Today’s ride was very disappointing. The dispatcher was a really kind guy who promptly took my location for taxi dispatch. Upon the drivers arrival however, there were other passengers in the cab which had not been previously disclosed to me! Because I was late for work this cab had to do, however I am very displeased at this company for sending me a shared cab when not previously discussed on the phone. When calling back to complain the dispatcher apologized but I still think this service needs to work on avoiding incidents like this for future customers. Make sure to verify EVERY detail on the phone before ordering a taxi from A-​1

One of the drivers (the owner?) pulled out right in front of me, then gave me some full on attitude asking if I knew how fast the speed limit is??? so he judged i was going too fast and pulled out in front of me anyway? what a Dick, and he is the owner? he laughed… nice business, i will never recommend or use Dans unsafe driving taxi service.

Cab smells of cigarettes, drivers consider street posting as optional, they carbon copy your CC and good luck with customer service. If you need a cab I recommend J’s taxi. Clean cars with working seat belts, courteous drivers, and they don’t take your CC info like it’s 1985.

I got Shawna as a driver last weekend and I must say… It was the best taxi ride of my life. I was laughing the whole time and she was such a safe and efficient driver. I would highly recommend Shawna and will be using her for any rides in the future. Plus she is a super babe! Thanks for the lift :)

Fast and prompt to arrive to my house. Very friendly driver, he even allowed my pooch to go along for the ride across town.

Kemo is great! Called to get a cab from downtown Petaluma to Cotati on a Tuesday. Answered right away. Picked me up within 5 minutes. Very friendly service!

AWFUL. I didn’t even get the displeasure of riding in a taxi because the service was so horrendous. Let me explain…
At 9:00 am this morning, I called and was cheerfully greeted by a lady on the phone. I requested a 7:00 pm pick-​up from my house to be dropped off at the airport shuttle about 1 mile away. She asked for my name and phone number, and we were good to go.
At 6:55 pm, I went outside to wait for my taxi, knowing honestly they probably wouldn’t show until 7:05 or so but okay with that because my bus didn’t leave until 7:30. At 7:10 however, I thought it prudent to call and check in.
*phone rings and I hear a click like it’s been answered*
Me: Uh… hello?
Lady: Yeah?
Me: Is… is this A-​1 Taxi?
Lady: What?
Me: Is this A-​1 Taxi?
Lady: Yeah.
Me: Ok… I was calling to check on my 7:00 taxi and–
Lady: I thought you said 7:30!!!
Me: Uh, no. I needed a 7:00–
Lady: OKAY I’ll send them right now!
Me: Ok, thank you.
*click*
I was obviously very put off by this conversation where they lady neither answered the phone by identifying herself or asked WHO I WAS, but seeing how I didn’t have time now to call another taxi service I just decided to wait. At 7:17, I called again because now time was pressing.
*phone rings*
Lady: A-​1 Taxi of Petaluma.
Me: Hi, yes, I called about 10 minutes ago to check on my 7:00 taxi and just wondered when they might be here because my bus leaves in 13 minutes.
Lady: Yeah, he’s out there and he called you.
Me: *looks around* I’m at the sidewalk and don’t see anyone.
Lady: Are you NIcole (some last name I don’t remember).
Me: No… I’m Bri and live at (address).
Lady: *growing impatience* That must have been someone else then. I don’t have any pick-​ups for that address.
Me: I called this morning and requested a 7:00 pm pick up at (address).
Lady: *very rudely now* Oh, there it is but I guess it got mixed with the others. I’ll send someone right now.
Me: Ok… thanks.
At this point, I decided I would rather pay to park my car at the fairgrounds than pay for an awful taxi service and miss my bus, so I called back. This time, the lady just answered by screaming «HELLO?» into the phone. I said to forget about the taxi for my address, and she said «OK thanks» and hung up.
I seriously hope that if you ever call this taxi service, it’s because you have NO OTHER OPTIONS AT ALL.

I only use A1 Taxi! Actually my whole family only uses A1. They are a great company. Always reliable and always very personable drivers! Of course my favorite driver is Dan! He is always has a smile on his face and normally has a joke to tell to put a smile on your face as well. I highly recommend them.

I had a chance to meet the swing shift dispatcher. I think they are the unsung heroes in the transportation bussiness. We got along great (being a dispatcher myself). I would like to contact her directly and let her know that she is appreciated but I cant remember her name and thought it a bit unprofessional to call the company to contact her. Perhaps someone will see this and let her know that Darren has no way of contacting her. Maybe look him up on facebook under darren hanselman.

Eric L. is the best cabbie in Petaluma. When he is wrong he admits it quickly and emphatically (if he ever is wrong that is). Most cabbies act like first year thieves, Eric acts like a professional. Eric knows all of Petaluma, fast, reliable and all around great cabbie.

We always use A-​1 taxi, but next time there is a busy night, I will be calling somebody else. Now, I know that St. Patrick’s day is incredibly busy, but what I dealt with is a little much.
At 7:00 I called to have a cab pick me up and take me about 2 miles from my home. The dispatcher said it would only be a few minutes. I waited for over an hour and still no cab. When I called, the dispatcher said «Oh! You should have been picked up a long time ago.» and said she would call out again. My cab arrived at 8:30.
When I was thinking about leaving, I called the cab, knowing it might be a little while. The dispatcher said it would be about 15 minutes. I waited 10 and then went outside so as not to miss my cab. I stood there for about 45 extra minutes before calling and asking. The dispatcher replied «Its a busy night. I don’t know when you will get a cab» and hung up. I tried hailing about 5 that passed by me in that time. After waiting for an hour, I gave up and walked home, alone, in the rain. This was an awful experience.

Erik L is their best cabbie out there. He is the one who looks like Edward Norton in fight club.
He drives the fastest around town with the best rates and has the best customer service in the biz. He services everyone he meets.
Thanks Erik for driving me around after downtown Petaluma late night.
This guy works 24 hrs a day and services all of Sonoma County sometimes. He knows where everything is.
