Gordon Nichols Carpentry

Gordon worked what is nothing short of carpentry magic in our tiny RV home. He is calculated and takes time with his work, we will call him for any woodworking needs we come across in the future!

Gordon is a great guy.
I recently called him about some work, but he was busy at the time I needed so I wont be able to use him, but his customer service and demeanor was very professional and pleasant. I hope to use him in the future.

We hired Gordon to help us out with some cabinetry needs. What a refreshing experience. He promptly returned emails and phone calls, showed up when he said he would, and provided a clear, detailed contract. On top of that, he’s a true craftsman, helping us with design ideas and making complex tweaks for our quirky old house. The end result is beautiful.
He’s also pleasant to work with, and his pricing is fair. I’d hire him again without any hesitation.

Gordon took care of two projects for us. One was a beautiful L-​shaped breakfast nook bench seat with storage. The detail is amazing. Much more than I thought we would get and well worth the cost over the premade breakfast nook seating we saw. We’ll post some pictures soon.
The second project was a built in desk in our bedroom. There was a window seat we used for nothing but a laundry folding area. Since my wife works from home most of the time we thought a built in desk was a much better use of the space. Once again Gordon did a great job. The desk is great and is exactly what he sketched out for us during the bidding process.
Gordon wasn’t the most expensive and wasn’t the least expensive option but he was definitely the best option. We already have him slated for one more project. Probably not until 2012 but we will be calling again. If you have a finishing carpentry project (s) do yourself a favor. Go check out his website and give him a call. Gordon is an excellent carpenter. He is a true craftsman, and he takes great care with his projects. He works with his clients to come up with an appropriate design that will be aesthetically pleasing. He is knowledgeable about all sorts of materials, including paints, adhesives, etc. He’s also good at communication; he was great at things like letting us know when he would start and finish a project, and how long he thought it would last. He offered advice but always provided room for us to make up our own minds about things. He was a pleasure to work with.
I would recommend him to anyone and I will hire him again the next time I find myself in need of a carpenter.
