This is the best high end designer previously owned shop in the Bay Area. If you are looking for the above at a fraction of retail this is the shop for you. It is worth the trip to Petaluma, as she carries the most sought after clothes, purses, shoes and fabulous jewelry. And she has such a great selection that you can make one stop and find most of what you need to add to wardrobe or deck yourself out for that special event. I have shopped their for about 13 years and have really been pleased with the way my wardrobe has evolved into a great array of many fine items. The owner Jan knows her inventory and has a fabulous sense of design, while always being gracious with helping all her customers find just the right addition for their wardrobe. Treat yourself and give yourself time to really find the treasures. You will leave floating on a cloud.

The more I shop here, the more I love it. They let me shop in peace, or help me find the perfect dress for that important occasion. I really appreciate that Jan can style me in ways that photograph well or help me ‘leverage’ a basic piece of clothing into outfits that rock. Items I buy there never let me down. The shop is in the beautiful historical district downtown. It’s adorable but the buildings are very narrow. I usually carry a large tote bag and its really helpful that I can store it behind the counter while I shop.

I had an absolute blast both times I’ve visited Vicki’s Secret! The owner Jan is so personable and warm and the selection is very high end and well edited. I definitely recommend a visit if you are in Petaluma. So fun!

I great little high end consignment shop! Got a great jacket for travel. Much better prices then the high end consignments down in the city. They were very friendly. So glad I went into the store.

The owner(?) or shopgirl couldn’t even be bothered long enough to get off her cell to greet me! Not even so much as a“HI”… I WILLNOTBEBACK — EVER! P. S.: That little chiffon Chanel dress you have hanging by the door… the one you have priced for $ 650…Yeah, the chiffon is ripped in ALL the pin-tucks!!! You’re never going to sell it!!! Just sayin…

This store is both a great place to shop for great designer clothes at a great price as well as a place to sell some items that were mistake purchases that we all have it our closet. The service that I have always received has been very friendly and very helpful. I do not understand some of the negative comments listed below. i have been shopping at this store for a long time.

Well, I really hate to write a horrible review, but looks like they brought it upon themselves. I was in here recently with my mother and my baby. We were just browsing since we’ve heard about this place here and there(mostly because of the name of the business and Victoria’s Secret getting all bothered about it). We strolled in and the woman whom I assume is the owner, gave us the most obligatory«hello» and the look on her face immediately told us she knew we didn’t fit her little clientele profile. Yeah, that’s right – we got«retail profiled»! haha. The store had an overwhelming older woman perfume smell that gave me a headache, and the items were ridiculously priced. I’m sure they’re nice, and I could see they were designed, but for consignment – c’mon. As we left, I said, «thank you!» because that’s what I do to small business owners since not a lot of people do that these days and I try to be nice. Well, I guess it doesn’t matter since her and the other employee went right on jabbering their lips off, not acknowledging us leaving and thanking them for nothing apparently. I will never go back here, and VICKY, if you want to stay afloat in a store full of unnecessaries in the midst of one of the roughest economic times in our history, you better learn to appreciate any inkling of a customer walking into your store. Goodbye.

If you are looking for the ultimate in high-end second-hand clothing, this is the place. It is definately worth traveling to Petaluma for a visit to this treasure trove of bargains! I once found a Chanel dress that was in perfect condition, and fit me like a glove, for a fraction of a fraction of the retail price. This is hands down the best consignment shop I have ever heard of. Designer purses, shoes, jewellery, and of course, clothing are available in great condition at great prices.

So I don’t normally do this but I was so hurt and disappointed with this store that I thought I owed it to others to tell my story. So I put up a pair of shoes and a bag for consignment at the store and opted to pick them up if they didn’t sell, which they didn’t. So when I called to find this information out, I told the owner I would pick them up and she said fine. Well life got busy and I forgot to to pick them up until a little over a month later. So when I finally went to get them the owner told me(in a very rude and cold manner) that she had donated my things and that they don’t have time to call everyone to tell this information. She said I had a week from the time my consignment ended to have picked them up. Well that was the first time I had been told that, and if I had known it would have been more of a priority. The thing that really gets me is that she says she didn’t have time to call(the whole minute it would have taken) when every time I have been in that store there was no one else in it! This woman is rude, condescending, and very lucky to still be in business after all these years. All I can say is she should really get her nose out of the air and pay more respect to her younger clientele considering she is fading fast.

If you want first-class style, great value for your money, and superb service, Vicki’s Secret should be on your go-to list. And now that the economy has us all changing from Fashionistas to Recessionistas, we have even more reason to race to this jewel of a store in Pataluma to pick up fabulous bargains on whatever inspires us, from Chanel to Valentino and everything and anything in between. The selection is amazing — and under the expert eye of owner Jan Mettner, nothing hits the racks if it isn’t in super condition. I’ve been consigning my high-end designer clothing, shoes and accessories to Vicki’s Secret ever since this first-class operation started six years ago. Jan Mettner runs the most beautiful consignment shop I’ve ever seen(and as a registered fashion and shopping maven, I’ve seen them all!) She knows her fashion and prices things fairly so that both consignors and buyers leave with smiles on their faces and stunning fashion on their backs. Like many of Jan’s other consignors, I’ve been known to flip through the racks of clean, sweet-smelling clothing(no musty second-hand Rose aromas here!), organized by designer(you might think you were in Neiman’s!) and pick up something for myself at the same time I’m dropping off my old goodies for sale. The selection is irresistible — and the service is superb. Jan will even drive into San Francisco to pick up your offerings after a big closet purge. Who could ask for anything more? That’s why smart shoppers flock here from all around the Bay Area. Kudos to Jan for filling a need for the fashion hungry.

love the play on names. victoria’s secret. vicky’s secret. probably the reason why i walked in. always had noticed it really cute things. but you’ll have to dig a bit to find what you want. but i think it’s worth it when you’re looking for some designer names.
