Super Nails

I’ve been here three times now. Each time I get scolded for «picking at my nails» when I absolutely never do that. Their polish chips within a day or two after getting them painted. I did get gel one time which lasted, but their regular polish is not even worth the money. I left with dirt still under my fingernails that she did not clean out. I won’t be returning here.

If u can give zero stars I would. Got my wife a mother’s day mani pedi and daughter regular mani pedi. Save your money don’t go. Couldn’t give same price just kept talk in Vietnam ran card 3 times void from $ 132 to $ 73. Mt wife left with a mani used own polish because wanted to over charge to use opi infinity shine. No pedicure ladies where all over and couldn’t give me one set price. Daughter 14 years old pedi was done in 10 min. Charged $ 32 and mani was $ 22 her nail was nice but felt like I was taken for my money. If you have time or want to spend the money on your lady go to a place in the city san francisco called Boniva Nails! It looks like a whole in the wall but I tell you it will be the best place you will go back over and over. Top notch serive and work is amazing. Bounce water and little cookie I’d they don’t run out. Book way ahead and get 15 min early small familyowned.

Never disappointed when I come to super nails. The ladies are all very nice and welcoming and my nails always look amazing. Won’t ever go anywhere else!

They are the WORST – I got an infection in my big toe from a pedicure I got there last Thurs – now I have a doctor bill & a bill for antibiotics.
When I called to speak to the owner – she was out – the person I spoke with wanted my name & time of appt – I was a «walk-​in» and tried to explain that none of that was important – what was important was that they STERILIZE their utensils!!!
She said she would tell the owner — –no offer of compensation for all the expenses I have incurred due to them…
DO NOT go to this salon…

Probably my worst pedicure experience. I will never return here ever again! I had to ask to get a base coat before my nail polish. Removed my gel with a clip instead of soaking. One star is generous and that is for courtesy. They also have a basic and small selection of nail color. Look elsewhere.

I have been a loyal customer here for 20 years. I have used many services through the years, and I tip well. The quality of care here has definitely gone downhill; in fact, it is abysmal.
I have tolerated the long waits and their «forgetting» to return my nail polish. I have tolerated their sometimes brusque manner and painful pedicures. In the past, they have done a nice job.
Today I walked in and they were busy, so I expected to wait. I was seated in the spa chair at the end, where they store things. There were 8 other customers, and 4 manicurists. After a half hour of waiting with my feet in now-​cold water, I caught the eye of one who moved a chair over, and had me take my feet out of the water. She then proceeded to assist another client, a walk-​in, who came in after me.
An hour had now gone by. I gathered my things and walked to the door. No one even looked up until the door opened and my manicurist said, «oh, sorry». I just said that I had to go.
Skip «Super Nails». There is too much competition out there to settle

Horribly run down and dirty. I came for a gel mani and a pedi, once I sat down I knew there was NO way I was getting my nails done here.
Dealt with the pedi, unfortunately — will have to go to my regular place to get it fixed :(

I will never go here again! Bad service, extremely dirty, long wait and they will hurt you.
I came here with gel on my nails and wanted to get a new gel polish.
First they wrapped my nails with acetone and tin foil, and left me for over 20 MINUTES.
My nails started to curl inward and hurt really badly. Then, she did not clean her hands or any of the materials she was working with! She came straight to me and did not even try to be hygienic. Next, she applied the gel to my nails without filing the nail or prepping at all! Everyone knows, if you don’t prep the nail correctly it will lift… It burned when I placed my nails under the lamp and she just laughed.
It seemed like no one really knew how to do nails! A simple gel manicure turned into a painful, risky situation. Everything in this place is absolutely disgusting.
Speaking of risky, they went in between customers to save time! They would switch from one person to another, no gloves and no hand washing. The tools were not clean and the floors were filthy. I would NEVER recommend this place, and I wish I would have seen the Unilocal!page first but it was a spontaneous thing, I didn’t have my phone.
I hope this place does something about their nail techs and their quality of environment, and hygiene practices, someone will get sued once there’s an infection! Oh and did I mention they were waxing people at the same time they were doing their nails?! I’m laughing as I type this because it sounds completely unreal! Sadly, it was the harsh reality for me on this horrible spontaneous day.
AND they charge me $ 34 for gel they did incorrectly, it peeled off a week later.
I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from this place! Most people will regret it :(.

We used to come here and they were pretty good, so I was wondering what the low rating was all about. So we came to get manicures. Man, I wish I would have timed it, because that manicure MUST have been under 5 minutes. She barley filed them, she didn’t buff them, and she kept messing up the paint and rubbing it off with her gloved finger. It was so weird. The lotion application would have been done better by my 11 month old. Welp, I won’t be back.
Edit: I forgot to add that I hated their nail polish color option. They only had about 20 OPI colors, and a bunch of brands I have never seen… (OPI is my favorite because it stays the longest) and they were all in the mid tone pink and red. I was looking to get a brighter coral and mint combination, and there was nothing even close. During the five minutes of my manicure, I noticed that they did have a lot more options in shellac. But I will absolutely not go back to try to shellac.

