Enclave At Adobe Creek

This has got to be without a doubt the most shady establishment I’ve ever rented from. If you enjoy being nickel and dimed, then this is your spot!
Pros: convenient location, small gym and pool. However, the gym and pool always have kids running around and congregating so it’s not necessarily the most pleasant of experiences. Also, there is usually something «under maintenance» so you typically don’t get all amenities at once.
Cons: where do I start? Let’s put it this way, there is so much stuff I could list that I will stick to the worst parts! First off, they love towing cars… even from the visitors parking where one isn’t illegally parked! That will run you around $ 300 so be warned with family and friends who park there. Second, we had a bat in our apartment — TWICE! There was little to nothing done and Zero sense of emergency! I flipped a lid not only because it’s absolutely disgusting but I have a newborn. My outrage and constantly contacting management was the only reason actions were taken. We had to get rid of the bats on our own AND reach out to management twice before we had any kind of effort put in to securing the property. When pest control finally came, they were kind enough to inform me that this has and is a continued issue with Enclave and that many tenants have bat issues. So keep that in mind! Nothing like a bat call to wake up to in the middle of the night! I didn’t sleep for weeks. Also, do not plan on getting a security deposit back at the end of your shitty stay! They will list anything and everything at their walk through and even come back to you stating you owe more money! God willing you have to live here, be present at the walk through. Take pictures before you exit and question EVERYTHING! This place is running scams up and down on people. Make sure you have everything in writing so you have proof at the end. They will claim some kind of bogus «proof» as to why you owe or why you won’t get a return with zero validity. Lastly, if you need to speak with a manager and you get Jennifer, run for the hills!!! She is careless and rude and doesn’t give a flying eff about you, your family or your stay at enclave!
The best thing about this place is its so terrible that you will never be more motivated to save for a house of your own!

Worst place to rent, first off it’s overpriced for what you get. Second, there are so many dogs in this complex that people literally have non stop barking going on, third, there’s also a number of people that sit outside in their cars honking at all hours of the night and morning, literally get woken up constantly, it’s not even just one unit it’s a few that have no respect for others. Also they have gardeners that make a ton of noise every other day at 7am. I would NOT recommend renting here. It’s full of low class people who don’t know respect.

This is our second time living in Enclave Apartments and we absolutely love everything and everyone here. First off it is by far the most affordable place to live in Petaluma especially with all of the emenities included. The Clubhouse, Fitness center and many Pools are beautifully kept and always a hot spot for my girlfriend, her kids and myself. Ask for Maria she is awesome and someone who truly cares about the families living here.

Don’t move there. It seems like they like to tow your car for fun and without a warning. Security is is better at towing your car than at actually patrolling the place. They have angered many tenants with this. It’s the worst.

Business Center they display on website not working for 5 months. All computers have all kinds of problems with them, now permanently closed!!!

I have been waiting to write this review to see if my feelings softened since we moved out. Unfortunately they have not.
First off, for the prices they charge it is not worth it. Most of the time the so called amenities are unusable. More than once the hot tub in the pool area was closed for multiple days for cleaning because some child defecated in it. The rule states that children under 14 are not allowed in it but babies, toddlers and young children are in it all the time.
Secondly, the rules state that the community in No Smoking. There is no smoking of any kind allowed anywhere on the property. This rule is never enforced either. I saw residents and employees smoking on the property all the time. A big complaint I had was that our next door neighbor smoked marijuana constantly in their unit. Since the units are town houses, the stench of the smoke filled our unit as well and was the worst in our year old daughters room. When I complained about this nuisance I was informed that they would write a letter to the tenant. This was no help, and I complained further and still nothing was done. The neighbor believed that since they had a med card they could smoke. Finally after dealing with this for six months they finally moved out because the complex would not renew their lease.
Third, the grassy areas are not usable for anything since they water constantly. Even though we are in a drought the water is on the grass every night. To alleviate concerns about the drought they put up signs saying that the water comes from a well. Unfortunately this is just as bad. Well water is replenished by rain and snow fall, it is not inexhaustible. If they would water a quarter as much as they do, the grass would still be as green and the soil would not be soaked and mushy and the green areas would be more usable. Furthermore they way they bill for water, everybody pays for all the water used by everybody and the complex so the residents pay for this overwatering.
Our overall experience was horrible. They office staff are a bunch snake oil salesmen. They tell you what you want to hear and then do nothing. The community director is less than professional to be kind. I want to use other words to describe her but I will not use profanity in my review. I wish I would have read the Unilocal and Facebook posts prior to moving in. If we had we would have moved elsewhere. If I could give zero stars I would.

These apartments are a disappointment. They’re fucken nasty as fuck because they’re rats and cockroaches inside the apartments!!! Gross right? They say it’s an amazing place but this place isn’t! The rent is hella pricey. There’s poop everywhere because of the fucken rats. I clean my apartment every damn day and When I wake there’s poop again! Gross! Rather be sleeping homeless!

