For an affordable price of gas, I had the best seat in the house and was able to witness one of the most spectacular but free shows on earth – nature. We drove along few beaches: Butano Beach, San Gregorio, Pescadero Beach – among the few. I was awed by the stillness and vastness of the ocean as well as by the powerful surfs. For 15 miles which were actually less than 15 minutes, I was able to achieve serenity and solitude which have been very rare in my noisy world. During that beautiful afternoon ride along Highway 1, my soul was in total peace. All I knew was I was witnessing beauty and quiet and the wind on my face. My high school teacher wrote to me once that it seems like«God communicates to you through nature.» This is not about religion but nature has always been my form of prayer. And today, my soul felt it once more. You have to be there to understand.
