Blush

I make an effort to shop local and avoid big box stores — but I can’t afford to shop at a business that has a no return policy on an obviously defective product. Not a pricey object — just a nail polish that was old or something. I tried to exchange it 2 days after I purchased it but that’s not an option — also something that should be clearly indicated near the cash register. Oh well — I can get most of this cheaper online or at Target.

I have heard good things about this place, however my experience was not good.
They close at 6pm. It was a Saturday night and my little cousin and I got this last minute, crazy, fun idea and really wanted to get our ears pierced together! We heard that Blush was the best place and it would be quick and easy with a piercing gun, which they have.
So we ran over there from her house downtown area and got there at 5:45pm. There was no customers and 3 workers standing around talking. We ran in there, out of breath all excited and happy, like «we really wanna get our ears pierced super quick pleassseeee, can you guys do it ?!» We got a quick «we don’t do piercings after 5pm «with some frowns and rude faces. (Doesn’t say that anywhere on the website). We were so bummed, even my aunt came in and nicely asked «can you guys maybe just make an exception ?» Still «no’s» and rude attitudes, like «get out of here so we can close» attitudes.
I’m 28. I’ve worked with customers my whole life with various customer service/​food jobs. I know how you should treat a customer. It was kind of embarrassing that these 3 grown women were so rude. I might understand if they were busy or whatever but there was no one in the store. Like, wouldn’t you rather make probably $ 100 for the business PLUS some tips, and stay a few minutes late???
Anyways maybe it was a good thing cause we went down the street to a professional piercer and got it done. And she said piercing guns are really bad and unsanitary and hold in bacteria etc. note: She was also on her way home, but stayed late for us and made our nights! And she made a couple hundred bucks.
Bummed that that was my first and only experience and Blush and I’ll probably never go back there and I’ll tell people about the crappy attitudes/​service we got.

Wow, fantastic customer service here today! The woman who helped me explained several differences in eyeliner, provided a rewards card, and also shared that there is another Blush store called the Blush Collection down the way where they sell shoes, clothes, and jelewry. I also went to the Blush Collection and bought a pair of slippers that were 50% off! Yay! The rewards card works at both stores, and I will be back!

I would give it a 4 star, but the only thing that really lacks is the «young» women are forgetting that they too will be old-​er someday. The more mature women I always prefer to be assisted by, and they are very helpful. The store is cute and right in town and they have many brands. So minus the little snobby girls – it’s good.

Kat put some funky colors in my hair about a month ago and it’s still looking like I had it dyed just yesterday.
She is super personable, friendly, affordable, and I’d recommend her to anyone.

I love this place, they carry everything you may want or need when it comes to hair products and makeup. The staff is always friendly and its always clean in here. They have another location 6 stores down called Blush Collections which is very fun with accessories for women. I love them both! I needed shampoo and conditioner and ran in and noticed they were out. Nancy, the owner approached me and said she would call and see if it was coming in today. I said okay and went to grab a bite to eat. I came back 25 minutes later to the shampoo and conditioner on hold for me behind the counter! How nice, thank you so much. I bought those, which is the It’s a 10 keratine line. Its absolutely fabulous, I really love it. I also bought a great smelling Philosophy perfume too. They put their customers first and I appreciate that.

Really impressed with the selection and helpfulness of the staff. I needed a few makeup items and the sales associate was more than happy to assist me and answer my questions.
I was also pleased that once I got my purchases home and tried them out they were in fact what I had requested, so the associate’s recommendations were spot on.
The loss of one star is simply because of their return policy, which I do understand, but it makes me a bit hesitant. It states no returns what-​so-​ever of makeup. Most places will return/​exchange makeup items, used or not, if it doesn’t meet your expectations. I think this is especially important when you’re paying for premium items. So I will just be careful when I shop here that I’m 100% sure about my purchase.
They carry many lines I’m a fan of; Dermalogica, Murad, OPI, Smashbox, and tons more.

So, I’m a guy. I go to blush (Max specifically) to get my hair cut. I moved to Petaluma from a town where I was good friends with the best hair stylist in town. It was hard going from that to Petaluma. I had tried a lot of the «high end» salons in town and was never at all impressed. One day I was in desperate need of a hair cut and stumble across Max, who had an opening. I had never been so impressed with the level of care given to a guys haircut. He is very knowledgable, skilled, and just a great guy! I am a life time client now and every grateful for that day where I stumbled in to his masterful hands!

