Autoworld Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM

I’ve have left FOUR messages in the past week and a half, with no call back from anyone. So perhaps this review will elicit some type of response. I brought my Chrysler in a couple years ago after rodents chewed up the wiring. Some $ 800 later, I believed it was fixed. I am now attempting to sell the car, but recently a serious potential buyer came to look at it, and pointed out that the wires are simply TAPED TOGETHER WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE.
Buyers are now skeptical because of the shoddy work, and the assumption that there are other issues with it since this was the only mechanic I ever used. I am trying to give the dealership the opportunity to rectify this situation, but adding to my aggravation is the fact that I literally cannot reach anyone there.

Took 4 GD times to even get through to anyone. Finally made appointment, 9 AM. Get there on time, wait 20 mins to even be talked to. Get a call at friggin 2:30, yeah there’s a recall problem, but can’t fix today. WTF!!! Said they’d have it back by 1 no problem, liars!!! Liquidate entire staff, rethink business model and customer service. Hopefully I never have to go back there again! Waste of friggin time!!!

I had the absolute best experience going to Autoworld this weekend. I was going in to buy my first car and there were no pictures listed of the car online. I called in and Miguel was AWESOME; he sent me pictures right away. Miguel was so great and I couldn’t have asked for a better Rep. He keeps things real and is not your hard-​sell sales guy. Keven was great working with my on financing. I brought my Fiancé’ back the next day to pick up my Jeep and he ended up buying a car from Miguel as well. Keven even called us back the next day better interest rates for both of us. Everyone was great, 5 Stars for Miguel and Keven’s great service and our great experience!

I am very surprised by all the negative reviews of AutoWorld — I have been bringing my Durango here for maintenance for many, many years and have never had a bad experience. They are always honest with me about the repairs my car needs and what it might not need right away, and I have never had a problem with the work they have done on my car.

I only wish that I could have chosen «no stars» as this qualified as the single most horrifying and disappointing experience that I have ever had with any company — and its especially painful when its an auto repair. The second worst experience I ever had was buying the 2011 Jeep Wrangler almost 5 years ago from the same organization (I’ll leave that for another horror story).
First things first, here is name for you and all those you love to avoid. Their Service Manager. Should you encounter this man run the other way as fast as you can, because if your problems are bad now, they will surely be worse when he starts talking.
As with some of the other posts, I’m sorry as well, but this is going to be a long story…
Over one month ago I brought my prized possession, my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to have the following two things fixed.
–Stock Radio not working
–Interior Dome Lights not working
–Regular Service
Doesn’t sound too bad does it? Did you catch the first part about it being over a month ago? Yes, that’s right, over a month ago. When after a few days the issue was determined to be a faulty «instrument cluster» and order was placed to a vendor to replace it. Each couple of days I was told that the part was expected in at any time. The following week I was told the order was placed that day. «What about the order that was placed last week?» — no answer for that. After another week of this back and forth I was told the «Parts Manager» placed the order but doesn’t have a tracking number or any idea when this part could arrive (is this 1975 or 2015?). Another week passed (I’ve been on two business trips by this time). When calling again, I was told the part order would be placed that day (is this making any sense to you?). «What about the 2^nd order placed last week?» — Again, I’m told by the service dept. «I’m just the middle man.» Then he told me «By the way, we were checking the radio and noticed it wasn’t working so we ordered a new one.» If you remember — that is why I brought it in — in the first place!
Let’s just cut to the end, as you can probably guess I doesn’t end well. Today, over one month later I called and asked to speak to the Service Manger «Mike H.» who told me the Jeep would be ready today, so I left work early to get there before closing to see my Jeep parked in the front… with a large crack in the windshield.
After asking to speak to Mike H., he stated, «I have to to do my due diligence and investigate this as I have a responsibility to the owner (of the dealership).» I told him «What about your responsibility to me the customer?» To that he had no reply except «I’ve only been here for 10 days.»
I opted to leave and eat the cost of the windshield myself rather than deal with this ineffectual Manager who is complaining about having to deal with issues that are part of his job description as a «Manager». He is going to fit in just great here at Autoworld.
Obviously this group only cares about their bottom line, will not take care of their customers and cause damage to your vehicle only to blame you (the customer) for it rather than take responsibility for a vehicle that was damaged while in their care for over a month.
So here we are, 2015 and as customer our only power is to vote with our wallets and not return as customer and Unilocal — I guess at least we can cathartically work through some our disappointment and only HOPE that the next person who thinks about spending their hard earned dollars at Autoworld Petaluma reads this (and the other posts) and chooses to move on North or South to find a Dealership that actually CARES about its customers, because this organization clearly DOES NOT.
I love you Jeep. I’m sorry that I put you through this. Please forgive me.

