We offer a unique location in Petaluma where we teach the art of Fly Tying. You will learn how to create your own flies that can be used to catch the fish of a lifetime.

We also offer guided Fly Fishing trips on the Truckee River as well as introductory classes for those who are interested in learning the basics of fly casting and fishing.

Established in 2000.

Fly Tying Specialties began from a passion for fly tying and the need to supply fly tiers with unique materials. We specialize in hard to find tying and fishing products from around the world.

I started Fly Tying Specialties after realizing that many of the unique materials that were available overseas were not being brought into the United States. These products are on the cutting edge of the fly tying world and will help you create the best looking and most durable flies that are proven to catch fish. I enjoy sharing my knowledge to others and helping those that want to experince this great sport in all it’s various ways.