UPDATE!
I’ve been here almost 4 months now… I feel that I have a better idea now of the community. First and foremost, this place has lost 2 stars since I’ve lived here because of four reasons:
1. The grounds usually have lots of trash buildup that takes forever to be cleaned. I thought there was someone who would keep the grounds clean regularly but apparently not. I’ve walked by the same doggie poop bags laying on the ground for 3 weeks straight. I didn’t report them because I wanted to see how long it would sit there before maintenance cleaned it up. I was very disappointed because I really was rooting for this place and the staff. In addition, lots of people have animals that use the backyards as their bathroom and some people don’t clean it up. This leaves a very unpleasant odor while you walk about the community.
2. I found out this place was previously a low income community. I have nothing against low income communities, but I do believe this should be discussed prior to moving in… The apartments haven’t been remodeled, just slightly renovated, cleaned with laminated «wood» floors (they are not real wood).
3. More trash diggers. I’ve found multiple people nowadays rummaging through the trash looking for bottles. I like that they are recycling, however, it is really unsettling that someone could be going through my mail thrown out, or personal items. There is a sign for no trash digging, but I don’t feel the rules are enforced here.
4. KIDS run rampant. Although they say you need a key to go to the gym, pool and other amenities, that is false. Doors are left open, children run through the gyms, laundry rooms and pool area. There have been nights where I’m working out in the gym and kids are hanging out by the pool with no supervision. I am so annoyed by this because it is extremely dangerous!!! In addition, kids will come into the gym, hangout and PLAY on the equipment! Sheesh, all of this is extremely dangerous. Wish they would enforce using the keys and lock the doors.
As for the townhouse, everything is OK. The staff is still NICE to talk to, they always wave and they are very polite. I just wish they would enforce rules and take better care of the community.
I WILL UPDATE this review in the next few months, I hope that Enclave reads these Unilocal reviews and decides to take care of the issues.

Worst apartment complex. no parking cause everyone parks their spare cars and more and the office doesn’t do a thing. utilities are extremely outdated. you pay for everyones utilities.

Beware! The management practices at this complex are despicable! I’m not saying that the folks who work in the management office are horrible — they are not. However, if you are considering living here, be forewarned — you will NOT get your security deposit back, and I don’t care how OCD you are about cleaning up after yourself. They will nickel and dime you to death.
I am assuming that the 42 page lease is legal, however, they have found loopholes to charge renters for every single penny of what would be considered «normal wear and tear.» They charged us $ 135 for cigarette smoke removal — we were in the apartment for only 2 months, total, and neither us, nor any of our guests lit a SINGLE cigarette, or any other combustible, the entire time we were there! 0. None. Not once. NEVER. We could not get them to remove the charge. And on and on it went… Just be aware of this prior to renting.

Enclave is a wonderful place to live. Maria is a wonderful lady to work with in the office. Everyone is responsive and personable and maintenance resolves issues quickly. If you are considering Enclave as your new home, see Maria in the office. She is highly professional, positive, and actually cares about your well-​being and happiness.
I couldn’t ask for a better place for my children and myself to live.

Probably the worst apartment complex I’ve lived in. Apartments are extremely small and very overpriced (do not believe the prices listed online, they are usually a couple hundred dollars more). Management claims that one does not need air conditioning in Northern California– maybe not for properly insulated/​quality buildings. Depending on the unit, the temperature on a hot day can rise to the 80’s inside the apartment despite multiple fans. Maintenance is lazy– expect to wait a while for something to be fixed properly. Washer/​dryers are in poor condition and often don’t work and people are often inconsiderate and leave laundry sitting in the appliances for long periods. Expect to step in dog poop because most people do not clean up after their dogs and let their pets run around off leash, even those that are not well trained or socialized. Watch your car like a hawk– I swear the towing company drives around looking for cars to tow.
Because they know how frequently people realize that they wish they’d never leased an apartment here, it’s too late once you have signed a lease. Enclave charges a $ 3200 lease breaking fee. They also charge fees for every little thing. Be prepared for paying pet rent ($ 35 per pet unless they are a bigger dog then it’s more) as well as a pet deposit. You will also be sharing the water bill with the rest of the building you are in so hope your neighbors don’t waste water.
I normally don’t write reviews; however, if I can save someone from making the same mistakes I did then it will be worth it.

I moved into Enclave at the end of 2013. I can honestly say this is the happiest and safest I have felt in years. The apartments are funky and have lots of personality. The complex is clean and well taken care of. The gals in the office, Maria, Terri, Jessica and Jennifer are all amazing and always helpful!
I have never lived in an apartment and had fears of just being a number. Not so here. Each person is treated as family! The maintenance crew is exceptional, kind and all over the problem at hand so that you don’t have the problem longer than you need to.
Parking is Now not a problem! They hired an awesome company to make certain that all the vehicles belong here.
Security is always on premise. I take my dog out at all hours… Never have worried or been scared .