We bought a used 2006 Nissan Murano here! There is a reason that this dealership has many, yes many… President’s Club Awards! They will do anything… fix anything… make everything
right for you. Unlike many other dealerships that won’t fix anything that may be wrong with a used auto. These people do what it takes to make you want to come back. We had things that we wanted fixed with the car and everything was done… NO COST TO US! It makes me want to tell everyone about them… and when the time is right my family will be coming right back! Thanks for all the help! Very, very satisfied! :-)… Wow! AutoWorld Dodge Chrysler Jeep!!!

I have mixed emotions with this review. I should actually just make 2 reviews, but overall my experience has not been pleasant at Autoworld. I am sorry that this is going to be long, but if you are looking at getting a vehicle from here or servicing your vehicle here you should read the whole thing.
I will first start off with the positive. I bought a new Jeep Wrangler back in April from Adam Jones. If you need to get a car I would definitely tell you to use Adam. He was very pleasant to deal with. He did not try to force us into buying the car. He listened to what our situation was, and was willing to work and help us out. I would also say that the finance guy (I can’t remember his name) was wonderful as well. He didn’t try to sell us extra crap that we didn’t need on our vehicle. If you want to buy a vehicle from here I would definitely recommend Adam. Once you sign the papers don’t come back.
That is about it as far as it goes with positives. Now for the reason why I can only give 1 star:
We paid for out car Saturday, and they were delivering it from another local dealer the next day. When we got the phone call to come pick it up, my wife and I went down to get it and the car had not been detailed. I opened up the hood to take a look at the engine underneath and it was filthy with dirt like it had been left in a dirt lot somewhere. It was showroom clean but that was it. When I got it home I noticed that there was masking tape left on the «A» post (which is the driver side windshield post). I had to scrape it off with a razor blade. Thankfully I did not scratch the paint. There were barcodes still on parts underneath the vehicle.
At the 5,900 miles I had to take the jeep back in for some issues. There were like rust marks on my hood that we could not wash off, and the passenger door leaked during one of the rains and flooded my passenger floorboard. While it was in to get the work done, I had them do an oil change and tire rotation. I was assigned Fernando Torres for my Service Rep, I told him about everything and he took down all my notes. Because it was some warranty issues they gave me a rental car to use. It was a little Dodge Dart that was filthy. There were layers of dust all over the car. Not even the windows were clean. It took 3 days for them to fix the marks on the hood, the weather-​stripping on the door, tire rotation, and service.
I was at work when the jeep was ready to be picked up, so my wife went down to get it. The service staff was very rude to her and gave her a lot of grief for bringing the jeep in so early to get the oil changed and tires rotated. I didn’t think anything of it, I just figured Mechanics being rude to woman. When she got into the jeep, the jeep was dirtier then when we dropped it off. Now for when things get even worse; my son and I were driving around one night and I felt a lump under the carpet in the passenger floorboard. I couldn’t for the life of my figure out what it was. I don’t normally ride in the passenger seat so I wasn’t sure if it was new or not. One morning I was finally tired of feeling it and decided to remove the carpet and see what it was. One of the mechanics left their light under the carpet. Fast forward a few months and now I am at 8,200 miles. My change engine oil light just came on. Now explain to me how in 6,000 miles there in no indication of needing to change my oil, and not even 2,500 miles later my change engine oil light comes on? And before you say they just forgot to reset it. I have no window sticker in my jeep, the tire rotation that was supposed to be done was not done. I know that the tire rotation was not done because the only tire that has rub marks on it is the front passenger tire. Even worse once I noticed this I called Fernando to talk to him about it. I left him a Voicemail; two weeks later I have not heard anything back from him. Last Friday I called the Service Department Manager and left him a voicemail and have not heard anything back.

