit outside at the picnic tables. We were happy and full when we left! We would definitely stop back here the next time we are in the area.

I had a pretty good breakfast at this place. 2 eggs, 2 french toasts and 2 pieces of bacon — service was quick, the food was tasty. Absolutely no complaints.

Being new to the area we decided to try the local diner. We were not disappointed. Our server, Lilly, was awesome. Super friendly and genuine. She gave us some of the local favorites. My wife got the mushroom burger and fries and I got a Turkey Rachel and fries. Food was excellent. The other customers were also very friendly. A «family like» atmosphere.

Wasn’t able to actually eat here. Arrived and a waitress told us to sit at one of the tables in the back. And that’s the last time anyone talked to us. Waitstaff went past us to go to the bathroom, and we saw other people say at booths in the front and served immediately. Ended up leaving and eating at the deli across the street instead.

Word of caution. I came in ordered mons sticks for an app and a meat lasagna for dinner. I was sitting at the bar and witnessed all the cooking. I got my app and the cheese was still hard told the waitress and she stood there looking at me like a deer in headlights… I said I didn’t want them I ordered the baked stuffed mushrooms. Then I see the guy caughing in his hand and then grabing some bread he put aside. He took the lasagna put in the microwave and then when it was done he took the bread and put it with my dinner… I told the waitress I didn’t want the bread and why… she laughed. Then I see the guy take the so called baked stuffed mushrooms and put those in the microwave. I said to the gal if they are baked why the microwave. …she had no answer and supposed to be baked lasagna also which was nuked… this place totally sucked.

Typical greasy spoon diner. Nothing gourmet, but it’s what you’d expect — burgers, grinders, meat-filled sandwiches, and the bacon/eggs/pancake variety. My first visit was 15 years ago, and food is consistently decent. They do NOT serve breakfast all day, which is sad since breakfast options are far better, in my opinion.(Lunch/dinner is pretty greasy and uncreative.) That being said, they do offer gluten-free bread/wrap substitutes, and some unexpected options like sweet potato fries and homemade battered french fries. Some might find this place charming for the old-school diner feel. The«building» is a pretty authentic diner car, and the interior features an original counter and booths, plus a cramped addition with more tables. The service is friendly enough, but food orders aren’t fast — keep that in mind if you’re in a rush!

We had a delicious breakfast of hash and eggs for me and scrambled eggs and a blueberry pancake for her. They were excellent! The pancake had the little Maine blueberries. The hash was perfect and the eggs were too. See photos on Foodspotting.

Great hot food, generous portions, reasonably priced Serves breakfast all day. Very very busy during the standard meal times… like come by 11 for lunch! Outdoor picnic tables for lovely autumn days. Service can be a bit slow but the servers are very friendly. A regular place for me, a date night for spouse. or a chat with friends. Local shops and interests abound.

This is a spot to distract the tourists from where I want to go eat. The food used to be worse. I had breakfast with some co workers and was pleasantly surprised at the improvement, highly edible– per my last visit. I mean I have eaten here throughout my life. Not my first choice, but if other people are going, it is not a deal breaker.

Nice atmosphere — old world diner. Beautiful root beer float. Nice quick service. Food is better than expected and the tuna melt was made with fresh tuna and great buttery crispy bread. Hard to get a better experience in this kind of place.

Are you down with the sickness? This place is pretty lame, they seem popular with the older crowd and in some instances a younger drunkard crowd. Hamburgers on a grill not great for the smell or the taste, the cheese sauce for fries is an abortion. I would say the service is the worst but that is in steep competition with the rest of the crap that you will experience here.
