The classroom environment in Petaluma Preschool is open, inviting to children and families, and there are many well-​thought-​out areas which invite the children to explore and learn through everyday play activities and which offer endless opportunities to develop the many skills that will help support them as they grow and change.

The staff at Petaluma are wonderful teachers, each bringing their own individual style and talents to their work — they are caring, nurturing, experienced teachers who understand the way that children learn — through play — and who provide the kind of experiences that foster language skills, social competency, cognitive learning, and healthy living through curriculum planning and role modeling.

Meet the Manager

Tracy W.

Manager

Site Supervisor Tracy Williams began her Early Childhood education at the age of 19, and has been a part of the Early Childhood Community in many different ways since then (1974). While currently the Site Supervisor at the 4cs Healdsburg site, Tracy has worked for years as a teacher, Lead Teacher, and Mentor and taught for over 20 years at one site in Marin before returning to school to finish her degree.

Married with three grown daughters (all of whom attended the preschool where Tracy taught), Tracy and her family decided to move to Sonoma County, where a friend suggested she look into employment opportunities at 4cs. Tracy worked for over two years as a teacher in the toddler room at Old Elm in Petaluma before taking on the Site Supervisor position at Petaluma Preschool, and Tracy has been known to say, «I still can’t believe that I get to work here.»
