OK, i am a fan… went once, and i will return. i had the special… a bbq and onion quesadilla. with onion rings. excellent. and, we had the pea soup… also, excellent. the portions are more than generous… we split ours ! the service was SUPERB… makes it a place you want to go to. its like going back in time to an old diner. EVERYTHING is VERYFRESH. Muffins, Breads, and all the food is made to order. i cant wait to go back. The pancakes and texas french toast at the other tables looked out of this world ! can’t wait !

First and last time customer– Heard so many good things from townsfolk about this restaurant. Food was decent. Waitress(older lady w/bracelets, glasses, gray hair) may have been overworked/having a bad day or something, but came off as snappy and rude and ruining the experience for my fiancé and I. Owner was kind w/addressing the issue

OK food. Service was friendly. Ordered an omelette that came with home fries and toast. Omelette was delicious. Home fries had no seasoning. Just deep fried potato cubes. Oh well. At least the rye bread was tasty. Overall, the food was just OK, however the service is very affable. I did notice that my clothes smelled of stale«diner air» the rest of the day. So gross. As an aside, in my opinion, the very best breakfast available in the Monadnock region is served at Fiddleheads in Hancock.

Food was delicious especially the fries. The tables and booths were too small. Was more like a diner than a bakery.

Oh wow! Best breakfast we’ve had, in a long time! The pancakes were so very tasty! Waitstaff was very friendly and prices were a little up there, but very much worth it! Where We live, there aren’t any good food places, and we miss that, so we really appreciate a great food place! To die for veggie egg omelet, too! All real veggies.

If zero stars were an option I would give it ZERO… but one it will need to be. We are not from town and stopped in for breakfast this past Sunday. The place was busy and looked cute– we walked in and there were people waiting to be seated. 1 couple was sat and then there were 3 of us standing there in the doorway. We were opening and closing the door as waitresses brought food out to people outside– the best we got was a side smile. And we stood… waiting… no Hello– no being sat down. We all just STOOD there. After TWENTY minutes of still no acknowledgment of our existence we left. There were empty tables and empty spots at the counter– the people there just didn’t a crap that 5 people(more came after us) were just standing there staring at them waiting to be seated or directed to what needed to happen. While we stood there we listened to a few tables complain about missing drinks or burnt food… meanwhile one waitress was just standing talking about needing pennies and the other was standing in the corner drinking her juice! SOOOOO aggravating! At minimum you GREET customers when they come in– it was as if they were annoyed more customers were there. NO eye contact at all(and the place is small) RUDE!

Friendly first class breakfast place. Really really good food. You absolutely must try the homemade bread toast.

Decent, not my favorite not my least favorite. I will say that the staff is hit and miss, some people are great to deal with some people roll their eyes after everything you say. Home fries are really boring and uninspiring. I remember reading a review that said the toast was really good, well that’s a feather in your cap. There seems to be a little bit of a disconnect for the counter, seems to get lost on who is supposed to wait on you. Looks pretty nice and cozy on the outside a little dumpy and tired on the inside. Eggs Bene are very good, pancakes are can’t miss and the corn beef hash is very good.

My kids and I stopped in for lunch before the Mariposa museum opened at 11. We sat at the counter and waited a ridiculous amount of time before the waitress came back to take our order. She apologized and was nice enough to take our drinks off our bill and the onion rings we ordered. The food was awful. The onion rings came out in one big chunk, my grilled cheese was barely cooked, the soup was watery, and my son’s hot dog was barely cooked. I would not eat there again.

We came for breakfast a few times, and liked it. I thought it was a little slow, and the counter was a little dirty, but the food was good. She remembered us when we came back, which was nice. Good pastries!

2 or 3 stars. Service wasnt the best, just ok. Ordered coffee and the big breakfast. They forgot about the coffee. I had to ask for it. The big breakfast was nothing special. The wheat bread were burnt. The french toast were dry. Uum just ok overall

The restaurant was filthy, the walls, the floor and the waitress poured me a glass of water with 2 gnats. Plates came to the table with the waitresses thumbs in the plate, no tray was used. The food was just ok.

Had lunch here with my Mom and my energetic 5yr old twins. The waitress knew exactly how to deal with us while still be efficient and fast. For simple lunch of chicken ceasar salad, loaded with grilled chix breast, grilled cheese and fries for one of my girls, and a bagel for the other, lobster roll with sweet fresh lobster and fries. It was a good value with kid tolerance in a cute, quaint place. Their muffins looked fantastic, maybe on next trip up.

I love this little gem. It has been around a really long time. My grandfather used to eat here. Ask for the homemade bread, the anadama is amazing, if they have it. You cannot go wrong with the omelets, and they egg dishes. The home fries are a little on the bland side. That is really the only flaw. If you want to be really decadent get the combo breakfasts, and I dare you to eat it all! Or a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. Lunch is good too. The fried chicken cutlet is a home run, with swiss cheese. French fries are okay, not my favorite. Carol and Sue have been making people feel at home for as long as I can remember.

Went there for a third time. Food and service are great. Pretty sure I have always ordered off the specials menu and have not been disjointed! My sandwich came on homemade oat bread.

We were just motoring around NH, decided to get out of the vehicle to walk around the pretty town of Peterborough and are we glad we did! Nonie’s was busy, all the tables outside among the beautiful garden were taken so we went inside and were dazzled by the array of breakfast treats in their window case. The rasberry muffins were the best we ever had(we brought two home) and the blueberry crumble cake was also a delight! Coffee was fresh and served in large mugs, our favorite way to drink it. Everyone in the place was smiling from the waitstaff to the customers. This is a great diner/bakery that served great looking breakfast plates(I watched them go by at quite a clip) and looks like locals give it a thumbs up by the number of people we saw being greeted by name. The owner was very personable and all of the staff we encountered were so nice. We’ll definitely be back whenever we are near there again. :)

Traditional Diner fare in a pretty turn of the century brick building with outdoor seating in good weather. Breakfast is always good, but the lunch items I’ve tried have been great. Very flavourful burgers, good sized burgers rivalling any other specialized restaurants. Really good turkey club sandwiches that are too big for one person to consume and a Ruben sandwich that’s as good or better than I’ve had at any deli or high end restaurant. Great Diner!

Nonie’s breakfast is consistently good. Could there be some improvements? Yes… One example: this morning I had the vegetarian omelet and the«cheese» was some sort of weird, fake cheese sauce but the yummy fresh vegetables definitively redeemed it. The toast was real good but, the real star is the home fries! Every time I have eaten there I end up wishing I had ordered three or four orders of the home fries and nothing else but I always end up forgetting until I start stuffing up my face. Service is super friendly and the outside sitting delightful.

This place screams small-town New Hampshire. From the word scramble on the chalkboard to the menus posted on the wall to the general atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to go for a hot bite to eat and a sense of community. The food is good, prices are reasonable, and the service is great. Mostly, this place is our family’s destination when we want to be part of an interesting crowd. I almost always get the Reuben, which is consistently delicious. Try to hit Nonie’s earlier in the day, as their small size means that they sometimes run out of pastries, soup of the day, etc. Definitely the only waited restaurant in Peterborough worth a visit.