I have always said that the real test of a company isn’t how they handle themselves when everything turns out perfectly… the true test of a company happens when they make a mistake… and it is then when you can see what they are made of.
I own my own business. Every company, even with the highest integrity, makes mistakes. It is human nature. I bend over backwards when I have an unhappy customer, and that is exactly what Autoworld did for me. What could have been a 1 star review for this company is now a 5. This is a company that understands how to take care of a customer.
I brought my Hyundai Sonata in for a oil and filter, tire rotation and general inspection. I was leaving in two days to drive it across the country to South Carolina where I was moving. Then the unfortunate… a mechanic accidentally reversed into the front of my car while another mechanic was getting it ready to load it into the bay. My front bumper had crumpled, but luckily there was only cosmetic damage… about $ 1600 worth.
Naturally I was furious. Not only had my nearly new car taken a beating, but I knew my move across the country had just faced a serious delay.
Now we are at the point in the story where it could have gone two ways. Autoworld could have been awful, and made my life miserable in an already bummer of a situation… or they could rise to the plate and do everything absolutely perfectly — WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID.
I immediately took my car to an autobody shop of my choice. They offered me their own autobody shop but at this point in the story I wanted a private set of eyes. Autoworld offered to help expedite any parts necessary from their Hyundai supplier to help speed things along. They covered 100% of the costs of all repairs and paid the autobody shop directly for me. They also arrived at my doorstep with one of their very own rental cars that two of their mechanics personally drove over for me… free of charge.
My car was up and running again within four days… and they had me come in for a complimentary everything. They generously offered me any Hyundai accessories I wanted for my car for the inconvenience caused —
This actually is a great company. Accidents happen, as we are all human and make mistakes. They completely rose to the occasion when one of their guys made a rare mistake… and I am impressed.
Molly was the one here that I worked with from the moment the accident occurred. She is the head honcho from what I can tell. She was incredibly professional, and from the moment things turned bad she stepped in and started making them better. She really impressed me from both a communication and professional stand point. Again — it is easy to be great when everything is smooth… but to be great with a furious customer — now that takes skill.
I also would like to thank Mike who works the front service desk, as he has been great to me on numerous occasions prior.
Ironically, there is no other place in the area that I would consider bringing my Hyundai to for future services.

I will not be returning for service work at Autoworld Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. Brought my truck in for a minor service-​an oil change tire rotation and a couple of recall issues that needed to be fixed. I was told that it would take between 2 and 2 ½ hours to get it done. It took over 4 hours for my service and I got my truck back without even the offer to wash the outside of the truck. My wife’s Lincoln is cleaned inside and out each time I bring it in for any type of service. If it is going to be in the shop more than 3 hours I am always offered a loaner vehicle. There isn’t anything close to the level of service I’ve received from other dealerships in the past. Very disappointing experience and needed to voice my opinion.

I was going between 2 and 1 star, because this review is about 3 aspects of our experience. But decided on one star, because I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Here is why:
#1) choosing our car (the good experience)
The woman who helped us was nice, polite, not pushy, and «real» with us. Listened to my needs, and did her best to meet them. The best «car sales person» I have felt with. The finance man was great, too. And I was stoked on spending $ 40k with them …
… Until the car came a few hours later.
#2) getting the right car. (Ugh…)
We purchased a brand new car, and like I said above told her everything we wanted. She found the car we wanted and we signed the papers and bought it. Done and done. 2 hours later I got the call that our car was here. First thing I did was throw it into reverse to check out my awesome back up camera … And … NO CAMERA. What? Oh, oops, I guess this car didn’t have everything the sales person thought it had.
Finally… After a hassle… The «manager said he would eat the $ 1000 cost for it to get installed for free». Well, we weren’t getting the rest of the package, but the camera was the deal breaker, and we were going to get it for free now, so ok.
LOOOOONG story shorter, camera got installed and it was a $ 20 part PIECE OF SHIT camera, with a horrible display, and the image was mirrored. I called. I yelled. Eventually we got a *decent* camera installed (still after market crap) but I was sick of it, so ok.
#3: oil change and «tire rotation»
Within the first 17,000 miles I scratched a rim. Oops :(. When I got my second oil change I found out they actually charge $ 25 for a «tire rotation» (which is crazy) but important. So, ok. my husband came home with the car and I thought, I wonder where the scratch is. Oh. Look. In the same spot. I just paid $ 25 for NOTHING. I called and the guy says «in your file it says your tires got rotated» well, they did not. So I brought it in… Sitting here waiting for my car I decided to write this review. 20 minutes into me sitting here– he finally made the time to look up the wrong file twice, and is trying to find me. How hard is it?
So overall– they are great at taking your money. But cannot deliver a product for shit!
One star!
Edit: can I give zero stars? :(it took almost 90 minutes to get my tires rotated!!! Are you f%^*ing joking me??? 90 minutes??? The ONLY REASON I WILL EVER step foot in this dealership again is because they felt bad and gave me a free oil change for waiting so long after I shouldn’t be here at all if they just did their job the first time. So I’ll get my freebe and be done.