I have been coming to this salon since I moved to Petaluma a few months ago. I found this place to be the most convenient, so I kept returning despite the non-​relaxing atmosphere, and the old broken massage chairs. I figured whatever, they get the job done.
Then one day I opted for the Hawaiian pedicure, and they brought out their hot stones for the massage in a crock pot and fished them out with a big metal spoon. Okay, I thought. That’s weird but whatever.
I came in for an acrylic manicure a few weeks ago and they were so rough, my fingers were sore for days after. With a pedicure this cost me 80 $ without tip.
Well, yesterday is the last day I will ever visit. The ladies were rushed and rude, despite there only being three people in the salon including me. I got a deluxe pedicure for 45 $(not incl. tip). The woman who worked on me was so rough with the callous removal she caused a blister that was probably forming to get way worse. I even cried out in pain and she didn’t even flinch. I had to ask her to please stop killing my toe. As soon as I made it to my car, it got red and was extremely dry and rough. Now, it’s throbbing and I had to put a band aid on it. Oh, did I mention my nail polish totally cracked all around the edges as well?
Save yourself and go somewhere else. It’s not worth the pain.

This place is VERY basic, and I get the feeling their elderly clients from the surrounding senior homing facilities keep them afloat. First off: rude. Second: Absolute worst pedicure I have ever received. Barely scrubbed my feet, gave me attitude about taking gel off my toenails, no rubs, no nothing. Then, they took off my acrylics with snipping tools! Ouch! Everyone knows you slide a plastic fingernail underneath it and it pops right off. Barbaric and torturous.
The worst pedicure I have ever had, plus the torture with a new gel topcoat was $ 81! Rip off!

Despite all the not so nice reviews I absolutly LOVE this place and their friendly staff. They are super attentive and aways fix the little things.

Overcharging! I should have read the reviews before coming here. I came in because it’s my sister’s prom in 3days, we happen to be in Petaluma after getting my car fixed, I was abt to do a fill, because I had pink and whites she was going to charge me extra for the fill. I have been getting my nails done for 15 years. You are charging me extra for pink powder??? Over clear regular powder ??? Why? I know pink and whites are more expensive initially because it’s time consuming and precise but just to lay down some regular non white, non technique powder I get charged extra! I looked at her and said «no thanks, just for regular fill like any other you’re going to charge me more, you aren’t putting any white on, no precise technique?» And she seemed upset after I refused and just waited for my sister! Never again! Plus they were so rude because soon after they talked about me in their language as they looked at me! Probably pissed I caught up to their ridiculous over charging. I’ll stick to my regular nail salon!

I have been coming to this salon for over ten years and find them to be very attentive. Normally have them do mani/​pedi and am pleased with both. While I have had all if the girls work on my fingers/​toes, I really recommend Tami.
Great selection of color. When I am trying to match a color for special events, they are really good at making the match.

The inconsistency is extreme. One visit will be perfect and the next it could be a mess. The only convenient aspect of this place is accepting walk-​ins and being fairly priced. Acrylics have lifted after a week once, and the next time they stayed for a month. It’s a gamble with every visit.

Wish I could give zero stars. Their pedicures are terrible! My feet feel the exact same as when I walked into the salon.

I went in this afternoon for a pedicure, and an eye brow wax. When I walked in, there were 2 technicians, and 2 customers. I was told to pick a color, and to have a seat in one of the chairs. They turned the water on HOT, and just let it run in the tub.
Also, as some of the other people have posted, they are fast. WAY TO FAST. You can’t do a thorough job in in the amount of time it took them to do my pedicure. She kept getting polish on my skin, and didn’t put a final clear coat on my nails. Then she rushed me over to the chair for my eye brows.
I asked about the clear coat on my toes, and she said, «we do after». Well, you should have finished it, so while I’m getting my eye brows done, my toes could be drying. She rushed through my brows as well. The wax was extremely hot, and burned my skin.
Overall…not a great experience. I wont be returning.

Unless your wallet is packed I wouldn’t go to this nail salon! I went in for a pink mani pedi for my sister’s wedding and this is my first pedicure. First of all, despite no one being there, It was rushed. They kept trying to sell me, offering more things for an extra 5 $ which upset me alone. They only put one coat on my toes and then when I went for a manicure they charged me an extra 5 $ to take off 5 of my acrylic which is fine, I can deal with it. What I can’t deal with is them telling me it’s an extra 5 $ for them to do my cuticles! That is suppose to be apart of a manicure! So I payed 40 $ for a mani pedi that chipped the next day. My sister paid 62 $ for acrylic nails and a pedicure. They either rush or are way slow. They were very nice but that is all I can say positively. Also they have a large color selection but that is all.

I have been going to this place since junior high. I consider myself pretty well rounded when it comes to nail salons. I have lived in the East Bay and have had my nails done all over the bay area.
With that said Super Nails is pretty damn good. The reason I stick to this place is a simple one… THEY STAY ON. That’s about it really.
The cons? They’re a bit expensive (for a typical nail shop) with a full set + french running around $ 30 – 38 — and that’s just acrylic!
They are also busy a lot. So wait times can be ridiculous… so I suggest getting an appointment or arriving early when they open.
A good thing to note is that they are open 7 days a week, and on weekdays they are open until 8:00pm.
