We were looking for a bait shop on the way to the ocean. They had a great selection of tackle and bait. The clerk gave us some great locations to try and was very friendly. We will come here every time we are going ocean fishing.

Just a bit of history about this place: Was originally operated by Jack Gilardi and was called Gilardi’s bait and tackle. It also had a small part in George Lucas’ first movie American Graffiti where Toad goes to buy some«essentials» just thought it was a funny part in the movie. Now it’s know as Scotty’s Market and Petaluma Sports and Dive Center. Please stop by and buy some bullheads and pile worms on your way to Bodega Bay! Check out the gun shop: Sportsman’s Arms next door and also Pats rv repair. I think Mike runs it now. Pat is no longer with us R.I.P. dude.

If you’re en route to the Sonoma coast to do some angling or diving and realized that you forgot a component of your needed gear or if you’re like me and have a difficult time fighting the urge to stop at any damn fishing shop, then this is a great place to quench that inkling. This shop has a good array of gear, decent prices and it’s in a convenient location along the way. Heck, I even found some difficult to find and discontinued Trout lures for fishing in the Sierras. LOL!

I’ve bought red worms for my worm bin from all sorts of specialty places, including Sloat Nursery and people who breed them. But they never really reproduced or ate much. So here I am in a bait shop and on a whim I spend 2 bucks on a small container of them — these worms are happy campers in my worm bin, eating and making tons of babies.

small, convenient and always good service. they always check to make sure that(most of) the jumbo red worms are still alive and always have enough in stock. i don’t really shop for anything else but worms, but i did look around and saw some very nice inventory. thanks for the wrigglers.