Ask for Miguel Angulano !! Very nice guy & helped us so much. We felt no pressure into buying. He is easy to talk to & easy to get along with ! .
They had many new & used cars to choose from which was nice. Price ranges were great also.
Over all great service, friendly staff, very welcoming environment, & good
location, we loved the experience (:

I have been here +uite a few times now for my Jeep Rubicon that has been having serious issues. As we have been figuring out how to proceed with fixing the Jeep’s issues, Sean Parnell in the service department has been absolutely epic! Very accommodating. As someone who works in the service industry, I have an appreciation for those that work hard in a mostly thankless job. I can only imagine the rude, entitled people they have to deal with at a dealership. Anyways, besides Sean, who I would ask for if you come here, the staff is very kind and patient here. Additionally as I was taking a stroll outside on the lot, I was approached by a sales rep. Which I know is typical. He asked if I needed help, and I told him I was getting my Jeep serviced. He said «yes I noticed», but I meant if need anything at all besides looking at a car, please let me know, water, a snack, etc. «I wish I had gotten his name. But these guys have A+ customer service.

The sales person was nice, but a bit pushy initially. It was clear that management here is very pushy and not great.
I had called over the phone and talked to a sales person, who said we could of course come down and test drive the vehicle we were looking for. Upon arrival, we were told we couldn’t drive the Jeep since we weren’t ready to buy that day. Very upsetting. Our sales guy was nice and apologetic, but again, management clearly sucks.
How do you expect to make a sale if someone can’t drive the car?

I just bought my Hyundai last year, and needed to take it in for it’s first oil change.
I called last week and said I needed to schedule it and the man over the phone quickly said «Well we don’t have anything until next week, we are really busy.»
Ooooook… Well. I told him I still needed it, so when was the first day available? (Was he trying to talk to me OUT of coming? Really confusing…)
I made an appointment for this week and drove up from Marin to get it done. I was hoping since it was only an oil change, it would be quick and we could head back in no time.
Nope.
When I walked in one man nicely said they would be with me in a moment, and another guy stared me down like I had two heads. Was the look supposed to imply he was ready to help me? I couldn’t tell because he didn’t say anything. I walked up and said I had an appointment and he looked in the computer, all the while acting for moment like he couldn’t find me in their system. After a couple of minutes, he did and had me sign a couple of things. He asked me if I was planning to wait, to which I asked how long it would take. He said an hour and a half.
Ok, hold up. stop the presses… an HOUR and a half to do oil and wash a car? I can do it in town in 15 minutes and get a car wash at home from my husband. What in the WORLD?
I had already driven up there so I said ok, fine, and decided to go on a walk so I wouldn’t be stuck in the waiting room. PS: Nothing is around here. Nothing to walk to, nothing to do. so if you don’t have someone to pick you up you are pretty much just stuck in their boring waiting room for hours. Not the dealership’s fault, but just a warning.
2 hours later I had my car and was driving home.
Between the attitude from two different men, and the wait time, never again.

