They have reopened with new owners. Very friendly! They make a nice sandwich and I will go back for lunch again. They have a eating area inside and out. Plenty of parking as well. Good cold beverage selection for all ages.

We were lucky that one of the best places in town also happened to be one of the closest. They’ve recently kicked up the deli section a few notches, now featuring a tri-tip grill and extensive menu of awesome sandwiches, soup, and salad. The food is reason enough to go there. The menu also says that they deliver during certain hours of the day, though I haven’t had a chance to try it out. The people running this place are extremely friendly; possibly the friendliest I’ve met in this town so far. Great selection of everything from wine(actually, AMAZING selection of wine) to hard liquor, and plenty of drinkin’ snacks to choose from as well.

I love Charley’s. The sweet couple who owns and works full time here are adorable. They always chat me up, ask me how my weekend was, what party I’m going to :) and are just all around nice people. I much prefer to go to a convenience store owned by nice people than, say, the 7 Eleven on D street and Petaluma Blvd. I find they have a good selection of beer and wine, and are very open to suggestions on what to carry. They’re stocking some natural teas because I asked them to(so of course now I go in more often to make sure they don’t sit in the cooler for a year). It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but let’s be honest– 99.9% of everything sold at a convenience store is packaged and sealed already, so that’s pretty irrelevant. I’ll keep coming back for the friendly owners, the good selection, and the convenient location.

Charley’s is where I go when we run out Diet Coke at work. I am not addicted, but I do love my 2pm Diet Coke time. Charley’s is a very unassuming liquor store from the outside, so imagine my surprise when I first walked in to get a Diet Coke and saw how much liquor they have! There is a WHOLEROOM devoted to wine. Did you see that… a WHOLEROOM. And they have tons of hard alcohol, a decent beer selection, plus they make sandwiches and have all the candy/snacks/sodas you can imagine. Now I get kind of excited when we run out of Diet Coke, cause then I get an excuse to stare at all the labels. ps– This place is spelled Charley’s, so I sent Unilocal and update.