We started off in a one bedroom here at Adobe Creek and loved it. We now live in a 2bdroom 1.5 bath and I have to say, I love it. It’s got a little ghetto feel to it, but overall the renovated townhouse inside, is awesome. The pricing is a bit steep, but I’m still impressed with the overall feel of the townhouse, nice job Jennifer! The manager is a doll.
If you don’t mind living close to diverse people, this is the place for you, it’s a nice complex and there is alot of life here!

Stay away at all costs or trust me you will regret it! Me and my girlfriend have been living there for regretfully 2 ½ years thanks to not being able to afford ending our lease early when a new place did come available and them exploding your rent if you choose to do month to month. We have been the model tennants… never late on rent… spent over $ 1000 to re-​landscape our backyard as it was a dogshit infested yard when we moved in… fixed broken kitchen drawers ourselves after giving the
maintenance crew 3 to 4 attempts without success… and dealing with out of control kids fighting in our front yard almost daily and ringing our doorbell then running away almost every day for 3 months. Finally the last straw was after coming home late from work a non resident was parked in my assigned spot leaving me the option of parking in visitor parking… checking every 2 hours to see if it was gone. Finally after 10pm i had to go to sleep as i had to work early the next morning i wake up to find my truck was the one towed and not the visitor in my assigned parking spot. I called the tow company and like a prior review had stated were a bunch of a**holes charged me $ 355.00 to get my truck back. Are you effing kidding me??? This place is a damn joke and treat visitors to this hellhole better than their tenants. Not to mention them leaving notices on your door every few months to tell you they are going to enter your residence to check this and check that and stating they are not responsible if their maintenance people steal anything… is this even legal??? I will be calling their main office to file a complaint but my guess is that will get me nowhere.

Enclave at Adobe Creek is a wonderful place to live in Petaluma. When you want to come over to take a look at finding a new home, see Maria in the Management Office. Maria is highly professional, positive, empathetic and actually cares about your well-​being and happiness. It’s also PET friendly!
The townhouse Maria found for me is very spacious, has plenty of light, a terrific private patio and the condition upon move-​in was immaculate.
Also, the security at Enclave is superb. I always feel safe here and know that safety is a priority here.

It is definitely an awful place to live. The apartment are not updated like there rates that seem to changes every few months. When we first move in our apartment it was infested with fleas. Which was not rectified until weeks later after numerous complaints to management.
The cabinets are falling off there hinges and parking is impossible due to other complex that has two families living in one complex unit with four cars. Also, be aware of parking w/​o unmarked row of available parking. Your car will be tow if you are not a resident and have guest over for the night. It seem like the apartment complex has a package deal with the towing company because my guest parked her car and was tow the following morning. To top it off when she picked up her car there was four other visiting guest that had there car tow also. A warning letter would have been nice instead of towing it right away.
Be aware of Enclave at Adobe Creek. The management and the front desk ladies, lack people skills and definitely in it to rent out a unit and have you sign a 50 pages contract and when any issues arise they will reiterate that it is in contract. There are plenty of apartment complex.

I have lived here for almost a year and have had some up and downs. My first few months here I kept receiving past due notices even though I handed the rent checks to them in person every month! This went on for four months! The facilities were never working correctly and have destroyed many of my clothes. The management is not personable and will hardly give you the time of day, if they do it’s poorly done and with little effort. The final straw was when my friends car got towed and the cost to get it out was $ 380!!! Why? Because the management had the security go around and give a one hour notice to move at 12:30am on a Wednesday! Plus the towing company they contract with are a**holes (sorry about my language). I will not be renewing my lease and encourage one to really consider this place before renting from them.

Toured this property and was immediately helped by the manager, Terri. She was very polite and helpful, and was able to answer all of our questions thoroughly. The property itself is very large– nearly 500 units! The largeness of the property, for us, counted against it.
Despite being quite large, the property is fairly up to date and includes 5 pools, a nicer fitness center, and several laundry facilities, as well as business center an café for resident use.
Ultimately everything looked nice, and the price was okay, but frankly there were way too many kids around– teenagers loitering all over the property, scowling at potential residents and generally looking belligerent outside and hanging all over the business center inside, using Facebook and MySpace, etc.
While kids are residents too and entitled to use the same facilities, the overall feeling was just that all of these kids were unattended and made the office itself feel like an unofficial babysitter. Not the kind of property I’m looking for, personally.
If you have a family, this place may be more your style. Floor plans are nice, pricing is okay, and employees were very polite and helpful.