Service is for the lack of a better word, awful. Went to get my cila jet done here. The interior part of this job was done without detail and to be honest it probably was done without any care in the world. The exterior part claims to be corrosion proof so let’s pray on that. My window tint on the drivers side was scratched about 6 inches and there was another scratch underneath. I had to get this tint redone. So all in all, service workers suck. They don’t care much. If they did the result would show. Enough said

Tony, the Service Manager, is clearly the star of this show. His demeanor was exactly what I needed after a rough year of dealing with this dealership. He made things right. I have just one more issue to resolve, and I can sincerely believe he’ll get it taken care of. I’ll be happy to work with Tony again.

This place isn’t so bad. I called Petaluma Hyundai to get my oil changed — I recently bought my Hyundai, so I wanted to bring it by a dealer for its first service. Petaluma Hyundai has all of their maintenance done here, which is how I ended up here.
Pros: Nice staff, the price for an oil change was very fair — they even gave a discount since it was my first time there. They washed the car on the outside — a nice touch!
Cons: The waiting area is pretty janky. The service took a bit longer than estimated when I got there. They left some sort of oily mark on my steering wheel. They don’t service through Petaluma Hyundai on Saturdays, so it’s just M-​F for the Hyundais.
Overall: it’s not bad. I don’t know that I would return, but it was decent service.

If I could give zero stars I would.
Dishonest people. Told me a car was mint condition over the phone. I drove 2 hours to the dealership to see the car, as it was the exact specs that I wanted in a hard to find make/​model. When I arrived the car had a funny smell to it, the back seats were were a bit dirty, and had dog hair in the cracks. They told me they only had an hour to detail it, so they hadn’t had a chance to complete it. Turns out they had skillfully placed seat covers over the front seats and told me it was the original upholstery, which was a blatant lie. The car had really low miles so I bought it anyways thinking it was a good deal despite the cosmetics, and that it just needed a good detail.
Brought the vehicle home and that is when I started noticing that the original owner had used the vehicle as a camping/​hunting vehicle. Explains the low miles, just had used it for only weekend trips in the mud. Started peeling back the layers and kept finding more dirt, more dog hair, more mud. Rear differential makes noise when turning hard. Now I’m wondering if the vehicle had even been maintained properly.
Bottom line, the vehicle was A FAR CRY from mint condition. The fact that they put seat covers on there and told me it was the original upholstery is shameful.

I only gave one star because you had to.
This was the worst customer service experience ever!
Fernando the service writer gives you the run around and says he is inspecting parts when he is not. It took two weeks to diagnose the problem because he wanted to tell me what he recommends I do rather than what the issue actually is.
After our Warranty service came to inspect and approve the estimate– we get a call from Fernando stating that the warranty approved two of the issues but that they were not going to pull apart the part for proper inspection for the warranty service to approve the third issue. He said I could take my car back with out the issue being resolved.
He wanted me to drive my car off the lot with something wrong with it!
After three weeks of going back and forth with the service writer we finally got the call that our vehicle was finished i phoned to see if the service porter could pick me up at the rental car place in case they were super busy, and the Julie a service writer at Auto World said to me” I don’t even want to deal with you when you came in today“
I was shocked!
The manager, Director and Owner are all very pleasant to deal with. It is unfortunate that the first point of contact tries to sell you unwanted and unneeded parts and services and then gives you the run around when you ask specific questions regarding why it is recommended
Please do not take your car here… save your self the stress and hassle of dealing with employees who DO NOT APPRECIATE YOUR BUSINESS…

Started out fine, got a price we wanted. Then ended horribly.
Bought a brand new Jeep. Was late at closing so he said bring it back tmrrw for detailing. Did that, took it back home. Following day in different light noticed a few serious scratches on the plastic covering the speedometer. Took it back to dealer, salesperson said «we didn’t have the usual detailer in and it looks like the cleaner was wearing a ring and gouged the plastic. But you’ve had the car for 2 days already so it’s too late. Otherwise we would have just given you a new car.»
Yeah, you damaged the brand new car I just paid $ 40,000 for, and it’s my problem. Clearly.
After a few follow up visits we were told something would be tried, «we will call you». Uh huh, sure. After many MORE calls and emails, nothing. INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING and unprofessional. Living up to the reputation of a car salesman.