Lots of options but little sulfite free options. The people who work there are very helpful!

What a lucky addition to Petaluma. Great selection of hair care, and the good stuff, products a professional salon would suggest. And brands I don’t see at Ulta. And they carry such full lines, which is very rare. They have beautiful hair accessories and a lot of them. The biggest Opi nail display I have ever seen. The shop is so inspiring. This would be a great gift certificate if they have them. I wish they would come to Dallas, my new home. I’ll be back in next visit.
Afterwards head over to Lala’s ice cream shop on Petaluma Blvd. It’s an old fashioned parlor with trendy and traditional flavors.

with smiling welcoming faces everyday i pass i always feel welcomed. girls are very informed about their many of products and answering my million and one questions. great place to pick new products from the wide variety or just to get some product knowledge! the newly opened store just doors down is AMAZING. if you love to accessorize this is the place to go!!!

This store has a old world feel with a novelty style décor. The shop is clean and the sales associates are friendly. Love the selection of makeup and hair products!

I heard good things about this place but was very disappointed after having my own experience there. The two young women who worked there seemed irritated that I interrupted their conversation. The one who helped me was uninformed about the products they sold and just kept trying to show me the most expensive ones. I was looking for a flat iron. She wasn’t helpful, the store is very expensive and they are not willing to be competitive with other stores. I also wanted a conditioner and when I asked if they had the larger size bottle I was told they don’t carry it. She never even offered to order it. They do nothing to help get or keep customers. I won’t go there again. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.

I’m lucky enough to live within walking distance of Petaluma’s downtown shops and restaurants. I know the area and businesses very well.
Yesterday was my first venture into Blush Collections, a tastefully decorated, well organized boutique that offers reasonably priced costume jewelry, hats, handbags, wallets, belts, shoes, sunglasses… you get the idea!
Everything in the store is artfully displayed, interesting and fashion forward! I slowly walked through the shop, not wanting to miss a thing. What I loved most was the affordable prices! I walked out with a convertible bracelet/​necklace, drop earrings and pink and black lace sunglasses with just the right amount of bling! I spent around $ 35 for everything!
Don’t miss it! Even if you don’t make a purchase for yourself, it’s the perfect place to find the perfect gift!

Love Blush !! Nancy and (I think her name is) Melissa are so helpful and know their stuff. As my hair was processing today I walked through shopping foils and all. Love the small town feel, with a great selection and professional staff ! I come all the way from Novato even though we have many stores much closer by. I am devoted to Blush !! Kat does my hair and she rocks too. While your at it pop into Café Zazzle for a delicious bite to eat !!

Everything is over priced! The women who work there are very rude too, I was shocked by the additude I got from several of the women. Very unprofessional! I would recommend going to Ulta instead. The salon that is attached to the back of Blush is just as bad! Ulta has a salon in there store and their prices are much better and the people are very nice.

This store has it all, and the staff there is so kind, helpful, and knowledgable. I love walking through this store. They’ve always got some new nail polish color or chic shampoo. Also, they do hair feathers for a lot cheaper and more available than other places in town. All the fancy brands that I’ve come to know and love are ALL in this store. A girly girl’s dream.

But my favorite?! They sell Special Effects hair dye! I’m not aware of any other place in the area that sells SFX. They only have a handful of colors but they are some of the most popular colors.
Also, every time I have been in there the girls have been friendly and not pushy.

I’m so happy to have Blush in my town, in an incredible location where I can pop in whenever I’m downtown.
Their selection of OPI is the main thing I come for. It’s amazing. And the girls working there are always helpful. If they don’t have a color you’re looking for, they’ll order it in. And, of course, in addition to the OPI they have a truly amazing selection of skincare, hair products, cosmetics, and tools that varies from Smashbox to Dermalogica to Orly and more. And on top of all those goodies, they actually have a pretty good selection of jewelry and other accessories. They also have a Blush rewards card, every $ 100 you spend you get a coupon for $ 10 I believe.
I love shopping here because I get to buy all my favorite beauty goodies and support a local business!
